    posted a message on GR70+

GR 70 is pretty easy if you have correct gear. You don't need any ancients (ancient weapon would be nice tho - this is ur first goal in terms of ancients) and you definetly don't need any augments. You just need correct items for the build you are using. I'd pick some build that is high rated on diablofans and gather stuff for it.

For "easy" classes that can reach 70 without problems i'd go for: wizzard, crusafer, nerco. I mean those i have some experience with, so i dunno how easy are wd and barb. I wouldn't recommend monk for that task. I played it some time for 1 season and i felt that its much harder to reach 70 with monk than with others.

Some tips: don't try to clear all mobs, leave single mobs and focus on bigger packs. If you see that some packs are dangerous and you can die multiple times on it, its better to skip it too, else you wont gain any time if you keep dying. Classes that are heavy cc dependent like crus or necro should skip most of juggernaut elites too.

Because you dont get magically better on the game just by using TH. Its an overlay, not a bot.

Who said that TH is a bot. Just because you are not boting, doesnt mean, you not cheating. I wouldn't care if it would "just" be an overlay. It gives you much more information that you are supposed to get.

But if you run GR80 within 10 min, then you will run it with TH in like 6-7 min.

This is exacly what TH gives. It is a maphack, you know exacly where to go on maps, you know how much progress you will get from the pack of mobs you are at. This gives unfair adventage in high gr-s just because of that. Knowing map layouts, and judging if you should skip pack or not, is part of the difficulty in this game. If you are using some piece of software that gives you that info, then you basically cheating.

Please dont try to legitimize your actions, what you do is called cheating, and that is clearly forbidden, you agreed on that when you accepted terms of use of this game.

You surely dont need TH for leveling and early farming, like you dont need addons to lvl a char in WoW to 110, but you surely need it afterwards, like you need dbm and weak auras.

Except you don't. I'v played all the seasons, have all journeys completed, and i ended up on leaderboards in most of the seasons (top 150 crusaders eu in s9) and i never used it.

Addons are in wow because they are allowed, they are not allowed in D3 period. I hated that TH was kidna in gray area, in theory it wasn't allowed, but same time noone got banned for using it, and no actions were taken againts creators.

posted a message on Basics of support class

Really nice guide, thanks for it !

I played some supports few seasons ago, last 2 i played mainly solo but might try some more group play for season 10. I have few questions that will prolly lighten some stuff for me, would be nice if someone could answer them:

    1. Why is bleed chance good on support monk ?

    2. How is barb generating globes - if i remember correctly Solanium got nerfed to the groud ?

    3. I saw some variations on monks, like some ae using 2 pieces of Uliana - is that EP decent enough dps or ?

    4. What GR level you can effectively speed farm in s10 with 600+ paragon group (early in season) ?

    5. What's best setup for speed farming 4 man (heal monk, barb, wd and ???) ?

posted a message on Bounty runs necessary?

I usually reroll weapon (if i wont get it from crafting yellows to legendary) and the last items i need.

There are 3 cases where mass rerolling might be needed:

    - you are playing LoN build - in that case you just need ancients for build to work, so you can't really have nonancient items without loosing alot of power

    - you are playing some crazy build that requires perfect primary and secondary stats to work properly (dunno if anything like that even exists)

    - you are going for close to perfect gear - this is just personal thing, you don't really need this

I'm not saying thay you should be ok with non ancient gear, but while playing the game you most likely find ancient versions of most of the stuff you need, and by playing i mean that you spend good chunk of time in game, not like that you will get all gear in a week.

Also one more thing: bounty mats are rather easy to get. The real problem is forgotten souls. If you start rerolling you will notice fast that the huge pile of souls you had before is actually very small.

posted a message on Season 9 end and S10 start announced

There are some changes in 2.5 atleast. Armory is the biggest one i think.

Armory kidna opens ways to experimentation. For now im just playing build of my choice per season and not touching other builds. Sure i have additional char for speeds but thats all. With armory i wont need to level additional char anymore (if its same class as main), i can also prepare 3-4 additional builds and swap betweend them easily - that means i can test those builds without leveling additional char and gems for him.

