Thanks for the build, been playing a cold build but gave this a try and I love it. I am a 80 to 90k less dps then you and still have no problem on T1, 19% fire dam and 15% wave of force dam from items helps too lolPosted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

Well that is good but on PTR it does not show the % increase in description of level and I have not heard about how often legs drop in T1 and higher. Also I like a good fight but 2 hours to kill a monster is not what I call fun.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

You are correct that we don't want to be flooded with legs like it was in Vanilla but I think it is a bit low right now, all it will take is a small increase. I have not played Beta and I have not tried gambling to see if any legs can be gotten yet but if /when it does I wonder how many legs per hour will be able to be obtained (mats allowing), I think that could be abused a little. I think that was why Unique's stopped showing with gambling in D2, after all you should be able to find legs killing monsters more often then in gambling.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
And if that is the case and with finding 1 leg per 2 hours (cough cough) then gambling is going to take for ever and a shit load of mats = a long long grind feast.

You are correct that the drops are not great, you are better off playing Normal as the drops are the same (sad but true) but the good news is that the drop rate and self found loot is almost exactly where Blizzard wants them to be barring a little tweaking as stated in the latest post by Travis Day (eyes roll).Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
We the people have repeatedly said that the rewards are not great but what do we know.
To be a bit more constructive if they up the drop rate of legs to be a bit more competitive with gambling on Beta (or better....as it should be) and more chance of getting mats. The mats they are working on which is good, but I feel that their sense that the drop rate is at the 50%-100% ball park area is not quite true because the game as logic dictates feels unrewarding at the moment.
And experience gained is painfully slow at level 60, maybe that will change at ROS launch.

BOA does not worry me, if I find legs I will use them for all my characters and if I don't need it no big deal, I will just vend or sell. But what is annoying is once again the devs just stated that the designers love the idea of killing monsters to get loot, kill more monsters and get more loot how ever they have partially killed that idea by dropping leg rates because of gambling legs.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I DO WANT TO FIND LOOT but how can I if the leg drop is poor, I don't intend to gamble my ass off just to MAYBE get legs. I have not had the chance to try gambling and so therefore I do not know what is involved, does it cost gold and mats? and if you do how often you run out before you need to run out and get more?
BOA is just one part of the over all tuning problems at the moment, there has to be a balance but finding loot should be the biggest priority to pleasing most of the player base. It is like "What came first? the chicken or the egg?" we need loot before we can start worrying about BOA.

I don't want to spend all my time gambling for legs, I want to find them my self.....a much better feel of awesomeness. They said there is a chance of getting a leg gambling but we all know what "chance" mean's to Blizzard....next to zilch. Who cares if I find more legs with higher drop rate, I want to play the content, over powered or not. After all there is at least 300 odd legs, it will take a long time to find them, let alone with the right rolls. If drop rate stay the way it is I will never probably find them, just like D2, 11 years of playing and still never found most of the top gear........that sucks Donkey balls..Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

You know what Is the real worry here? the fact that I agree with every thing mentioned in this thread (and I thought it was only me) I really want this game to succeed and to enjoy like I did D2 but it eludes me so far. It seems that for every good thing that comes out of this game, we the player get penalized two fold for it.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Not every one will have the luxury of playing full time in Torment (besides what is the point when Normal gives the same rewards at the moment which is sad. In D2 when you got to higher difficulty's you at least had the fulfillment of looking towards better rewards, bigger the boss better the loot but bosses now are to be avoided. Since latest patch came out I played the other night for more then 6 hours and found one leg (crap) and experience gained is virtually non-exsistant.
I am not trying to compare D2 to D3 but don't say reward us with playing and then not reward us....proof is in the pudding.
I hope that some things change for the better and sooner then later........give me a will to play please!!

Explain the skills you chose and why, a video of the build in action would be nice. I tried mirror image and the clones seem to be always in the wrong spot and are a little bit stupid.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
