The cheapest item anywhere near these stats on the US GAH is near 20 mil last I checked, and none have MF.

    Serious offers only, no BS.

    BUY IT NOW: 70 M

These boots are currently on AH for 106m buyout for the next ~18 hours. If they don't sell I'll settle for the best offer I get here (assuming it's reasonable).

posted a message on Belial post 1.0.3
    This is sad to hear.....

I first killed Belial a month or so ago with about 9.6k dps, 35k hp and 600-800 resists with shout up. I used a pure tanking build and struggled to survive the first 2 phases, with the third phase taking a VERY long time (over 5 minutes easily). However, I still managed to kill him......and it felt good. I needed to be pure tank to survive the act 2 elite packs at the time, as I didn't have an obscene amount of gold to spend to get both high dps AND defensive stats (pieces of gear with IAS in addition to str/vit/res all or crit %/crit dmg where IAS couldn't be found).

I don't think people should be penalized for going the defensive route, it's not like it makes it easier having to stay in phase 3 for over 5 minutes. You have to be more alert for a longer period of time, and there are more chances for errors.

In comparison, I leveled a DH 2 weeks later and managed to kill Belial in phase 3 in less than 20 seconds the first night I hit 60 with about 50k dps with sharpshooter (which is low). Granted, the first 2 phases were harder since if anything hit me I would instantly die, but if I did manage to get to phase 3.....then Belial would get melted to 0 hp in a matter of seconds.

Enrage timers on bosses are kind of ridiculous from a tank barb (and maybe monk) point of view.

I've yet to go back to act 2 to try out nerfed Belial. I guess because of the nerfs, I wouldn't need to put such an emphasis on defensive stats/skills/gear like I had to do pre 1.0.3.....thus making it possible to just go full out dps and faceroll act 2 and Belial.

Certain people might feel like the only way for them to complete act 2 is to be a tank. If your gear is good enough to survive elite packs (and even their enrages) and boss fights without dying or dying rarely, then you are geared enough to start progressing to the next act.

But the game doesn't let you progress because you lack the damage to burn down the boss before he trolls you and fills the whole room with death circles while screaming "LOLOLOL YOU CAN TAKE MY HITS BUT YOU CAN'T HOLD DOWN YOUR MOUSE AND KILL ME BEFORE MY FIRST EXPLOSION PHASE SO U LUZ BRAH".........well IMO that's a problem.

Of course, none of this affects me personally......but I was just bored and provided a wall of text for you to read if you choose =)

posted a message on [US] price check- will take offers- 2 hander (barb only) 1169 dps 95% crit damage
2H non ranged weapons below 1200 dps on US AH have gone down tremendously in price, not to mention most barbs past act 1 inferno are sword + shield. I don't really see that weapon selling well.

Your best bet is to search AH for 2handers with similar DPS and stats and undercut those.

posted a message on What do you think of my Tank Barb?
    Quote from Snookey

    Quote from hinekome9

I'm using both shouts and I'm curious are the shouts like the shields on wizards? such as you can have only 1 up?
No, you can use both War Cry and Threatening Shout at the same time.

Right now I'm trying to reduce all damage by 20% for 15 seconds flat and give us MF bonus.
Then I picked up my shout to increase armor and give me a nice health regen which also I gain 1% of my max health from my passive when I use this as well.

I guess you want input regarding inferno difficulty. So lets look at your skill choices one by one.

    - Frenzy: Frenzy is the barbarian's best single target damage source. I personally don't really like life over time. In inferno, 6 seconds seems like forever as a melee. It is very likely that your health will drop from 100 to zero in a second, so the rune just doesn't provide that much survivability in my opinion. You also loose much damage potential by not picking Sidearm (great AoE damage) or Maniac.

    - Rend: I haven't used rend in any of my builds, so I can't say much about the skill.

    - Ignore Pain + Ignorance is bliss: Great skill/rune-combination, I love it. No need to say more.

    - Revenge + Provocation: Same as above. Revenge is really mandatory in Inferno and provides incredible heal. The rune increases its reliability, which is great.

    - War Cry + Invigorate: War Cry is a great skill, I highly recommend you use it in combination with Impunity. It increases your resistances by 50% and is also mandatory if you want to survive.

    - Threatening Shout + Grim Harvest: TS is a nice skill, but I have no place for it in my build. The rune is a waste, you really can't afford it in inferno difficulty.

    Passives:
If you want to beat act 2+ I highly recommend picking Tough As Nails, Superstition and Nerves Of Steel for the survivability. I guess relentless is also viable, but I don't use it.

Your build also lacks a skill for mobility. Leap and Furious Charge are both such skills. Leap + Iron Impact basically makes you invincible for 4 seconds after using it. FC + Dreadnought provides great heal at the same time. I currently use both of them and wouldn't want to miss a single one of them.