For primals, i think we will see how it will go this season. I think it will turns out as a big disappointment when people realize that those primals aren't that exciting as they though. Also i wouldnt compare them to wings. Wings are visuals, makes ur character look different. Primals doesn't look different, they provide "better" stats.

And yet again discussion gravitates towards primals, and I failed to resist it :)

The fact is, v1.0 would have destroyed competitive play, completely, as it did before when Ancients came around.

Except there was no "competetive" gameplay before they introduced ancients.

In fact, if they really wanted to look at items for a direct game-play changer, instead of giving us Primal Ancient items, the could give regular legendaries a chance to inscribe Runewords.

Now i don't get it. First you saying that powerfull and very rare items (primal v1) are bad for "competetive" gameplay and then you are saying that very rare and powerfull (i assume) runewords are ok ? It would just change source of power creep from (very boring) % stat increase to some more legendary powers obtainable through runewords.

Items are relevant, they are just super easy to get. I'm all up for rare stuff that enchances the gameplay (runes or whatever) this way or another. The problem is that it will just raise 1000 complains about "i want to play build X but i dont have Y that is needed for it - blizzard why are you punishing casual player like me, I want to experience the whole game too".

Also balancing builds and items has nothing to do with the rarity of items and no it wont extend gameplay by alot. If you play alot at the start of season ("alot" is ofcourse subjective) you will get all the items needed for all of your builds in few days (like up to 2 weeks for me for almost full ancient gear), after that we are back to boring part. That doesn't matter that theres no more item hunt, ofcourse you can always find an upgrade, but in most cases the difference is so small that the hunt isnt really exciting.

I think blizzard is trying to do something with it. In S10 we will have atleast 2 additional semi viable options for single target damage with wizzard and dh, who knows maybe even shield bash crusader will be decent enough for something.

They can't remove stricken, they introduced it to shorten the fights with rift guardians on high grs, removing it would make this issue coming back. What i thnik they can do is to change a bit how the stricken works. Instead of applying the stack on every attack it can be proc based, this way it would work with proc coefficients, so super fast hitting builds like monk one wouldn't gain so much value from this gem. It would be direct nerf to monk build tho.

posted a message on Asia ingame store going worldwide?

I think there are multiple boosts available. XP boost is 25% (that's what i saw in some old patch notes), and you are right they prolly wouldn't limit xp boost, also if they ever do this on US/EU they will prolly go for only cosmetics/quality of life products, not ones that gives adventage (forums would be flooded in tears). Introducing that kind of shop would be awesome for the game, dunno why they didnt do that yet.

Exp boost would be ok, as long as they would limit it to certain paragon level, for example only till 1000 paragons. So it woudn't affect much top end competition.

"Woohoo, I got totally lucky and now I can decimate things everywhere!" Then you realize that once you have it, there's nothing left to hunt for. Right back into the paragon grind, just with an OP item that maybe the next guy on the LBs doesn't have, yet? If he never gets it, the drop rate of Primals increases, and then they'll announce Super Primals, rinse, repeat, add adjective.

Finding that gg primal would make that boring paragon grind less boring (just because theres that slight chance that i will find next gg primal tomorrow). It's just your opinion that they would increase drop rates and then add next item tier. We need 3rd item tier (very rare) if we want to have item hunt relevant. It doesn't have to be in form of % stat increase, but that actually doesnt matter. If they would introduce super rare items that give more power this way or another there will be always people like you that will complain to the death about how unfair it is.

posted a message on Primal ancient they are against the philosophy of diablo

Ancient's are on S1 leaderboards, you can check in game.

The reason why we saw so much more people with ancient items in later seasons are:

    - higher gr-s were cleared, that means more drops

    - higher torments vere introduced with higher drop chances for legendaries

    - they introduced cube

I'm just saying they buffed the whole legendary drop chances by increasing the range of difficulties and allowing people to do higher gr-s because of more op gear.

