I Wish people would understand the differences and terminology between FIX and NERF. ...sigh.

I don't care for achievements what so ever, their basically nerd points so there is zero appeal for a ladder that's sole purpose is to provide you with a rare banner or portrait.
And since they've bitch slapped trading into oblivion by making everything pretty much BoA, ladder is still just another 'meh'. for me. I don't think they are secretly adding another class, after all the Witch Doctor is pretty much the necro of the game as it stands. If anything you would see another hybrid type class like an Amazon get introduced next I'd imagine, not a caster type class. -

Aug 21, 2013Vagrancy posted a message on [UPDATED] Watch D3's Expansion 'Reaper of Souls' teaser and opening cinematic!I think overall the changes are nice, the level cap was kind of expected. With loot 2.0 you'd be changing your gear anyway. I highly doubt the difference between level 60 gear to 60-65 will be that drastic as the case with WoW where you would be upgrading your gear for the most part every other level.Posted in: News
The paragon changes are interesting and it seems they've caved in with stat allocation somewhat.
I'd like to see them post some information regarding PVP. Don't get me wrong this game was never a PVP centric game, but after awhile you'll want to be able to flex that epeen somehow in the game or burn time..and world PVP does that.
Storyboard mode. I swear to god they better remove this after you've cleared everything the first time over. The quest based games ruin public games and its utterly pointless.
Overall, I'm still not sure if I'll be buying the expansion, as my distaste for d3 has grown since release and I really don't know if I want to give them anymore of my money right now. I'm almost tempted to log back on and level my barb to p100 (currently at 73..) but I really don't know if I can take the pain.
i WANT D3 to be good, and this expansion gives me hope...but not quite there just yet. Hopefully as more information is released my faith will be restored. -

I also don't care about PvP one bit. And so do other members in this forums. Flame the blog all you want, as that would be justified. You didn't get something you really wanted on time so you're free to express your mind. But don't flame other members or pull arguments out of your ass, because your opinion is not "all people's opinion".
edit: See how this guy below did it? Amazing.
Quote from Seifa
I don't care about PvP, but this blog was quite bad. After 7 months of hyping some form of PvP, they just gave up and went back to the basic formula... duels.
It feels like they want to give a cookie to the PvP crowd so they won't yell about its lacking anymore.... I would be disappointed too if i wanted what they promised months ago....
Meh.... it's a low blow in my opinion, really low.
Yeah that was pulling an argument out of my ass? Here I'll edit my original post for every person who doesn't give a rats ass about PVP to waste my time to make sure you guys don't get butt-hurt if you don't care about PVP. Of course not everybody cares, and I stated it as a generalization and it should have been taken as such from the start.
PvP was a big part of the game in D2 and it should have equal footing in D3 otherwise why even bother min maxing your character at all (yes you can save yourself 3 minutes clearing act 3..wooo!)
If they blew 7 months on a PVP idea that their sample test group thought was bad, what else do you really think their going to be cranking out for PvE? I hope you realize that PvP was supposed to be the last big plunge before the expansion, so if you think their going to release a huge new PvE content package or anything worth while before the expansion that their already working on to milk more money out of everybody..I'm sorry but you're wrong. They've proven they state ideas for the release then cram them into expansions to get the all mighty dollar. -

some people are never happy,
Really I have never seen a more entitled, selfish lot than some of the people posting on this.
Yes PVP has been delayed. but would you rather have it been released in a form that would give you a couple of hours enjoyment at most, with no objectives, or rewards for playing it.
or would you rather have something that has some substance behind it, some objectives, and actually gave rewards ?
as for those people who "quit the game forever" simply because the designers are taking their time and trying to do something correctly instead of some half arsed attempt which would not only cause more problems with the game, but would inflame the player base even further.
Personally I would rather wait a few more months and have something that looks and plays well rather than having something rushed out and looking like a turd, only to have it tweaked and polished over time. After all no matter how much you polish a turd, its still a turd.
Really? Well geuss what you waited a few months ...them hyping the pvp 'blog' only for it a be a 'oh shit we're sorry we wasted all this time' post. How about they just release it and let the rest of the public decide. Last time I checked. d2 pvp had no reward, and it had no problems being fun, people adapted at least in the private communities to make ZVZ duels, restricted duels, twink duels, etc.
PVP doesn't need a reward to thrive, they need to get the bullshit I want a title/gear/mount/pet/whatever the hell WoW gives me mentality. -

rofl what a blog post...the fact it took them this long to basically write an excuse and not a blog is a joke. They basically just spit in the faces of all the people who paid for the game.
"Well our idea we've been working on all this time didn't do very well , so we're scrapping it and just enabling 1v1 duels..thanks guys!"
Uh, excuse me, you're wrong.
I never intended to PVP in Diablo 3.
For all I care, they can scrap the entire idea and it wouldn't phase me in the least.
whoa excuse me bro!,
let me change that then to everybody but you.

People do report it to the proper channels, but do you really think when you report it to blizzard via phone/email or even on the forums, that support guy is running down the hallway, tripping over shit and bumping into people to tell the higher up ''HOLY SHIT WE GOTTA FIX THIS RIGHT MEOW?!'' ...yeah no it's not happening.
These videos help and they hurt, but in the end blizzard finds out either way. It's not like they don't check the forums and monitor shit like that..it just takes time.
In terms of it affecting us all, in this instance..and like a lot of the other ''afk farming videos'' no it really doesn't affect anyone expect the people who used the exploit. If these videos never were made and nobody shared their exploits, the world would keep on turning. You're blowing up way out of proportion.
edit: The only thing I'll agree with is the manner in which they often try to quickly patch things or hotfix them, its often sometimes really lazy or really fucking retarded..but that's blizzard. In this instance at this point the game is fairly polished enough that such an expolit as this any fix really isn't going to be that bad. I'm sure they'll either adjust the range on the summoners as the quick fix that way you can't just farm in the doorway without getting attacked.

