I'm personally excited that inferno is looking to be SO hard.

Well the XP they give later on (unless it increases) is so minor, that they are just that extra icying on top of the cake that we lore-nerds love :D
But glad you enjoyed it ^^

Couldn't agree more Gnub. For once in some time now, I'm actually more excited about the actual story of a game, than the game itself :D
Really looking forward to finding more of these tomes throughout the game.

And ofc for the achievement: Gotta find them all! :D

As far as I recall it supports not 3, but 4 monitors! Which is pretty amazing :)
And yes it is indeed the fasttest card out there right now.

    Here's a lengthy review:
    http://www.tomshardw...hmark,3161.html

    One thing to note though:
Coming with a hefty price tag, you will get more for your buck by choosing a cheaper hard, such as the 560 TI.
That being said, it does come with a really exciting new architechture. (talking about their new AA architechture, which truely seems amazing)

well see the 560 ti is only SLIGHTLY better at performance than my 470, but it doesn't come with the new 600 series features, such as Kepler architecture, TXAA, adaptive Vsync and 4 monitor support (you can use up to 3 to game, and 1 for desktop at the same time.) Also according to the, the 680 is better than their 590 =D
Yes indeed it is. By a long mark too. Efficiency/watt is up 144% compared, which is pretty crazy, and the TXAA architechture looks so nice.
My point being though, that you can by it at 500$, which is alot, or you can spend a whole lot less, on something that you will get just as much joy out of, and which can be replaced in a year or two, for the same amount, amounting to say, the same as the 680 costs now.

New technology will ALWAYS be pricier. You won't get the same value for the buck. Just take HDD's as an example. Sure you could get a 4 TB disk. But it will be freakishly expensive, while 2, 2 TB's won't cost you even nearly as much.

All that said, it IS a great card, and it's selling points will definitly be the increased monitor support, the TXAA and the lower power consumption.
I know I would rather buy one or two 560 TI though, or even wait and see if they make a cheaper version of the 680, that incorporates the new TXAA.

posted a message on News caster girl more atrocious than the last
    I don't get it.. I just don't get it...

How is it possible to get a WORSE news caster than pico? I mean that girl is horrible at delivering news. She sounds so unnatural, so when I saw that it was a new girl I thought: Maybe something better.
Well that's not true. I actually thought: "Woop-ti-fucking-do, another girl" first, but another besides the point.

So I hear the first few seconds of her speaking, and yay! She sounds more natural, like an actual news caster might. But then.... Oh the horror. Those minutes of Curse Weekly Update was even worse too look at than all of pico's combined.
First: The sexy act. I mean wtf? First off she's not that sexy, secondly YOU ARE DELIVERING FUCKING NEWS. Stop acting like a call-girl trying to get customers. Seriously. A little professionalism please.
Second: God oh god, stop saying tiny "yay" or "sadface"... It really put me off, and honestly it just isn't something anyone would wanna see or hear in a news cast. They wanna hear some news about the gaming world, not that you didn't get a beta key for GW2 and therefore apparently has a sadface...

So curse: Do me a favor. Either get a guy who knows how to actually broadcast, or if just by god have to stick to these awful females, get one that actually isn't an complete idiot.

    Lastly:
I'll put this up for discussion. Watch the clip. Give your comment below on what you thought of it. Ignore my post mostly regarding to the harsh language, cause I'm really just upset over such a bad performance.
So let your voice be heard. Debate. I would like to hear others opinions on the matter :)

ps. I've added a poll, so that you may vote on which you prefer.

posted a message on Preordered CE online but want to play at release? I got ideas!
The CE version is apparently a little diffrent yes, because you get some ingame items.
However you CAN use the normal client, so that when you get your CE and go home, you can start that up.

However, since it is encryptet, you will need to decrypt it, which takes alot of time, and Blizzard said that it might actually be faster to just install the game from the CE's disc's instead.

So the only way you can game at the minute midnight, is by buying a digital copy of the game, and then adding the CE later.
But honestly, you're gonna miss like what, 15 min of game time? I think one can manage...

posted a message on Preordered CE online but want to play at release? I got ideas!
Being from Europe, I'm curious to know whether or not Blizzard has said anything about there being a worldwide release (i.e. PST at midnight, but 9 am CET) or if it's release at midnight through the world.

Does anyone know? I would actually prefer the worldwide, since I can then sleep a good 8 hours, take a stroll down to my local shop and just pick up my CE there and go home and start playing at 9 am and all day without being tired :)

Im pretty sure Jay has a decent idea of when the game will be ready to ship, if he didnt he wouldnt be very good at his job.
Sure he has an "idea" as you put it so nicely. My point exactly, being that he only has an idea. He knows that the game will be ready to ship for Q2, he knows that he can announce a date within a week or two, but what he doesn't know is an exact date for that announcement. He doesn't know if it's tomorrow or if it's a week from now, cause lets face it. Things are done when they are done.

it's getting a "little" ridiculous, its not like they dont know the date yet...
Says the Blizzard insider? Actually you don't know for shit if they know the release date or not. You don't really seem to grasp how these things work.
It's actually much more likely that Jay Wilson himself doesn't even know the release date. Why? Because they are probably working hard on a few very important bugs (the login bug that caused alot of players to be unable to play the beta for one). So they don't know if they will have those bugs fixed tomorrow, or in a week. Maybe they catch a lucky break and the developers can proudly say to Jay that they've finally fixed those game-breaking bugs that just can't be there and that he can now make an annoucement, or maybe they will have to work hard the next 2 weeks and Jay will stay in uncertainty about when he gets the go from the developers.

So when they have those last pesky bugs set (cause let's face it, the rest of the game is done) they can announce it, but no one knows exactly how long it will take to do this, not even the ones working to fix them, themselves and certainly not Jay Wilson.
