Noticed the shirt of Brandy had a different D3 Logo than RoS? Just sayin'...

I noticed that too but isn't it the traditional D3 logo? At one frame it can be almost fully seen. Not sure tho.

Gamescom 2018, Blizzard will be there with 3 big halls. The CEO of Gamescom did mention that there will be alot of world premieres on the Opening Ceremony of the convention. Maybe, just maybe, we will see something. So there is 2 weeks left of waiting for Gamescom, hope to see something there.

    Have a nice day

    Let the hype begin.

In this day and age, it seems facts do not matter. It's just what you want to believe in. Inuendo90, I am looking at you. The following is Blizzard's link to all the job listings for their Unannounced Project -- basically every listing states Diablo by name...

    https://careers.blizzard.com/en-us/openings/all/unannounced-project/all/all/1

This is real, folks. No, Blizzard does not come out and say, "Hey, we're working on D4." But, it's not some smalltime Druid add-on when you're talking about a Creative Director and Executive Producer being sought after.

While you are most likely correct, all this doesn't rule out they're working with a completely new direction for Diablo franchise and at the same time, D3 expansion. If they are heading into a new direction, they might want to ease the pain with D3 content and story conclusion.

New Diablo Announcement - Poll Results

Results of poll "The next Diablo announcement - what do you believe in":

    D4 (sequel or prequel) 3 386 votes 55%

    D3 Expansion 824 votes 14%

    D3 DLC (new class) 790 votes 13%

World of Diablo 770 votes 13%

Diablo - dark souls style 322 votes 5%

    Total 6 092 Votes

These are the results of Diablo's forum communities: battle.net, diablofans, reddit diablo & diablo3 so the results could be different if asked from all playerbase.

Majority, 55 % of player base believes in D4. 27 % of player base believes that D3 will get more content and 18% believes Diablo franchise will aim to new direction.

Didn't inculed Switch or mobile because while they are possible, Blizzard is unlikely to forget other platforms with new Diablo.

D2 remastered was not included as I was asking more of new Diablo announcements.

    Let's see:

    Why D4?

    - Marketing wise easier

    - Too much time from a RoS

    - No need to work on D3 problems

    Why D3 X2?

    - No need for complete rebuilding of everything and reinventing classes

    - Even a graphics engine upgrade makes the game very beautiful

    - Development time can be used for adding things and improving the current game

    What indicates D4:

    - All the job postings

    - Time passed so much from RoS

    What indicates D3 X2:

    - Exactly same hype style as in previous D3 releases: "Book of -"

    - Even after all this silence the brand new Diablo gift laptops are D3 related, not only Diablo overall as one could think so close for D4 announcement.

    - D4 announcement too early after some closely closed major job postings.

All taken in consideration, I can't rule out D3X2. Most voters probably also vote what they wish for, not what they believe in.

    Quote from Inuendo90

Any reasonable mind that have even a minimal videogame development understanding know that we will get new classes and prolly a new xp and that d4 is not even imaginable before something like 2022+ if will ever exist.

While new class is likely, I have lost my faith in a new expansion as the game is 6 years old.

Then again, a huge graphical and mechanical overhaul could be enough to sell an expansion to masses. Wow has had significant graphical engine updates with expansions. It's possible they could do the same for D3 in order to spare the huge work of doing everything from the scratch like inventing 5 new classes and 4 new acts.

Sure, players who dislike D3 hate the idea of continuing with D3. However, Blizzard knows better how masses react and those who play the game through only once.

    I agree that there's prolly no D4 before 2021.

    posted a message on Season Themes 15 - 18

    Greetings!

What kind of themes would you like? Here are a few suggestions for upcoming seasons:

    Season of Chaos

Double elites and bosses outside grifts. For increased chaos and excitement all elites spawn with another elitepack or boss.

    Season of Nemesis

On very rare occasions, extremely powerful ubers spawn outside rifts and drop guaranteed primal item. Also, primal droprate is increased outside rifts.

    Season of Ancients

Legendary and set item drop rates are reduced 80% from total value but all drops are guaranteed ancients or better. This actually improves chances of getting ancients. No junk legs, quality only.

    Season of a Farmer

Double bounty materials, double gr stones and extra gem upgrade for staying alive.

    ---

    Suggestion graphics use Blizzard's graphics.

Diablo 3 is not dead, the game is in a maintenance mode - something we know from one year and which was speculated even before that, when Josh M. left the team and the second expansion was oriented to become a DLC. Whether we'll see more character DLCs is unknown, but as Green said, I too prefer more in-game changes instead of new classes.

Money incoming is the only way to prevent D3 falling into a real maintenance mode as D2 have obviously done. Saying that, it is very important that there would be another class DLC. Ok, it means not much updates during the development but there can be a few new things coming with the pack. Though only if they focus on important things like new systems or such instead of set dungeons and challenge rifts. And this patch after the Necro DLC is one of the best balance patches we have had so I'm personally pleased.
Surely I dare not to expect anything after Nev's post but we never know.

D4? Not interested. I honestly can't see it not being simplier than D3 or D2. If it's something completely new, then bring it on, if only they keep working on Diablo 3. D3 can be made a real gem with correct decisions.

posted a message on Endgame Campaign Mode [graphics]

Now that the only challenge is in the Greater Rifts, what if we had an endgame campaign mode, where we could play the campaign from the beginning with our endgame characters? The rewards would be granted after each act, some of them once and some as many time as wanted. The Act V reward is granted according to a gr based difficulty level.

Rewards can be adjusted, of course. Now there would be a way to get stash tab in non seasonal too.

Note that unlike in gr, now you can deal with the gr70 difficulty level with your gr67 character as there is no timer. Death's breaths would drop along the way and player could change between game modes when desired. Wild idea: double the bounty materials gained if died only 1, 2 or 3 times during the campaign.

Once you've defeated Malthael in the normal campaign or in the adventure mode, the endgame campaign mode becomes available at your campaign mode slot.

    EDIT: New ACT 2 Reward:

Urshi's Gift :: Player may update one legendary gem instantly to the same level he/she is playing the campaign through.

ACT 1 reward is granted every time the campaign is played through but player can wear only one item at a time that's imbued with a Gift. The item becomes purple colored Unique Legendary when Cydaea's Gift is used to it.

    What do you think?
