doesnt proof anything
starcraft 1 got 1 expansion
starcraft 2 got 3 expansion
doesnt proof anything
yeah for pennant and portrait frame, then back to poe
there is always going to be a 100% most efficient set up. it's an guarentee of game design.
while this is true , this argument is getting sooo old.
no one is demanding 100% perfect balance. but the difference shouldnt be more than 1-2 GRs appart from each other
d3 has almost no players left 1-2 weeks after patch
was the same in vanilla. you wanted mainstat, vit, trifecta stats and res
atleast we have some interesting unique affixes now on the legendaries
and you got a wounderful feeling when you found one.
except 9 out of 10 uniques were utterly useless except some items like lacunis bracers / mempo helm if they rolled with critchance, skorn and the 1h mace with extra IAS.
paragon is just another bandaid that was added in a patch in vanilla.
the problem is that 1 - 70 has no right to exist imo.
the whole leveling should be reworked.
or better: the whole game needs a complete overhaul like square enix did with final fantasy 14.
there are no very rare items like a d2 windforce in d3 where you knew that if you found one it will always be very good .
in d3 not only there are no rare uniques in d3 at all, you can equip a character within 2 days ~ but items become obsolote when a new patch arrives because they make some other sets and items OP OP.
also youre locked in whats currently meta OP because grinding paragons and pushing gr is the only endgame and you wont find a public group if you dont play the current cookie cutter OP build . The game is designed to be played like the devs want to, not how you want to play.
You sure about that? Especially with the new free set being mailed to you deal in seasons...
Perfect items, of course not. Nobody's gonna be pushing GR100 on day 1
Just give it a few more patches and we will see people speedfarming gr 100s on day 1. if they continue their power creep design philosophy its just a matter of time.
Thing is: Bots kept this game alive. You cant imagine how many of the active playerbase are using bots. The statistic on one of the bots page said~5 million legendaries dropped in the last 24 hours by this bot..my complete frinedlist is either offline or botting gr keys. The game currently offers nothing except xp grinding and grift fishing in the last weeks of a season. They should rename the game into "Grifts: The Paragon grinding / fishing simulator" and sell the IP.
agreed. endgame is farming xp in this game, not loothunting. on the 2nd day of season 5 i had completed my gear and did GR 65s speed. a couple days later i almost had full ancient. every item thats not part of the BiS item is garbage. worst thing is with every patch the items you found are 100% obsolote because they implement stronger ones for even higher GR, over and over again.
back in the days of d2 i was happy if i found any good item because i could trade it for SoJs oder another item, in d3 it just goes straight to the vendor. Also i was sick of paragongrinding after a week in s5. Worst endgame ever. baal runs were more enjoyable for me and still are. and if the devs think set dungeons is what the endgame needs they need to check their priorities. or even better fire the team and hire new people, but this time no narrowminded WoW devs
At this point probably the majority is botting or using turbohud. I mean just look at the rosb** statistics on their website. After 3 days into a new season it says 10 million legendary and set items were looted by your bots. Its just crazy . Seems like BoA to remove botting and 3rd party spammers didnt work out so well. Botting is now a major part of d3 and people are even less afraid to get banned than in d2.
The more blizzard copies from PoE the better (and they already copied a lot of things, which is good). Sad thing is they remove any depth from what they copied (see nephalem rifts).
Another problem is: in PoE the harder you roll your maps (rifts in d3) the more monsterdensity, itemquantity and itemrarity you get. In d3 you dont need itemquantity / rarity because you have best in slot within 2-3 days anyways. Heck, in 2.4 they even gift you a whole 6 piece item after you got some achivement (6 out of 13 slots already filled with BiS items) for free. They might as well remove items completly and make it a radio button choice which 6p set you want to have active. D3 lacks longetivity its not even funny any more, 99% of the time in a season you only grind XP because its all that is left to do.
They should make the endgame about finding items again!
D3 desperately needs more depth. Problem is the devs are to stubborn to realize it.
not really, hearthstone is almost making more money than WoW at this point
ding ding ding
if they released a good permanent cow level (with speed grift like exp) everyone would be happy. It is so easy to implement...why dont they do it?? I havent touched this game for months now but i still read the forums and blueposts, everytime they write something i want to facepalm -.-
Also this cow level is not a gift, its a slap in the face, you do it one time and never again. Its wasted development time. As is said, we need a good, permanent cowlevel for exp grinding, an alternative to teddy bear grift fishing and speedgrifting
So I highly doubt D3 is going to be killed when either of those games release.
last time i checked this game had like 200 open games in public t6 softcore. i dont think much has changed to the better. This game sold over 20.000.000 copies, i dont think more than a couple of thousand people are still playing it. So we can pretty much say this game IS already dead and people come only back to play for some days when a new patch comes out
nah. its because they only give us bandaid fixes. they never touch the broken core of the game. If the core would be good we wouldnt need patches all the time... 1 or 2 xpacks would be enough. especially now with ancients (another new itemlevel / layer of rng) and their new direction (more 6p sets forcing us into one of a couple endgame builds that have been chosen by blizzard) they have proven that they are really clueless what a arpg / hack n slay needs...
