i played Path of Exile Beta (yes hate me for that - i dont care) and there they have excatly the same control.
2 mouse skills and X with keyboard.

nobody should hate you for playing PoE. that game was a good diversion while waiting for d3. it's a good game in its own right. not as good as d3 (in my opinion) but still good.

of course i find the graphics in that game appalling and the overall polish of the combat (while good) doesn't hold a candle to d3. d3 is on another level entirely.

i find it sad that the majority of poe players are just embittered d2 vets who can't see the forest past the trees with d3. they played the beta and judged the entire game off of it. they're blinded by their hatred for blizzard (which is, in my opinion, entirely unfounded).

The more you play, the more proficient you will be with it.

I had similar qualms when I started playing HoN/DotA. I was never any good at navigating the map with my mouse let alone microing my units when I played Starcraft back in the day. Now I'm a seasoned pro at HoN/DotA. You'd be surprised how quickly you learn.

There's a skill in these games called "Orbing" where you move, then attack, then move, then attack. Already having the skill from DotA/HoN will be very useful for me in D3, but to be honest it wasn't the hardest thing to learn. Practice makes perfect broski.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN 26 ?! Servers open in less than 17 hours from now!

Personally, going to shop for a week's worth of food and then going to bed, waking up to the server launch!

    I'm not EU, lucky bastard.

I can't remember a span of time that has passed more slowly than the last week. I mean, this last week has lasted longer than when I went cold-turkey off a drug addiction. And that was fucking terrible.

What will you all be doing to pass the last day until D3?

    Now - 7:00am (sleep)
    7:00am - 8:00am (get ready for work)
8:00am - 5:00pm (work, fuck. this will be the longest work day ever)
5:00pm - 11:59pm (spend time with my girlfriend)
    12:00am - 1:00am (drive home from gf's apartment)
    1:00am - 1:30am (power nap)
1:30am - 2:00am (set up LAN with 2 friends who are coming over for release)

2:01am (spam the servers with login attempts until we're all in, then slay demons)

They told you something as an official source, it turned out to be false and inaccurate. At the end of the day they still lied, regardless of why they did (misinformation). Does not the change the fact that it was, it was corrected however, but regardless the act still stands in the history of CM's as a lie.

It's their job to get the shit straight, they failed to do it. Oh well? Throwing out a ban over an apple being called an apple is just idiotic. This is why I dont participate on blizz forums, it's full of trolls and bad blues. I get my info from this site and reddit :) It's near impossible to have a real discussion on blizz forums.

You're not missing out on anything from the blizzard forums, I promise you that.

    lie

    Noun:
    1.
a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.

trying to sound smart without knowing the definition of a word is the only idiotic thing i noticed.

    ^this.

    Definition of FALSEHOOD

    1
: an untrue statement : lie

    2

: absence of truth or accuracy

    3

: the practice of lying : mendacity

Anyone with half a brain knows that a lie connotates some sort of malicious intent. I would not consider an inaccurate statement to automatically be a lie.

OP, get over it. It's not a big deal at all. They should ban more people from the forum. I can pretty much assume that you deserved the ban given the fact that you came to another forum to tell a bunch of people who don't give a shit about you that you were banned from Blizzard's forum.

another thought: this could be good for PvP :P it would surprise your opponent if nothing else when you drop below 20% and just start fucking his shit up

this build is, if nothing else, interesting.

    1. i don't think it could work in inferno. 20% hp would be sooo dangerous
    2. i don't know if it is possible to maintain sub-20% hp. you accidentally pick up a globe and you're fucked.

but i like your creativity. this build i think would be really, really fun. the chaining axe throw just seems like it'll be really tight. maybe trade marathon for bash to get shit away from you and build fury.

so, this build only works if you have 20% or less health? I don't get it.. what do you do when you're at full health?

posted a message on Would you consider quitting D3,
So.. who knows how long I will be playing D3. I hope for a long time to come. It has to hold my attention until.... LINEAGE FUCKING ETERNAL. It's like Diablo 3... the MMO. Looks so awesome!

To those of you who say you are going to be playing GW2... Idk how you can play that game. I played the beta and it was just so terrible. It's probably because I never played GW1 but I just felt completely lost and I was bored by the PvP. I'd rather play DotA2/HoN than that game.

As far as Titan is concerned, I think it's going to be completely innovative. Something we've never seen before. I'm pretty sure we can count out a tab-targetting hotbar theme park MMORPG. I'm thinking more towards a sandbox/social media focused game kind of like what Frogster is going for with their Otherland MMO. Either that or like Firefall/Planetside sandbox hybrid.

posted a message on "One of the Chosen" Feat of Strength
    Quote from Othniel

The FoS is entitled "One of the Chosen" (correct me if I'm wrong). CHOSEN was the keyword.

Ok yeah, it is unfair to those that think and know they could have contributed to the beta better and more even than those that got some of the keys and for some reason didn't use them (lazy, missed, etc.). And you are completely in your right to react negatively to this and actually complain about it.

But take it from this point of view: I don't think we should take it as a reward even if they (Blizzard) say it is. For me it's more of a token of appreciation to those closed beta players that actually helped by filing the tickets to report bugs, rate the game play and give back important feedback and test the general feel of the game. And to actually scan the server database (that I know would be so full of data from the closed beta and open beta weekend) for people that actually logged in and contributed would be a pain in the ass and take too much time. Come on guys, we're on the final stretch (less than a week to go woot!) and they're now gearing up for the actual time we would flood the server gates. They want to appreciate what the close beta players did (most likely this is unplanned and actually out of the time frame they have) and to go the extra mile to give out their appreciation is good.

Okay admittedly they would actually be giving some people something they didn't deserve, but are we going to deprive those that deserved it just for them?

To those that think that such a reward or token isn't just or right or fair, I got friends that got into the closed beta (I didn't) and I know how hard they worked during the beta. Literally filing ticket after ticket, not just playing the game but thoroughly testing for possible bugs and weaknesses. I think they did a good job, actually an excellent one. I don't think what you are asking (not giving it out) is just or right or fair.

I don't understand the idea that they are entitled to anything other than early access to a game we are all dying to play for their efforts. I know I would've done just as much if I had gotten into beta as far as bug reporting and suggestions go.

Unfortunately I wasn't given the chance and now I will be reminded every time I look at my achievements (which is damn often).

Yes, I am complaining. No, I don't think it's that big of a deal. No, this will not ruin the game for me. I will enjoy it every bit as much. I'm just a little sad that I won't be able to have all the achievements. That's what I wanted from this game. Now that part is over before the game is even released. :/
