They revamped quite a few skills, and added a lot more elemental focus on some runes to the classes.

Following a specific element might be viable with some item affixes boosting that specific element damage. If you stack say, 150% extra fire damage (by having it in almost every slot), then all your Fire Skills (and there's a lot more of those now for Wizard) will benefit from it. It's a huge bonus. We just need to figure out if it's worth giving up something like All-Res or Armor in those slots.
Are we dropping EHP stats or other stats such as Crit? I thought offensive stats were balanced so it didn't really matter which one you took or was that just in the Paragon Points
Mostly only paragon points. CHD backed up by crit is still sadly king of the hill and i see nothing ATM to remove it from that position :( i would love to see other stats be more competitive. Will make for much better itemization.

my guess is that only a select few build will run something other then CHD and CC i want to be proven wrong.

The whole new empasise on Elemental damage and cooldown reduction is something i want to be competitive.

[quote=Instant] You only have a guaranted legendary though levels 1 to 60 AFAIK. :)

1 to 59 actually. So, we won't be able to exploit it. :)

    Quoute system seems broken

It can still be exploited to some degree to farm out a set bonus or a specific Legendary effect you really need. sure a lvl 59 item vs a 70 item is not good, But Getting that effect that makes everything in a setup work. i could live with one piece being sub-par.

posted a message on How to spend my money before the AH goes down
Crafting and enchanting while playing 1-60 is still relevant i would get a minimum of 1000 per mat (remember all current normal-inferno tiers will become the same current inferno tier that will be usable from 1-60). i myself have gotten 5000 of each, even if i don't use em they where dirt cheep.

As for items, and gems i have only saved what i currently have had, no point in upgrading or spending gold/money on gems and items.

as for plans if your into that sort of collecting it could be a vise idea to buy everything you feel is worth it, (you can probably get all yellow patterns pretty cheep)

there are mixed answers on patterns in RoS ATM some say that no duplicates will be dropped after you have found one, great if you have almost everything as you will have a higher chance to get the "rare" patterns.

But the general thumb rule is to save as much gold as possible, as almost everything but gold from Vanilla will be useless after a few days played.

posted a message on What do you think gold prices will do on the RMAH as it approaches closing?
Gold price will only go up, unless there comes a reason to sell it / not have much gold on hand.

as for gems everything under marquise is free trade. but its kinda pointless to trade or even pick up lower tier gems unless its your first character.

Pretty much the only trade able commodity in RoS will be Dyes (that are easy to farm/spawn anyway).

well blizzard have pretty much succeeded in shutting down most 3rd party transaction / advantages.

it is still possible to "transfer" gold at a very bad ratio by buying items of vendors dropping em and letting another player sell em. but i don't think its worth it for gold sellers or any one to do this.

The big thing that should be with 1h vs 2h.

that 2Hs is for abilitys with cooldown or massive resource costs (to deal more damage where it matters)

and 1HS for spammy stuff like generators and low cost abilitys.

But ATM there is almost no difference between the 2 in fact 1Hs are way better as you often gain resources faster for your big spenders, to actually matter.

posted a message on I really hope this is a bug...
whats bugs me is that reduce level requirement is now a secondary affix and can drop with it.

i tough it was balanced before when it was a primary so you had to sacrifice to be able to use it at a lower level.

i am fine however with RLR is a secondary but make it enchant only on lvl 61+ items.

this will prevent vanilla players from getting 61+ equipment's that they should not have access to, and lessen the need for some 3rd party site selling em for a profit, as they might be the best for a lvl 60 character. but then its back to the why spend money on gear and not the expansion it self.

posted a message on Did something happen recently?.
i noticed something odd any items obtained before the latest patch day cannot be enchanted, be it a lvl 1 rare or a lvl 70 legendary nothing. wonder if this will apply for the 2.0 live patch also. that any items obtained before it cannot be enchanted at all. its a bit frustrating in the beta right now. as i hoarded a few of the new legendarys, but never enchanted em as i diden't know at that time what i wanted em to be. and now i cant even touch em. i guess its for the better good.

I say a better option is to just have all sub 61 items go up to lvl 60 affixes only, And bring back the cost of forgotten souls for all lvl 55+ legendaries.

but my biggest hope with the change is hopefully to balance CHD. it ain't even a fun stat but its extremly mandotory.

posted a message on "Free 2 Play" mobile games
well there are 2 huge schools of F2P games on the mobile phone one is Extremly bad and one is Semi-good.

Lets start of with the bad one, in this example dungeon keeper and any other "facebook" game, aka games that has a limited resource that lets you play for a limited time or wait for ages to get it back. Or pay a "small" fee of 1-50 dollars to let you play for half an hour extra instead of waiting 4 hours to be able to do the same thing. There are a ton of these games and some does it better then others. but 99% of them should be deleted and forgotten about completely.

The Semi-Good F2P model is the one that lets you play for an unlimited time in a go and gain everything in the game by just playing it, perhaps at a reduced rate of what a normal full pay game would have. A great example of this Punch Quest (http://www.punchquest.com/ ) an extremly solid game with lots of fun play elements. sure in essence its just a clone of the endless runner genre but it has solid gameplay. now in this game you can unlock everythign by just playing or unlock stuff by buying credits for real money.

now there are worse and better examples of this type of F2P model. for example Angry Birds GO!, you can unlock most things by just playing for free but to get the best car to be able to compete online you will have to buy the extremly expensive IAP Car only avalible from IAP. and this is very bad model IMO.

