I first tried my MP8 capable Barb on Master and found it tough to do, so I went to Hard and that was too easy so I pumped it up to Expert which was not bad. I could not find much gear better but that was before they stopped lvl61 stuff dropping. I decided to start a new toon, a DH and finished the game on normal and got to lvl35, found some fun and different legs at a reasonable pace......over all it was a blast to lvl a new character, more fun then vanilla.
I am going to start new characters when ROS comes out because it is now a fun game to start fresh with the new skills and item affixes. The animations are good and sound effects are great, my DH first leg was a Demon Machine bow, it sounded like a shot gun going off.....great stuff.
I have done 2 cursed chest, the first one I completed and the chest doubled to 2 chest but the loot was crap, should be better for the waves of monsters you had to fight off. The second one I did not complete because the timer ran out....I did not know that it was a timed event.
Over all I like the PTR a lot, way better then the way the game is at the moment and can not wait for ROS

This may have been brought up but here goes........Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I think I consider my self a casual player, I play when I get home from work to relax and enjoy a game to get my mind off the real world for a few hours. I have played D2 since before LOD and was tickled pink when D3 was released. But the thing is not much has changed really, you grind for hours to get a slight up grade which is tedious. I don't expect to find great gear hourly, once or twice a week be nice considering I like playing all characters for different play styles and use of a bigger range of items.
My problem right now is that even tho my highest character is plvl60 I can not find anything that makes this game fun. I am not one of the top elite players who have the best gear and can play in MP10 and have better chances of more legs. I am lucky if I find one or two legs in a whole night of playing. People go on about how easy the game is and legs fall like rain bla bla bla but they are not casual players.
This game is being catered to elite gamers with end game being for them. I have not done hell fire ring or Pony land because I am simply unable to play on that higher difficulty. The most gold I ever had was 55 mil because of one good item I found (from hundred of hours playing) that will not happen again with auction house closing.
Don;t get me wrong, I don;t want to come across as bitching or any thing, I like the game and I am looking forward to the upcoming patch and ROS but just wanted to convey what would make the game a little bit more fun/rewarding for the casual player. With the nerf to Bounty rewards now, does that now means grinding bounties to get the final Horodric cache reward?
I had the chance to play console and was looking forward to the better drops and upgrades but as soon as I got to 60 and finished Inferno I now struggle to find a leg or even one thats an up grade. I can not even play above Hard mode with out being raped.....is this the direction how D3 is going?
Flame suit on.....flame away

Yes, go with the Archon of vitality ones with a high strength roll. They can roll with a high strength but the Strength gloves rolls with a lower vitality.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep

Vitality big time, a lot of your gear has no or little vitality except for pants and those you put in your self. Craft a shoulders of vitality for a start with good strength and resist. Craft a better ammy while you are at it, in fact do a bunch of crafting since that will give you more for your buck in the short run.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep

Hi all, just wanted to mention that I have been playing PS3 D3 with my wife and step daughter. I have to admit it is a lot of fun and feels different to the PC version. Loot is the biggest change of cause, it is not over done I think, you get up grade at a pretty good pace just when you think you need one. Legs drop a lot more then PC (that would not be hard considering the state of the game) and it seems about 60/40 whether it is usable or not for your character. I think you get more drops in co-play then single. Skills seem more buffed but that could be more the better gear then anything.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Over all I really like the consol version, there is a sense of reward from playing. We are in nightmare and have found 2 puzzle rings (never on PC with Barb Plvl59) and boy!!! is it fun having couple of treasure gobs running around while fighting a elete pack. Trouble is I have now got no interest in playing the PC version, it is boring and unrewarding and probably will not play until the loot 2.0 comes out. But the consol has made me look forward to loot 2.0 just so much more then before, wish it did not take so long and the the dev team now was there from beginning (They are doing a great job)
Happy gaming every one.

looks good but life seems low, how you survive in high MP with no life steal?....just curious. Maybe vitality shoulders would give a boost.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
My Barb first time showing him, not the greatest but I am not rich in gold. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/KiwiMustang-1841/hero/3539403

Hi welcome back to D3, I have a echo on my ,off hand with the fear proc and it can be annoying. Choices are limited to a lower fear proc percentage on echo, a rare with same damage and stats or a 2 hand Skorn. Only trouble with Skorn is having more IAS to make up for the slower att but it does have a bucket load of damage.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
