Blizzard sure is slow to develop things eh? No real new content to speak of but changes to a system. How come other companies dish out updates in a better fashion than the biggest one of them all? I'd bet their code is so difficult to deal with that making any changes takes more work then it is suppose to. They should know by now that re-configuring systems is almost a must because of the changing nature of gamers and how off base blizzard nowadays.
Lots of companies can dish out more updates but it doesnt always means its more polished or better. Theres a new Call of Duty every 6 months, which generally reuse almost everything. Diablo 3 may not have been the greatest at launch, but in general, Blizzard is known (and got big to begin with) because they may be slow, but they bring really polished stuff to the table.
Yeah I dont understand the logic behind MP1+ games being solo only, given that Blizz has recently provided incentives to join public games.
You can do MP1+ with friends. You cant do MP10 with total strangers because they fear that low-geared scrubs will just pick MP10 all the time in hope of joining a game where someone can carry their sorry ass at the cost of making everything takes 2 hours to kill.
From what I can see; The Caucasian girl logs in to find her female WD naked and her account stripped. After a brief volley of curse words, her character appears in front of her to scold her about improper account security. After that, I have no idea.
Actually, a re-release of the game would make Diablo 2 fall flat on it's face i think.
LOTS of people are keeping Diablo 2 in their mind from nostalgia, and if internet tells you one thing is that nostalgia's a bitch.
Tons of people would start back to actually play the game and see its flaws, instead of "remembering how it used to be"
n exemple of D2 is in act 3, when you need to go too Kurast, the way can be in the first map, OR in the great marsh another zone entirely, so you have to explore the first map wich is huge and if you,re not lucky then go into the great marsh to find the next place, the randmoness of D2 was amazing,
That Amazingness of Kurast is also what made Act 3 the most despised act of the game too. I hated Act 3 with a passion. It got better as we approached Kurast Bazaar, because you were out of that god forsaken forest and NEVER returning there. Ever. But starting that point, Kurast bazaar, Upper Kurast and Travincal are right next to each other, with very predictable exits, Travincal is always the same too.
Things you could do in Diablo 2 (Post 1.10 patch) :
-Endless Andy Nm runs for SoJ's
- Endless Meph hell runs to get regular uniques.
-Endless Pindle Runs to get the best uniques.
-Baal runs for xp/ball kill for best uniques
These are all basically the same thing. Running a boss over and over for loot. You can do that with D3 too, funnily enough. Except You need NV stacks to get the boss to drop loot that is worth anything. We need to embed more posts into this one quote, it's going to be legendary. Also, i dont see how the need to kill some trash before the boss is actually an issue...
-Cow Runs for runes and moo's - Whimyshire is the same thing. Uhhhh its not the same at all??? There are no runes or cows?No offense, but that has to be the dumbest counter-argument ever.
-Act 1 Pit
-Act 1 Countess for runes
-Act 2 Sewers
-Act 3 Lower Kurast chest runs
-Act 3 Kurast council for runes/loot
-Unique clearing in act V
Again, you're just listing stuff that you can do in D3. You've got 4 acts to clear for loot in D3 as well. Those runs were specificaly done for the runes and chests. What's with your obsession with runes? It's just an item like gems that drops and you dont see us do runs and say "Those runs were specifically done to get flawless square gems and tomes of secrets"
-Nihlathak runes
-Uber runs
-Search for Diablo clone
I've read about the ubers and admittedly, D3 does not have this. But neither did D2 at launch, so. You obviously didn't play d2 if you had to "read" about it.You obviously didn't play D3 if you had to "complain" about it...wait, that doesn't make any sense. Then again, yours didn't either so we're even.
-Break every single chest in a tc 87+ area. - You can do this in D3... But you will get NOTHING for breaking that stuff in D3I don't remember getting anything from chests in D2 either, They were mostly crap or had 150 gold, which back then was even more worthless than now.
-PvP in any part of the world in a 8 player game - PvP is coming in patch 1.1. Should have been there @launchIt should but it got delayed boohoo sad story. At least they warned you 3 months before releasing the game about it...
-Play with ridiculous and fun builds (Infinity sorc come to mind) - You can do this in D3, provided you don't go into Inferno (as D2 only went up to Hell as well: if D2 had Inferno, trust me, you wouldn't have all these 'wacky builds' floating around) In D2 Hell was Inferno. But once you were lvl 70-80 you were advanced enough with your character to pown stuff. @ lvl 60 in D2 you couldn't do a wacky build. Also blizzard were the ones saying they wanted 28,000 viable builds in their game. If it's not viable in inferno its not viable......That's what he's saying, in D3, Hell is hard, but when you get to 60 you are advanced enough to pown stuff. If D2 had a Level 99 Only difficulty, things might not have been viable for long, which wouldve sucked considering you wouldve needed to re-level to 99 before you could try again.
-Collect low level sets for alts (Sigon <3) - there are low level sets in D3 too, go ahead and collect those... I agree here, I see no problem with this but you gata have an alt, and my main hasn't even beat'n the game yet so no alt yet, aka not colecting alt junk.Low Level Sets Patterns for the blacksmith drops from Inferno only.
-Have fun having tons and tons of uniques (They where mostly useless if you where looking for the perfect one...but....hell..they dropped like hot candy). - there are tons of uniques in D3 too, and you don't even seem concerned with their quality, so you can go ahead and collect them in D3 as well GO ahead and collect them off the AH for 10x what they are worth??
