Not sure why u want to skip campaign if u never played it. Its nice to know the story and from where different tilesets are coming. I'm not a big lore fan but well its a content that you will enjoy when u doing it first time. I'd just try to finish the campaign before 9 november, and then make a fresh char on next season with adventure mode unlocked. Campaign also guides you through all the important places in game (bosses etc.) so its experience that will be quite handy when you start doing adventure mode.
If you really want to rush to adventure mode, you should join some communities (there are power leveling communities there), just try to find active one and ask politely on chat. You might not get immediate response, but theres big chance that someone will help you.

You put the gem in the stash, u log on other char, you take it from the stash. You lost your gems on your own wish.
If you relog on solo game, ur current game instance is destroyed, so all the stuff you left there should be destroyed too. If you relog really fast it might work, but its just like asking for troubles in my opinion.

Not sure what's the point of it.
In vanilla d3 affixes weren't separated, but it just was less clear that it is now.
In vanilla d3 legendary items were like you described, well rolled yellow was sometimes better than legendary, but that make alot of confusion and devs changed it.
Finding really good item with that type of itemisation would be very hard, and community is crying already every time theres some item in the game that is hard to get and gives adventage for the owner (like ancient furnace in the early seasons).
Don't get me wrong, i would love to see some changes to itemisation that would add more depth and some interesting mechanics, i just don't think scrapping some stuff just to get it the way "d2 done it" would be the right choice to do that.

You can always reject EULA and stop playing blizzard games if you think that it hurts your constitutional rights in any way. You can also buy some cheap nongaming pc for stuff that you want to keep in secret, you can even have encrypted partition on ur gaming pc so noone will be able to read from it. There's plenty of options for people who take so called "privacy" so seriously. Reality is that it will hurt only those who are trying to cheat while gaming, the rest of us will just have better experience while playing.

GR 70 is pretty easy if you have correct gear. You don't need any ancients (ancient weapon would be nice tho - this is ur first goal in terms of ancients) and you definetly don't need any augments. You just need correct items for the build you are using. I'd pick some build that is high rated on diablofans and gather stuff for it.
For "easy" classes that can reach 70 without problems i'd go for: wizzard, crusafer, nerco. I mean those i have some experience with, so i dunno how easy are wd and barb. I wouldn't recommend monk for that task. I played it some time for 1 season and i felt that its much harder to reach 70 with monk than with others.
Some tips: don't try to clear all mobs, leave single mobs and focus on bigger packs. If you see that some packs are dangerous and you can die multiple times on it, its better to skip it too, else you wont gain any time if you keep dying. Classes that are heavy cc dependent like crus or necro should skip most of juggernaut elites too.
Mar 19, 2017truerasp posted a message on Blizzard is ramping up efforts, yet another Banwave on US ServersPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionBecause you dont get magically better on the game just by using TH. Its an overlay, not a bot.
Who said that TH is a bot. Just because you are not boting, doesnt mean, you not cheating. I wouldn't care if it would "just" be an overlay. It gives you much more information that you are supposed to get.But if you run GR80 within 10 min, then you will run it with TH in like 6-7 min.
This is exacly what TH gives. It is a maphack, you know exacly where to go on maps, you know how much progress you will get from the pack of mobs you are at. This gives unfair adventage in high gr-s just because of that. Knowing map layouts, and judging if you should skip pack or not, is part of the difficulty in this game. If you are using some piece of software that gives you that info, then you basically cheating.
Mar 18, 2017truerasp posted a message on Blizzard is ramping up efforts, yet another Banwave on US ServersPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionYou surely dont need TH for leveling and early farming, like you dont need addons to lvl a char in WoW to 110, but you surely need it afterwards, like you need dbm and weak auras.
Except you don't. I'v played all the seasons, have all journeys completed, and i ended up on leaderboards in most of the seasons (top 150 crusaders eu in s9) and i never used it.
Addons are in wow because they are allowed, they are not allowed in D3 period. I hated that TH was kidna in gray area, in theory it wasn't allowed, but same time noone got banned for using it, and no actions were taken againts creators.