"Clears Grift90+" as advertised, you'd expect that getting just a regular old set together with maybe one or two ancient items would clear Grift 90 then, yea?

Ofc they are advertised for what they are capable off, but that doesn't mean that build wont work if you don't get full ancient set with augments.

Play seasonal, you reset everything. Stop whining about being GG and start over, it's actually quite fun and keeps the game at least somewhat interesting.

But i play seasons only, mostly after 2 weeks to 1 month im done with the game because the only thing that is left is boring paragon grind.

Instead of Primals right now, I'd prefer to see every siungle legendary in the game have a purpose.

I agree to some point. More options is always better. The problem is that it doesn't extend the gameplay. Even with all legendaries with good powers i would be done with season in a month max, because they are just too easy to get. The only solution to that is to make different tiers of the gear with the highest tiers hardest to get. Then item hunt will be back in the game without limititng ppl from trying specific builds because "item X is super rare".

Reason why i don't like current primals is because they have close to 0 meaning. I won't be excited by finding one of those. That's why i liked 30% stronger primal better, because there was higher chance that if i find the correct one i will be able to use it and it will make my character significantly stronger.

I'm not saying that the primals 1.0 were perfect, but we all know that D3 team has limited resources for adding stuff to the game now, so i liked those as a bandaid solution.

if I decide to partake in the leaderboard race, should my progression towards that goal be defined by your version of the game? Should my leaderboard hunt predicate your play? The answer to both questions is no. You also don't seem to grasp the idea that Blizzard has already done "Primal" in it's first form, called Ancient. Now they rain from the sky, why? They were so terrible an imbalance that they either had to rain from the sky, or be removed. The definition of insanity much?

They don't "rain from the sky", they aren't that hard to get because of much higer torments available (higher drop rates of everything) and cube reforging (but this affects all the items including future primals). I didn't say that you have to forget about leaderboards, but if you want to push for top 10 you will need to put an effort that is needed for that anyway. I brought paragons up because it is filling the role of "OP" primals atm. Top players will farm for whatever is needed. Currently it is paragon, in the future that might be primals.

Look to the diablofans builds, 99.9% of all builds are predicated on having ancients, in all slots.

I don't see a single one except maybe a LoN builds. Ofcourse you will need ancients and augments if you want to go high (what a surprise).

People usually wait until the last day of the season to push that final grift. The 3 months of farming for that final push is the boring grind

Because of paragon ? Gaining 5 main stat every hour or so is indeed boring.

Look to the season in which Ancients arrived, that's your proof that Primals will never work as v1.0. Ever.

Proof of what ? There was no seasons/leaderboards without ancients.

posted a message on New here, a few weeks older in the game, looking for some data :)

I think noone can give you exact numbers, its all about what do you feel would be comfortable for you.

Also i'm guessing you said that you play melee wizzard, isn't it some speedfarming build ?. The thing with speedfarming builds is that they are for speed farm lower rifts, they aren't really for pushing, just because they lack survivability (especially ingeom builds).

About what's best, it really depends on class and build, as a wizzard you will prolly value armor more than all res, because you already have alot of all res from int. Vit you will find anyway on some pieces of gear, don't think anyone actually gearing for vit. One thing is that vit is in most cases better than %life.

Vit + %life + all res + armor those are stats that affects your EHP, basically toughness stat that you see on ur char screen is your EHP.

Life regeneration - can't really help here it heavily depends on spec you play. Some classes that hit very fast uses LPH, some can use life per resource. One thing though i wouldn't put life regeneration skills in same category as vit/armor/all res.

Sometimes more damage = more toughness, stuff that dies fast won't hurt you (its not the case for high grs but could work for everything under gr 70).

Sometimes your survivability is your gameplay, make sure that you fully understand ur build and its defensive options.

posted a message on How to get primal exactly? Can some1 help me understand that...

Yes, you can even do T1 and u will have chance to drop. You just need to do 70 to unlock drop chance, then you can do any content and u will have a chance to find primal.
