posted a message on quick question regarding tal ammy
The way Elemental Exposure is worded, each different element applies it's own stack that can then stack up to 4 times. So in theory affected monsters can take up to 80% more damage.

Now, by the time you stack the debuff up on normal monsters they will be long dead. It can possibly be useful for elites/champions and bosses IF you can rotate the skills. But even if you have just 3 elemental damage types via two spells and what is on the weapon that is +60% damage.

That's exactly what I'm saying: there is no official word on it.

It's not on any of the 4 tabs, but it still seems to be in the game. If Kickin_It is right and it's removed as an innate paragon bonus, where else does it appear? It's in the datamined info, but it appeared nowhere else so far, and MF was not mentioned in any of the paragon-related blue posts. We're just trying to connect the bread crumbs.

But there Is official word on it, paragon levels will only provide the paragon points nothing else, read the quoted blue post, what is so hard to comprehend? With MF/GF they have 3 options add it under the Adventuring tab, roll it into NV or make players gear for it again.

So they are removing life steal and instead give joke and NON-SCALING LoH/ life regen/ shield values that couldn't absorb a sneeze from current MP1 level 63 fallen. Yet they leave the defense skills gutted with high CDs forcing for example CM Wizards to be the way to go because you are going to be demon food otherwise.

The no cap on Paragon levels is not completely true since every attribute has a maximum cap of how many points you can allocate there as shown on the screenshots.

You can grind out all Paragon levels with only one character and no longer limited to 100 that is what the no cap on Pl means, should be clarified.

    1) We don't know how the scaling is and how XP -> paragon points translates. It might be that high that no one ever comes close to capping out all stats.
    2) We don't know that many details about paragon 2.0; they might as well just create one random "no cap" thing on each tab (e.g., as soon as you spent 200 points on a single tab) or whatever.

If they say it's "infinite", I'm pretty sure it will feel infinite - whether it's due to one really infinitely stackable stat or due to the infinitely difficult leveling towards reaching all caps ;-)

Infinite stats would invaliadate gear as you could possibly get everything you need from paragon levels and run around naked still oneshotting everything in your way.

Don't get me wrong it would be great! But knowing Blizz they are hell bent on stuffing item based progression down our throats and anything threatening that will be a no go.

While near infinite xp required for the next level would equal to a level cap since you couldn't progress further.

posted a message on [UPDATED] Watch D3's Expansion 'Reaper of Souls' teaser and opening cinematic!
The paladins were and order of Zakarum, in Diablo 2 you personally destroy what remains of the organization after it's council members are corrupted. Thus the paladins as an order and as a class are no more.

We don't know the lore behind the crusaders yet, they can be and offshoot from Zakarum, members of the Templars (the faction Kormac is a member of) or a lot of other things.

What will make or break the expansion for me is the Mystic and how the affix reroll works.

Oh and about the 3rd party traders lobbying for the removal of the AH, I hope they remove ALL and every sort of trading between players even the dropping items on the ground method so we don't have to read your moaning all the freaking time!

The +damage from achievements based on sheer luck is plain bad. I have played D2:LoD for 7 years never ever found a fracking Stone of Jordan so yeah you want to have the self found special snowlfake badge all right, but without any other benefit besides the personal ego boost.

The Mystic, as presented, is the only thing that would glue me to Diablo 3, the current Action Casino angle is not what I was expecting or like. BTW the idea was posted numerous times on the forums, please be less dramatic about how "hard" it was to come up with it.

erm.. that DII assassin figurine looks like a man with overly developed mammary glands.

About the problem, CM has to go either entirely or as mentioned converted into a set bonus and the Wiz defenses readjusted because now at higher MP levels stunlock or the extra def from Archon are the only things that can keep you alive.

    Quote from Diablofan0815

What Travis Day and Wyatt Cheng are saying these days is a lot of political bla bla, now that Blizzard has - finally - recognized that the AH is a crap shot for a hack & slay game like Diablo. I mean, everyone with a little brain - and especially a professional game designer - should have foreseen the AH debacle, but they all kept quiet because the finance guys wanted the AH as revenue stream.

Now that the AH is more or less out of the equation, they are struggling which way to go and what to implement or improve over Diablo 2's systems. The options are on the table, and there's a lot options (mainly from the community). Let's take, for example, the "self-found" mode. Travis Day says that players who opt for self-found basically "want the reward game to matter and get excited about things they find on the ground." That's correct, but they don't need a special mode/option for that because no one holds them back to do so. Asking for self-found means more: Those players want to find stuff themselves *and* they want to COMPETE with other players in that mode, so what they want is basically the LADDER!

It is clear that the devs still try to dodge the ladder at the moment because it would basically make the established, now one year old economy completely obsolete. It would be a total reset. They are afraid of all the people who already invested hundreds of dollars in their chars. How would they react if they implement a ladder now? So, if we get the ladder, self-found or whatever, it won't be before the expansion because THEN they can actually "reset" the economy and no one would really complain.

You nicely twisted and bended everything into what YOU want from the game.

Self-found players merely want to progress without having to farm 100 years for an upgrade, something that regular players can get from the AH.

Random stats will never blow my mind, farming for a year just to see a legendary drop with the lowest possible stat rolls makes me loathe the drop system.

If it is super hard to get one make them have static attributes with static values so when i see that name i know i have THE item not this oh look you are out of luck sucks to be u reward system. This is an arpg not a freaking casino.

I can't complain too much about Diablo 3. I enjoy the game even today. Fast paced, some interesting fights, some minmaxing with gear -10% of what might be and I hope it will be soon-...

But I feel like I was Betaing for the consoles...

If 1.0.8 brings a dodge button and fewer but better items... The we will know that we've been played and I will feel insulted, like someone said. And if 1.09 or 1.1 or whatever even doesn't exist and we must wait till expansion I will rage.

Maybe childish, maybe nerdie... but I will be pissed. Nerd rage is so sweet, and you feel warm and part of a enraged and sweet and warm group... Nerd rage!

-The sad part is that between all this sarcasm is possible thet we've been taking part in the first beta paid by the customers of the history. If in a decade or so, some dark developer earns his week of glory uncovering a lot of rubbish swept under the carpet during the developing of DIII and that is confirmed, then I will feel truly sad-

If the PC version does not get the imrovements from the console version like the dodge button because little snowflakes like you crying over the forums I will be furious.

For me crafted item does not count as "self-found item". I definitely prefer to find item on my own from monster which I kill. Because I wont to kill monsters not only for EXP. I wont to fight monster and in fight I wont to be curious what this monster can drop. Now drop chances are so low that this “curious” has no sense.

I agree. By crafting, I already know what I'm going to get (chest piece, sword, etc), it takes at least half of the fun away from item hunting. Again, just like I don't want to farm gold or XP, I don't want to craft mats or demonic essences. I want to farm items. Is that so hard for Blizzard to understand?

How crafting changes hinder you in any way to farm? Go and grind until your eyes bleed. I would rather take a system where I can with effort get an item I want before the game is 10 years old.
