My wizard has 26.5K hp 1.8K armour 13K dmg 170 resist all and i can't step out of town without getting two shotted what am i doing wrong? do i need more armour maybe? how do i survive inferno?
You're surviving the first hit. Can't ask for much more in inferno. Seriously. That's the game. It's avoidance and kiting and trying to beat elite enrage timers. All at the same time.

The most frustrating thing about inferno is the hitbox problem. It's so obvious how poorly done they are when you get there. You'll see arrows whiz 10 feet over your head and you'll still take damage. It makes no sense at all. You can't nuance a dodge. No subtely in dodging an arrow or a spear. It has to miss by a mile.

    I really don't get Blizzard.

"We want you to change your builds on the fly to defeat the more difficult affix packs!"

    GOOD BYE NEPHALEM VALOR!

What the fuck is the point in giving us a system to increase magic find and then purposefully make you unable to use it properly?
Some builds work better for different areas of the game. Different boss runs, etc. Like if I'm running from Siegebreaker to Azmodan, I'd probably dump my "extra wide" zombie wall because most the corridors are narrow. And use a less wide AOE rune cuz it isn't necessary. Things like that. Or, maybe use Soul Harvest, if the upcoming boss has adds that will make it useful.

I am trying to find a build that works well 100% of the time and I think I have a good one right now; but if things need to change they need to change.

what extra drops on bosses? where can i find this info

Yellows essentially. More blues, too. If you have 5 stacks, it's a loot explosion. I had 5 stacks tonight and the warden (act 1 before butcher) dropped 4 (crappy) yellows. Too bad the butcher ate my ass for 30 minutes after that and I couldn't cash in on him. :/

Not only do bosses react to the 5 stacks, but everything you fight/kill/open does. Once you have 5 stacks, it -really- pays to open everything, smash everything and get as much value from it. You'll get more yellows from elites and regular mobs too. It's like rigging the slot machine.

Very rarely is there 30 minutes between elites, so it's difficult to lose it, unless you are really really slow. Or screwing around with a new impossible elite set.

I found it in hell when I was getting NV buffs for the cow level. I found it kind of frustrating cuz I was watching my NV timer dwindle down but I wanted the achievement. :o

Yeah those snake dudes who channel constantly are free loot. -Still- not sure what the point of their electrical field is.

It's 8 digits (in the US at least) and it'll prompt you for it when you log in from an unknown IP address. Further, you can opt-in to have Bnet ask you for your authenticator every single time you log in.

    Mine is 6? US.

Pretty sad that they are doing a patch like this in the middle of the day.

It's always middle of the day somewhere!

Nigel Cutthroat has recently fallen on hard times and will now drop lower quality items when slain.
He's the first of many this will be happening to, I'm sure. The easy access story elites are loot pinatas.

I would think that someone like Athene would be smarter given that he streams constantly. Where the hell is his authenticator?
If he has one, D3 doesn't ask you for it every time you log in. The website does. But the authenticator isn't like 100% secure either, its only 6 digits. It can be defeated.

The bosses are easy; the elite packs are not. If you can do Diablo on normal, you can do it on inferno.

Is that really more efficient than killing things straight out? On normal? Not likely.

If that's real, he didn't get hacked. He put his password out there for the world to see and someone took advantage.

They are only reducing the costs of the items level 1-59. Level 60 crafting is staying the same. So, he'll still be useless for most of the game. I've yet to see a pattern drop in any difficulty. Does he have to be level 10 before they start dropping?

Inferno skeleton king is exactly like every other difficulty. Stay out of his whirlwind and you can't possibly die. Just make sure to get 5 stacks of NV before facing him or it's a total waste of time.

posted a message on Hell is really challenging without auction house.
Did you use auction house while playing in HELL mode or even on previous difficulty?
Did you get your items from glitch?
Did you kill all (or at least most) of the yellow/blue named monsters or did you skipped them?

I bought a good weapon for Hell. Then I found an upgrade an hour later. Doh. I ran most of Hell with level 30-40 armor I already had cuz I wanted magic find. Hell wasn't very difficult. Act 4 was a little messy in the spire; but manageable.

I kill every blue/yellow possible, unless the afix combo is too frustrating (invulnerable minions pretty much).

I'm starting inferno now (well, not really, I've already downed the SK once in inferno) and just bought a few pieces of "resist all" gear cuz I'm tired of being nuked by mortar mobs. I don't want to feel like I'm corpse dragging my way to progression.