Really nice guide, thanks for it !
I played some supports few seasons ago, last 2 i played mainly solo but might try some more group play for season 10. I have few questions that will prolly lighten some stuff for me, would be nice if someone could answer them:
1. Why is bleed chance good on support monk ?
2. How is barb generating globes - if i remember correctly Solanium got nerfed to the groud ?
3. I saw some variations on monks, like some ae using 2 pieces of Uliana - is that EP decent enough dps or ?
4. What GR level you can effectively speed farm in s10 with 600+ paragon group (early in season) ?
5. What's best setup for speed farming 4 man (heal monk, barb, wd and ???) ?

I usually reroll weapon (if i wont get it from crafting yellows to legendary) and the last items i need.
There are 3 cases where mass rerolling might be needed:
- you are playing LoN build - in that case you just need ancients for build to work, so you can't really have nonancient items without loosing alot of power
- you are playing some crazy build that requires perfect primary and secondary stats to work properly (dunno if anything like that even exists)
- you are going for close to perfect gear - this is just personal thing, you don't really need this
I'm not saying thay you should be ok with non ancient gear, but while playing the game you most likely find ancient versions of most of the stuff you need, and by playing i mean that you spend good chunk of time in game, not like that you will get all gear in a week.
Also one more thing: bounty mats are rather easy to get. The real problem is forgotten souls. If you start rerolling you will notice fast that the huge pile of souls you had before is actually very small.

There are some changes in 2.5 atleast. Armory is the biggest one i think.
Armory kidna opens ways to experimentation. For now im just playing build of my choice per season and not touching other builds. Sure i have additional char for speeds but thats all. With armory i wont need to level additional char anymore (if its same class as main), i can also prepare 3-4 additional builds and swap betweend them easily - that means i can test those builds without leveling additional char and gems for him.
For primals, i think we will see how it will go this season. I think it will turns out as a big disappointment when people realize that those primals aren't that exciting as they though. Also i wouldnt compare them to wings. Wings are visuals, makes ur character look different. Primals doesn't look different, they provide "better" stats.
And yet again discussion gravitates towards primals, and I failed to resist it
Feb 28, 2017Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionThe fact is, v1.0 would have destroyed competitive play, completely, as it did before when Ancients came around.
Except there was no "competetive" gameplay before they introduced ancients. In fact, if they really wanted to look at items for a direct game-play changer, instead of giving us Primal Ancient items, the could give regular legendaries a chance to inscribe Runewords.
Now i don't get it. First you saying that powerfull and very rare items (primal v1) are bad for "competetive" gameplay and then you are saying that very rare and powerfull (i assume) runewords are ok ? It would just change source of power creep from (very boring) % stat increase to some more legendary powers obtainable through runewords.
Items are relevant, they are just super easy to get. I'm all up for rare stuff that enchances the gameplay (runes or whatever) this way or another. The problem is that it will just raise 1000 complains about "i want to play build X but i dont have Y that is needed for it - blizzard why are you punishing casual player like me, I want to experience the whole game too".
Also balancing builds and items has nothing to do with the rarity of items and no it wont extend gameplay by alot. If you play alot at the start of season ("alot" is ofcourse subjective) you will get all the items needed for all of your builds in few days (like up to 2 weeks for me for almost full ancient gear), after that we are back to boring part. That doesn't matter that theres no more item hunt, ofcourse you can always find an upgrade, but in most cases the difference is so small that the hunt isnt really exciting.

I think blizzard is trying to do something with it. In S10 we will have atleast 2 additional semi viable options for single target damage with wizzard and dh, who knows maybe even shield bash crusader will be decent enough for something.
They can't remove stricken, they introduced it to shorten the fights with rift guardians on high grs, removing it would make this issue coming back. What i thnik they can do is to change a bit how the stricken works. Instead of applying the stack on every attack it can be proc based, this way it would work with proc coefficients, so super fast hitting builds like monk one wouldn't gain so much value from this gem. It would be direct nerf to monk build tho.

I think there are multiple boosts available. XP boost is 25% (that's what i saw in some old patch notes), and you are right they prolly wouldn't limit xp boost, also if they ever do this on US/EU they will prolly go for only cosmetics/quality of life products, not ones that gives adventage (forums would be flooded in tears). Introducing that kind of shop would be awesome for the game, dunno why they didnt do that yet.
