Well of course, 2.0.1 is just a fraction of what we are about to recive, but it's very needed at this time, even for a few months, or else I would just put it all on the shelf until the actual release. Now I've had a blast at the PTR with a bunch of friends, and we are all enjoying it, so the game might hold until RoS for my part!Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I think the PTR is amazing and very much needed for the future of the game. Same goes for RoS.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Well, yeah.. It should indeed be "How awesome is it" But that wont happen as long as the stats themselves are totally random. but still, the Windforce might aswell roll with 200 Int, then it's not so awesome anymore, might be awesome in other ways, making your abilites more fun or anything like that. But 200 int instead of 200 nice dex is alot of different when it comes to damage for example.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Without the static stats, I'm not going to get that "How awesome is it" feeling, I highly doubt that, can't say for sure, as we aint there yet. Unelss they confirm that they wont roll in weird ways.
I dont mind getting minimal stats at all, as long it's the right type of stats, but thats the problem..
As long as the stats are static, that I know that I will recive DEX on my bow, I'm super happy, and knowing the item WILL be awesome. But as long the chance of getting INT is there, not going to happen.
You can think this way already "How awesome is it" The problem is, you know it's not, as it's gonna roll with worst possible stats ever. When a legendary drops, it should indeed be awesome, always.
I mean.. It is pure logic the bows should have DEX only, as DH is the only class using them :3 And as long this random itemization is there, I'm having a hard time belive that it will be "that awesome" Probably alot better than now, but still.. it should be more than awesome!
"The item system of Diablo 2 was of such magnificent design that it drove players to spend out of pocket to get items in the game.
Blizzard has seen that and turned into an in house revenue stream fo them in Diablo 3.
Where they've gone wrong is not delivering an item deisng of the caliber of Diablo2, that will fuel the same passion that drove players to spend the real money they did on that game"

The quicker the better I'd say, An expansion should not be needed to fix this kind of issue, it should not of appeared in the first place. They had alot of good basics they could of easly followed, but somewhere along the line, it all went wrong! Hopefully we'll see it sooner rather than later.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I'm not implying that certain items should drop from certain monsters, that is fine as it is, just the quality of the items itself that drops. Everyone is farming act 3 anyway, same routes over and over again. But instead of finding a legendary that is totally worthless, perhaps you could find one that you can actually use at least on one of your characters.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I'm fine in the way the loot drops, we just need to lower the droprate of legendaries, and make them more "predictable" As I said in an earlier post “When a Legendary drops, the question that goes through a player’s mind should never be “is this a good item?” It should be “how awesome is it?” - Thats no the question at all, it should not even be a question. It should be "It's awesome!"
It should be very challeging and time consuming to find the legendaries. I mean, I found 3 hellracks within 1 hour, all 3 where piece of junk, not even the most insane person in the world would equip his DH with those ones.
The Hellfire ring should really be a strong strong items, but they need to make the ubers way harder and trickier. Now it's plain time consuming for a ring that most certain will be horrible.

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from ZorgmeisterQuote from LortexI can see your point. But in my opinion this is not enough, I highly doubt I will get that "holy crap" feeling ever. As long as the RNG stat system is in place. Because, I know.. I find some legendary, and the stats will be worst known to mankind. Sure they can add cool skill and similar stuff. But that's not all that is needed.
Fine, it allows me to have 2 hydras at the same time for example, but what good is that when it gives 200 str, 2000 extra health from globes, imparing effect recudes with 10% alongside with 15% gold from monsters, as a wizard. Woho!
I say the direction of the game is going the right way, but still a far way to go. It feels like they are trying to clean up the mess and havoc that Jay Wilson created.
i can;t say you are wrong on all the above, but i can't say you are 100% right either
truth be told when the patch will come, we'll all see the item drops and the mob density as they stand, untill then you have to admit, you are at least curious
and the havoc and bad things in diablo, you can't put them all on wilson, sure it was quite a dissapointment and many things where wrong in all direction, but overall, this is one game that is actually opened to the players and actually listens and tries to improve based on it's comunity you have to give them this much of a credit
Well, of course I will be curious, but I don't think I'll be happy with the result, most lilkey not.
Nah, I know we cant blame it all on him/them. But they had Diablo 2 as a base, a game, that beat selling records all over, a game that in fact still today is being played by alot of people. I belive they went to far away from a concept that was really really good.
I do hope they will find their way back of course.