-Gamble for uniques/uber yellows - blacksmithing is the same system NO..... No it is not, not even close...... You should go play D2 and so you can apear to know what you are talking about. You're right its not even close. Gambling SUCKED compared to crafting, It's like you're a glutton for punishment or something.
-Gamble with horadric cube for charms
-CHARMS...CHARMS...OMG WHERE ARE THE CHARMS !
-Finding white socketed items for runewords (And finding the perfect ones)
-Socket and name your items
Not in D3, but this doesn't sound all that important to me, so whatever. So if something isn't important to you it doesn't matter?? How bout them polar ice capps??? Charms, horadric cube, and runeswords were awsome!!!!Weren't awesome enough to be in the new installment.
-Do meaningful, rewarding quest ( Ania's resistance quest come to mind...) - there's a bunch of sidequests in D3, and the story is better in D3, in that it actually exists. The story in D3 could be transplanted over the top of D2 and you wouldn't know the diffrence. 3 of the 4 acts in D3 came from D2. Instead of having you go to Hell for the last act(D2) in D3 you go to heaven.
-If you wanted too....clear the whole game within the same game - which you can do in D3... You dont know what the OP means, and neither do I...
-Low level uniques where used, you could farm for them in Nightmare... - again, can do this in D3. I used a unique/legendary on my low level Demon Hunter for about 10 levels.
Wow you found one of those? Or you bought it off the AH???I found at least 3 low-level legendaries while leveling alts, and they used them for a few levels. I never bought things off the AH unless its 60.
If you're going to bash D3, at least don't appear so hopelessly one-sided and biased.
If your going to try and bash on what a person think's or say's, at least KNOW what they are TALKING about...... /FAIL You're* /FAIL.
Things you could do in Diablo 2 (Post 1.10 patch) :
Patch 1.10 was released in October 2003. Diablo 2 came out in June 2000. Already, you're saying things you could do in Diablo 2 AFTER 3 YEARS is more than you can do in Diablo 3 after a month? Great start.
You did say post Patch 1.10 right? Because Patch 1.10 contains this:
Reduced drops from the most-run Super Unique monsters, Thresh Socket and Pindleskin.
If people back then were farming Pindleskin AFTER a loot nerf, that means people are still farming chests and clouds in 1.03, right?
-Play with ridiculous and fun builds (Infinity sorc come to mind)
Definition of "ridiculous and fun builds" is kinda different for everyone, but with the amount of choices you have in the game, it's pretty big for someone to try to do their own thing. in fact, here's a fun challenge, you go in the talent calculator, pick your spec, click the chat gem, get a random spec and go in Act 1.
-Gamble with horadric cube for charms
-CHARMS...CHARMS...OMG WHERE ARE THE CHARMS !
Protip: Charms were added in the expansion. They obviously had a reason for not adding them in D3, probably because they thought people would be compelled to carry 30+ charms on them. And considering everyone is carrying a MF set purely to open a chest, i tend to agree with them on this.
-Do meaningful, rewarding quest ( Ania's resistance quest come to mind...)
By meaningful quests, do you mean like Charsi's Imbue? When i learn how it worked, i hated myself for wasting it when i was new, and then i never used it ever again "waiting for the perfect item to imbue", or do you mean the personalization of an item? That i also never used ebcause i was keeping it for "That Perfect Runeword" which...never happened.
-If you wanted too....clear the whole game within the same game
What's preventing you from doing that now? Are you complaining about your 5 stacks of nephalem? Because when talk to the guy to get you to the next act, you dont leave your game, and manually pick the next act... You're in the same game...
15 is way way wayyy too cheap for that item. I checked the AH and there's no item higher than 1100 that arent 30+.
The closest i could get to the sword in OP was by raising by the maximum buyout to $100. And that weapon didnt have a socket!
Disregard the fact that you want to be "reasonable". If there's no items that matches up yours for less than 100, it's probably going to sell at 100.
Or you could NOT be overdramatic like most people out there and think that Blizzard "nerfing Inferno A2/3/4" will reduce the damage to be challengeing and fun instead of thinking it means "That mob that did 100k damage will now do 5k!" That's stupid.
Seriously, they said they're going to lower it to smooth out the difficulty curve, right now there's two groups of people:
Full Tank Melee doing 5k dps but reducing all damage by 95% just so they dont die instantly.
Glass Cannon Ranged that instead of having a mix of offensive and defensive stats, they go like "Well, if im going to be one-shotted no matter what i do, i might as well go all out dps and GRAVEYARD ZERG THE DUMBASS"
Want to play any other way? Like being a ranged that can kill stuff and take a hit or two like the rest of the game? You cant. Want to be a dps barb/monk? lol you cant.
They're going to reduce the frustation that comes with Inferno, not turn it into the new normal mode.
Forum QQers are so overdramatic whenever Blizzard announce something.
PS: Diablo 2 wasn't hard. Ever. And people sitll played it THANKS TO YEARS OF PATCHES. This is Diabo 3's first patch. Of many.

Eyeballs would ruin the whole damn thing.
2
Win95: Huge improvement over 3.1, but filled with bugs
Win98: It's a smoother, faster, bugfree Win95.
WinME: Horrible
WinXP: Removed bloat/fat, smoother, faster version.
WinVista: Beyond Horrible
Win7: Removed Bloat/fat, smoother, faster version.
If history serves...yeah i'm staying with my 7 Ultimate until Win9.

It's not blizzard that dictated you cant farm Nightmare Butcher or Hell Azmodan. It's the players that pretty much says Inferno or GTFO.

This is the only point i could give you, i kinda wish there was a Cow King equivalent in Whimsyshire
How is that different that stating that you can do Act 1 runs, Act 2 runs, Act 3 runs and Act 4 runs in D3?
Again, this didn't exist anymore NEAR the launch of the game.
PvP is coming and going hostile was the worst mechanic possible, just sayin'

You can actually find patterns for craftable low level sets. Only found in Inferno. Farm and collect!