While the affixes on those gems might not all work or really be that great for diablo 3...of course they'd be changed to fit diablo 3. What about having a rainbow facet that added 5-10%element dmg, crit chance, crit dmg, life oh hit, etc etc etc and having a chance to do a combo of any of those just like an item.
At the end of the day there is always room for improvement in terms of itemization and game mechanics..blizzard just has to take the right approach to it. When you consider that after awhile ,rares, blues, whites all just end up as crafting mats..why not find a more suitable use for them?
I'd love to see rune socketables come back into play to add other time of item affixes or on-proc affects that would be either a side grade to crit dmg or something even better. At the end of the day, you'll always have an item that is clearly better than another..so its really unavoidable to make everything be the same..because really whats the point then.
Hell I'd love to be able to combine rare items with gems/runes/whatever to have them transmute (or have a chance to transmute) into a legendary item with random affixes and/or set ones.
I'd love to see charms make it back into the game, because at the end of the day outside of picking up items forever and salvaging them..the inventory space could be used for a bit more creative options. Yeah they didn't want charms to feel mandatory...but so what paragon is mandatory but everyone wants to min-max.

Move along people...move along.

With that said, I think blizzard needs to revisit costs and perhaps even cap crafting rolls for rares and legendaries respectively. Perhaps cap rare rerolls to 250k and legendaries to 500k. In addition to gold changes, I think they could be a bit more forgiving on the mats needed for certain items i.e jewelry, perhaps change it to just cost an imperial gem, and not a flawless one.
I think they could also boost the gold rewards from bounties/rift turn in's as well to at least be something like normal 10k, hard, 25k, expert, 50k, master 75k, t1 100k, t2, 150k, etc etc.
I couldn't imagine starting the game from scratch and not having any gold..I'd probably get really pissed off and quit lol.

This it what makes me laugh..if you're ''falling asleep'' or bored of the game..roll another class..or play hardcore. Hardcore completely changes the way you play, and how you gear up your character and the builds you run with (to an extent)

While I for one am not a fan boy of Diablo 3, I'm probably one of the more vocal people against a lot of the stupid shit and short cuts they've taken with the game, but I for one get sick and tired of people complaining about items. While the loot system certainly has its flaws and now that trading is gone, you've still got a lot of different avenues to support your efforts of getting gear. Short of them bringing back an auction house format for trading, its pretty much dead in this game regardless and I don't see blizzard changing their tune on trading outside of maybe upping the time frame for trading and MAYBE allowing you to trade with people on your friends list AT BEST.
Diablo 2 just as Diablo 3 is should be subjective based on what your overall goal is with playing the game, if you're someone who has to min-max your character and is not happy nor having fun unless you're consistently getting upgrades to further your character..perhaps diablo 3 isn't for you. The primary difference between diablo 2's itemization and diablo 3's is...the primary stat. Diablo 2's items were generic and pretty much could be used universally between each class (save class specific items). Diablo 3 changed the game by introducing primary stats...whether good or bad..it was a choice that was made to change the game up. As much as people say they have D2, and I myself who enjoyed it since day 1 up until the last time I played need to realize...there was a lot of awful flaws and limitations in the game as well.
It still blows my mind that considering there is no PVP and this game will NEVER be an e-sport, how bent out of shape people get over other players gear and successes within the game. Their experience and gear should NEVER, EVER impact your enjoyment or experience in the game, and if it does, you're clearly doing it wrong.
I've set my expectations of what I intend to get out of the game while I play (probably 2-3 hours a day perhaps) and I don't care if I can't farm t6 but I'm enjoying the game for where I am, and yeah its frustrating getting the same gear sometimes or items that aren't upgrades, but its certainly exciting when you finally do get one..and it makes it all the more enjoyable.
I'd much rather have the current system that's in place rather than a WoW style loot grab where epics fall from the sky..it really makes the game dry and bland and you'll lose interest much more quickly than you would with the current system.
Either way...to each his own...

I find it laughable that people spend 10-12 hours a day, (not saying you are specifically) but then say this game is boring, I'm bored, wheres the end game, etc etc when you've clearly just exhausted your interesting in the game because you've hit a wall. Once you hit that area of gear where you're struggling to get upgrades in terms of your gear being pretty much ''that good'' that it becomes much more rare to get an improved item....it's going to happen.
I think blizzard has tons of room to improve on the game, and I think they've got the framework in place to make that happen. I've spread so many good ideas across so many posts I can't even keep track of them anymore.

I'm not sure if you've realized but as you gear up the the game, the time it takes to get an actual upgrade goes up, and up, and up, and up, and up. The more gear you get, the harder it is going to become to replace said gear. It shouldn't take hours, it should take days, weeks, and yeah even months to min-max your character to the point where you don't need anything besides paragon levels.
What the hell do you expect is going to happen in the game? They keep releasing new stronger items every month? No..sorry that's now how the game works.

Also, why does someone elses experience in the game somehow ruin yours? What the flying fuck does it matter if someones doing t6 and you're stuck doing t1? Does their experience ruin yours in some way somehow?
All I get from your posts is jealousy, and the fact that you don't get what you want, you feel there is a problem with the system. Hey that sounds just like life in the United States, people bitch and moan that their entitled to something, yet do nothing for themselves.
Do us all a favor, get off diablofans and go on the battle.net ones.