Well, that's just my opinion and others might disagree with me. I hope I could be of help for you and wish you good luck and much fun with your barbarian!

Edit: I'm using this build for progressing. Currently I'm in act 4 at Rakanoth.

What are your stats? hp/dps/armor/resist all with shout and enchantress

I'm using the same build as you, and I can breeze through act 2 inferno maintaining 5 stacks without a problem.

My stats with shout and enchantress are 9628 armor, ~41.5k hp, 10.7k dps, and 940-1100 resist all (940 phys -_-) with around 400 life on hit.

I don't have a stormshield, string of ears, justice lantern or helm of command....just using a blue shield with 70 resist all, a lot of armor and around 3700 block value.

i think my stats are decent enough, yet I still get shit on in act 3, I am sometimes able to kill rare packs because of Tyrael, but usually I just end up getting destroyed.

I'm assuming you solo, If you don't solo then disregard this post.

That might be the attitude of a lot of people....

posted a message on Inferno act 1 high damage hulk build
I take a similar approach to act 1 inferno...

    build: http://us.battle.net...kViT!cZS!aZbcab

I use a 2hander and no resist gear (unless my dps item happens to have resist on it) and plow right through pretty much everything without dying with the exception of a rare pack with shielding, but I usually finish those off without a problem too (They just don't get insta killed by earthquake like all the others)

The general idea of the strat is to gain fury with war cry before you engage an elite pack, pop battle rage and jump in there and WOTB 100% + EQ no fury cost combo and watch them melt. It's even better if you manage to get high fury beforehand and WOTB EQ with berserker rage up.

Don't worry, even if they are assholes and run out of your earthquake after you use it, you should be able to kill them with the remaining time on WOTB and keep yourself up via revenge/potions.

Revenge might seem "defensive" to you and I guess it is, but it also does a shit load of damage and pretty much heals you to full hp if you are pulling tons of stuff at once like you should be. If anything, revenge is the most hulky, bloodthirsty ability we have. We are using the blood and tears of our enemies to empower us! omnomnom

War cry invigorate for act 1, simply because I don't use resist gear so the impunity is useless and the extra hp gives me a higher chance of killing them before they kill me. The on demand fury is nice too, as it lets you use your burst cooldowns faster.

Oh, and while frenzy maniac is amazing on bosses if you can keep the 5 stacks up and not have to run away a lot, I prefer sidearm because it acts like a built in cleave, so you can aoe while you single target...and it also does a good amount of damage to bosses as well. The biggest thing is that it essentially frees up a slot that does not have to be wasted on cleave, since cleave is pretty much a waste for boss fights and you can't change your skills if you want to keep your 5 stacks of nephalem valor.

And IMO, Boon of Bul-Kathos passive is absolutely required for any build with both WOTB and EQ in it. Think about it, if the majority of your damage to elite packs and bosses is based on those two abilties, you will want to be able to use them as much as possible.

You will get taken to low hp a lot with this build and probably have to use a lot of potions...and you may even die a few times if you get unlucky with revenge procs, but it doesn't happen too often!

    Best of luck!

TLDR: Keep up 30% battle rage and run right in the middle of rare/champion packs and pop your 4000% weapon damage EQ and collect teh loots!

I use ground stomp (wrenching) in my solo inferno act 1 build, really saves me a lot and also allows me to setup WOTB insanity earthquakes better.

posted a message on DiabloFans Calculator Build Contest (ONE POST ONLY)
Well I plan on playing a Barbarian in Diablo III, here's my build:

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WQiSUP!Zgh!ZcZbcZ

This build is pretty much a casual "kill it before it kills you" build meant for leveling on the regular difficulty. There's a bit of defensive skills as well in the form of War Cry and Ignore Pain, just in case things get messy and I bite off more than I can chew.

I plan on doing a lot of AoE damage and chain-pulling packs of enemies, so whirlwind and overpower were easy choices along with brawler to buff the damage I do in AoE situations.

Wrath of the Berserker and Frenzy seem like amazing and pretty much mandatory skills to me, and Ruthless + Unforgiving passives just increase my damage output even further.

I hope to try this build soon!

posted a message on Why do you melee/Barb?
No matter what game I play, whether it be WoW, Skyrim, KoA: Reckoning, Diablo 2....I always play a heavily armored axe swinging berserker... killing everything in my path. Not to say I don't play other classes as well, but my first play through is always as some type of warrior/barbarian! There's nothing better than charging right into a pack of aggressive mobs and chopping their heads off with my giant axe! Even if ranged/magic using classes seem easier to level, I always find a way to make the barbarian type class work out just fine.
