And I guess that most active users on the AH present on march 17 will probably buy RoS.. which is not good for business..

Hey guys, I was just wondering if you thought the price were gonna skyrocket the day before the AH closure?
Are you waiting to sell useless stuff (gems under marquise, crafting mats, etc) or did you already sold all you can to boost your gold stash?

    Thanks.

posted a message on Co-Op: Too Strong
This is intended, I remember (no sources, don't remember at which point they did) that Blizzard once told that they put it this way to encourage co-op play. I think that was around the implementation of the MP system. At some point it was scaling near 100% per additional party member or so, but if you wanted to play co-op you had to have all the same level of equipment (in terms of "power").

Now you can join a public game and still have fun/be as efficient as solo even if some have medium equipments and others high end stuff.

The opposite is true, if everybody have great gear than you'll do better in co-op. But this is at the profit of playing with randoms/friends with lower gear and still be efficient, which is a pretty good concept imo.

I'd also be interesting in knowing that.

As well as value for current gems, and if I should stop crafting them (gems) and wait for the 2 new high end gems that will drop in-game in RoS as opposed to only be available upon crafting them right now.

I've been selling stuff on the AH too (and yes, I know it is going away soon). I've made a ton of gold and don't plan on using it until RoS is out. I don't want to be limited in what I can do or how fast I can repair/upgrade vendors because I entered the expac with only 300 mil gold.
Only 300 mil gold ?! :P I think in all my playtime I never exeeded 10 mil lol .... never had great gear either/didn't play that much.

I've been selling a lot of my drops on the AH, already made like 500m from plans and someone has bid 700m on an EF with dex/socket
Oh and about gold, right now it could be useful to buy gems or plans or whatever, but come RoS/Auction house closure what will it be used for? I mean will there be a point in having more than 2-3 million in your stack?

I guess we don't have a lot of info about Mystic services prices and such?

Oh, well I'm having wayy more fun now that I ever had in D3. But the thing is that my available playtime is not where I'd like it to be and Titanfall will have me away from D3 easily from its launch to RoS launch so now I won't feel bad at all to not play D3 until RoS :)

It's just sad that it took 2 years to get to this point. I thought they'd learned things from D2 and got things right from the start. Anyway, can't be negative right now, the game is amazing at this state.

    Hey guys,

I just came back to D3 and was wondering if there was any point in farming right now other than leveling up Paragon?

Correct me if I'm wrong but RoS will indeed have new legendaries and a whole set specifically when you hit 70 and play Torment 1 at least?
And even without legends, the stat range from rares will probably be higher than those we have right now simply because of getting to level 70 (if someone could confirm this, would be appreciated), so unless you have uber gear right now you will inevitably replace all/most of your gear a few hours after being 70?

I just reached a point where it seems I'll have to farm a lot to get upgrades that'll likely be replaced quickly, so I was wondering if it was really worth my time to farm right now?

    Thanks.

Give me at least 2008 graphics and I'd trade D3 for D2 anytime. I'd even pay 60$ for it, nothing changed to gameplay (except maybe potions spamming removed) just updated graphics (and not even today's graphics).

Personally, I am suprised no one came up with some kind of patch that would basicly just upscale the whole game via a post processing shader. Just enough so it can smooth pixels out to be a bit easier on the eyes. À-la- SNES emulators upscale filters.

I doubt it would do the trick to make it acceptable to play again. But on a side note there are already custom patches that enables higher resolution, but it doesnt scale with the action bar so it looks weird.

Anyways, beside some limited gameplay features, D2 was so amazing in terms of art style (for its time indeed) and the environments were always fun to play over and over (and more randomized than D3 linear acts/lacks of dungeons). I'm so underwhelmed by D3 in those aspects... too bad Blizz North didn't live to make D3.

    Truly amazing.

Dungeons are the biggest thing Blizzard forgot to include in my eyes. So f*cking easy to make and was one of the things that made D2 much more fun than D3 to run all the acts all over again.

Also, as Overneathe said, this paradigm of releasing a game on one platform, then a different platform at a later date has been something prevelant in the industry for a while. Why's it only worthy of ranting THIS time?

I think its because we expected a lot more from D3 than what we've got, so everytime there's a chance of ranting about the game someone does.

I mean, I was already seeing myself playing the game for a full year before it got out.. I merely played 4 months in a row before being bored and felt let down by blizz. I started to play again, and I know the game is pretty good, but personally I wanted it to be excellent, not just pretty good.

I thought I made it clear with the excerpt on the front page that the drop rate is decreased (less items drop) in favor of power (they're better). The two legendaries were a very nice incident, but I'm sure orange items won't be dropping like whites on the console version. The point is to not make player loot single pieces of items and instead press X, loot all and move along, while not looting 4-5 items per pick up. Instead just 1-2.

Well I know its hard to compare but, if you compare the game right now on PC versus the inhability to manage tons of rares dropping on consoles, then fewer but better would mean more legendaries imo.

But, it might just be that they are playing on the upcoming "fixed" drop tables. And "fewer but better" might as well simply means higher drop rates for orange.
