posted a message on Found Legendary: ID now or wait?
    Quote from Xeley

It won't get buffed in the next major patch which makes me think it'll be at least a month until it happens, maybe more. I'd just ID and sell seeing how it's not even confirmed that unidentified will get higher stats. The stats might already be decided, you just can't see them.

IF it works like d2 the stats are already assigned to the item, you just cant see em without IDing it

posted a message on help - wiz build suggestions and advice - what to stack
one of the single largest DPS increasing pieces i changed was from a similar source of yours to a 100-365 7.0% crit chance blue source,

I can farm most of a3 minus overpowered elite combo's using

    magic missle (seeker)
    arcane orb (AP cost reduction)
    teleport (fracture)
    magic weapon (force weapon)
    EA (FA)
    hydra (arcane) {{ too much kiting for effective Venom Hydra, and arcane hydra slows from passive}}

    illusionist
    glass cannon
(arcane dmg slows mob) for the 3rd one

    im at approx

    39k HP
    36k DPS
    300 res all

    SOLO build

edit: missed the part about this being a2 may want to drop magic weap for mirror image (duplicates) for more get out of trouble skills

    Quote from Effu

I am in Australia at the moment and have 500 ms latency to the European WoW servers. South Africa should get better than that.

Besides, if it is too bad you can always play singleplayer. I think you only need to be online to log in then, and still play on your own computer, but I'm in doubt about that, since I don't have the beta.

Firtly, I read your name as Ef-u, is this intended :P. Second, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but any (legitimate) game will require a constant connection to the server. Monster attacks, damage calcs etc will all be server side. This has been 100% confirmed.

please dont say 100% confirmed when you may be inaccurate, im at work so i cant look for the blue posts AND I MAY BE MISTAKEN but all calculation are done client side with "checkups" to the server. if someone can do the leg work please post the blue thread stating this.

(it may have been blizzcon where this was discussed)

posted a message on New Followers Update 1/6/2012
    Quote from Nastai

So, if a follower dies when you die, what happens to all the loot that you equipped him with? Is it gone forever?

Secondly; how will the AI of these followers work. While playing solo inferno (with a follower) it will be likely that you'll need to kite monsters to avoid getting annihilated. Will your follower be smart enough to do so too, or will it charge in like attacking is the only thing they know, and get slaughtered? They said they don't want them to become a liability, or give the feeling that they need to be taken care of all the time, but this would certainly create these two scenarios. Are there commands set up for the followers (i.e. stay, follow, attack, passive, etc)?

His post said when they "die" on thier own they step out of battle for a few moments and come back by themselves. When you die they die to a point where you need to get him in town again.

Neither myself or follower died when i was playing the beta so my above comment on how to get him back after he dies is not based on experience.

if this is a home built computer verify the RAM vs CPU vs MB compatibility. More and more often RAM now has certain MBs it is "designed" for.

Some models of Patriot gaming memory is only certified for intel CPUs (caused me to chase my tail for a few weeks on a fresh built system)

MEMtest86 can be put on a usb drive to boot from and run memory diags, i would recommend letting it do 6 or more passes on the memory and this process can take 4-6 hours

using chrome 16.0.9 the back button no longer function as desired, it seems everytime a new add is loaded the whole page reloads, so you have have to hit back 4 or 5 times to go back depending on how many add changes you were on the page for.

    anyone else noticed this?

Copied from the 2nd paragraph on the CDC page

    "
    How big is the problem?
    • In 2009, 10,839 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes, accounting for nearly one-third (32%) of all traffic-related deaths in the United States.1
    • Of the 1,314 traffic deaths among children ages 0 to 14 years in 2009, 181 (14%) involved an alcohol-impaired driver.1
    • Of the 181 child passengers ages 14 and younger who died in alcohol-impaired driving crashes in 2009, about half (92) were riding in the vehicle with the with the alcohol-impaired driver.1
    • In 2009, over 1.4 million drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.3 That's less than one percent of the 147 million self-reported episodes of alcohol-impaired driving among U.S. adults each year.4
    • Drugs other than alcohol (e.g., marijuana and cocaine) are involved in about 18% of motor vehicle driver deaths. These other drugs are often used in combination with alcohol.5 "

To all of those asking for proof, please enlighten yourselves on these threads. A simple google search provided all of the above links.