Anyway avoid the Energy based or two currency game like the plauge they are never worth it.

Diablo 2 with 24 squares? I can see you never used PlugY...

Yes, it was a mod, but if even modders did it......
How is a single player add-on even remotely useful? you had "unlimited" stash space in diablo 2 anyway with 2 CD-key and 2 clients. sure it's a hell to swap and check everything but its doable, been playing diablo 2 ladder like this for years.

    anyway back to the topic.

due to the setup of the skill system and paragon system (if it is respeccable without cost)

one only needs 6 and that leaves 6-9 mules, where you can put gear if you want for other builds for your main characters.sure if you wanna do the same thing on HC also you get 0-3 mules to put stuff in.

Sure it has not as good mule capacity as Diablo 2 or 1 it is good enought for diablo 3. i would just like to seesome betterinterface for gems, dyes and materials that does not take up a stash slot.

posted a message on More Stash Space! Finally!
Id rather have a special materials tab that basicly just stores everything in a list more or less (who ever takes out any crafting materials)

and easy to overlook special Gems tab (mostly so that i can pick up every gem i see and not skip some as they are not worth the stash space(most still will be but its fun to see gem progression)

2-3 shared stashes for general gear. as they are now

and perhaps 1 personal tab for leveling and class / spec specific items. and in this tab a preview mode for all other characters (but you would have to log on and swap stash from personal to general). This type of stash in something that is not generally needed just a nice addition.

posted a message on Blizzard removes enchanting for "60 items", oh but 2.0.1 60s can be enchanted...
    Quote from Finder

They were all so trying to beat the system hoarding up that stuff pre-RoS, and with the stroke of a key Blizzard rendered it all useless. The ocean of tears and hate on the official forums feeds my withered black heart and makes me giggle like a school-girl.
Yepp, i knew something would probably happen, so i only saved some decent rolled of the reported "OP" legendarys just in case they dident nerf em in anyway just to not be to far behind the curve. Tho i saved a lot more items with item affixes that aren't avalible anymore after RoS hits. and hopefully i can min/max something fun with em, but it will be severly limited by not being able to enchant them.

rather this then having the top 1% 60 items be extremly viable or even BiS (somebuilds) at 70. it is a sad day however.

posted a message on Blizzard removes enchanting for "60 items", oh but 2.0.1 60s can be enchanted...
i see this move as a way to finally balance CC and CHD with this change, they could possibly cut the CHD on all new items by half and still have them be better then most legacy items due to them not being enchanable anymore. and this is a good thing as the gearing options (for damage) is so redicolous booring right now.

with everything centred around 2(3stats) CC and CHD (main stat.) any item that could roll CC/CHD but didn't is pretty much a crap item. and not usefull in most setups. and this aint a fun game to play vanilla had/has the same problem.

Now with this change they can potentially change it so that CHD ain't so damn strong.

but i do agree that permanently locking all theses items out from being enchanted is a bad idea, and could be solved by only letting em roll lvl 60 stats and not lvl 70 stats. sure it would be a hidden system but this game got plenty of them anyway.

The biggest thing that makes lvl 60 legendarys so good is the crazy amount of CHD on them and APS to some extent. and this is where the focus of nerfing and balancing things should be focused on. But it seems that blizzard don't wanna do another attack speed % lash back. i understand em but if they dont fix CHD in some way this game will be forever broken in terms of gearing.

posted a message on Legacy Legendary again?
just a pointer i have accses to BETA and im in full legendary gear atm not the best perhaps but still and im sitting at 47% crit chance and 380% CHD. and everythign that can roll CRIT and CHD but does not is just pretty much worthless damage vise, My dream would be that Splash + attack speed and CDR/RCR + avarage damage could rival CC and CHD. but ATM everything but CC and CHD is a lost cause. And i realy hope the balance this out in the end. and this is why some LVL 60 items are so good still. High Main stat helps a lot to neglect lvl 60 items. But its not enough for some.

posted a message on Legacy Legendary again?
indeed, Witching hour is probably the only item that will be good for a long time at least for pure DPS due to its Critical Hit Damage + attack speed i bought out some items that have completly changed its mods also just for laughts and perhaps min max some odd build. like doombringers 8% block + legacy justice lantern. for 16% additional block. Echoing fury for its attack speed mod + CHD + Fear (could be usefull as an off hand weapon for some build but probably worthless. The fear could be good for some build but possibly better alternatives) Frostburns 30% cold Skill damage and +6% cold damage could be usefull armor will be re-rolled to main stat or APS/CC. (new ones only caps at 20% cold skill damage but is probably better overall) they are cheep tho. Stone of jordan is a tricky one as it directly boosts Elite damage by 30% and also gives resources along with a skill bonus (most are bad in RoS but some are usefull) will be good early expantion but will probably be replaced pretty fast but can be a good boost in some fights. As for sets they are all almost pretty useless. except for legacy legacy Nats with its 2 Dispipline/s bonus. could build some hilarious build with it but nothing to good. these are just some of the items that i have invested in just for Laughts and serious play and perhaps a future impossible without legacy builds. Mainly the close to zero recourse costs or Cooldown times. along with a block% set, unless there is a second Ros Block% ring and weapon. TD:LR / Bottom line: get items that you think is fun to use, for min-maxing odd stats like Resource / Cooldown / Block Just dont do it for pure power, it will not pay out in the end. as im pretty sure CHD will be Nerfed / Changed / Caped (main problem for OP lvl 60 items (and even scaling at lvl 70 in general)
