I reloaded D2 for a blast from the past, had a little trouble loading it for some reason but got it sorted out, It is still fun after all this time, the game actually loads much much faster now then it used to and no lag and not one disconnect or error while playing.....good stuff. I am using a quad core gaming machine with Win 10.

Its funny really, you never hear people with crappy/medium gear and/or low MF flaming people reporting about loot drops, it is mostly always people with the best gear and MF........look at me, I kill everything, the game is so easy, I get lots of greens and legends....blah blah blah and oh year.....it's R A N D O M

Yes we know loot drops is random, yes we know more MF is better (if you have the gold to support that.....a lot of people don't) I thought that more MF does not increase the drop just the quality of the dropped item. What peeves me is the elite group of players that have 400 MF farming the hell out of act 3 flaming people with less better gear, whats the point of a game that revolves around loot if you don't get loot as you progress,,,,,,it's BS that you have to wait till you got mega million gear and are at the top of the game. And what's the point of MF if the first couple of hundred mean nothing. When I get a para lvl I think oh good more MF and then realise.....big deal.
All people want is one or two good items every now and then, not once a month it keeps the fun factor up and the game more enjoyable. When you grind for months and get nothing it is very disappointing, this is why some people are leaving. We are not talking about good rares and legendaries falling every hour, now that would be ridiculous.
Personally I have over 600 hrs in and all toons to 60 with 5 para or more and have found enough brownies to count on one hand and it is getting easier to find something else to do instead of playing this game. but I keep playing in the hope..........

Tonite I finally got into the patch after Blizz resolved a few issues (finally). I first had to figure out to change MP, I found it in the change quest tab but you have to enable it first in the option tab. I started out on MP1 in act one inferno, my character has about 44.5k dam with 45k hp and 800 to 900 resist all after buffs (wizard using electrocute and poison hydra).
General game play was harder then patch 1.0.4 but a shade easier then act 2 in same patch but not by much. I was hoping it would be the same but it is not, I had a bull hit me and took half my bubble in one hit. High crit dam is a must, I am averaging only 30k average on chain lightening and it is not enough. I had to use Arcane to kill every pack.
Items do roll with higher and more stats regardless of item lvl but I did not find too many lvl 63 items. Found a blue 2 hand bow lvl 61 with 1021 dam and 150 dex. Doing side quest and opening resplendent chest gives you nep stacks which is nice and the chest really burst it seems with lots more goodies.
I then tried out MP0 in same area, it was definitely easier then 1.0.4 which for me and other people with average gear will be nice and give us a chance to progress further into inferno. Item drops and stats were about the same as normal but having nothing dropping under lvl58 is welcomed (I would have preferred lvl 60 after all it is inferno). I found the key warden in both MP modes but no key.
So by the looks of it, to get the better items you need MP1 or more which means you need to be tuffer, I am just hoping that now that I will have the opportunity to get better items in act 1 and can buff my character where as before I had no hope of getting to act 3 to find items. I am sure there are others in the same boat as me, we are not all well geared and finding the game easy like the elite few.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head, so I hope this helps fellow casual gamers like me.

Is any one else here suffering from this?, I wonder how many hardcore characters have died from this?.......anyone?
I am in process of reloading d3 to see if that helps because since new patch I also get a load error on start up.

My plan is to play normal and upgrade the Blacksmith no more then what lvl gear I can use but try and stock on crafting material and aim for end of Normal to amass my gold for Nightmare. Sell any lower yellows or high repeat blues on AH.

Order of Play
Barb: I naturally went Barb first and he is fun to play even tho his big noise hit all the time got annoying. But still a good tank and damage out put, I had no problem with his resource set up. He has a better sense of humor then the others.
Demon Hunter: Safer then the in your face Barb unless surrounded then you better start kiting. Her firing speed a little slow but better weapons will fix that even with her rapid fire because it sucked up her resource. Very mobile and long range hitter.
Wizard: As others have said, your typical Sorce and more or less what you would expect. No out standing spells this early in on the Beta but still did the job, had to kite the SK a lot but was fun doing so.
Monk: I was all Barb before this, played a female (male is ugly) and loved the power and speed. A good tank, basically went nose to nose with the SK trading blows. Big potential for big power and boss killer but have no worries with being surrounded, handled the Jar of Souls the easiest. Needs bigger tits tho lol.
Witch Doctor: This one fooled me, I thought what a goofy character for D3 but boy was I wrong. Enjoyed him the most, good range fighter and AOE with lots of tools at hand. Loved his poison darts runed, with a high DPS weapon and 3 darts it was like a machine gun. The dogs were ok but low damage, did the job in normal play but SK wiped his butte with them.
My preference is:
Monk
Witch Doctor
Barb
Demon Hunter
Wizard
