Just thinking out loud here, but if you pop diamond skin and take three quick hits, then you get 90% armor for the next 30 seconds and since diamond skin has a shorter cooldown, this is going to be nearly 100% effective uptime right? I don't play a wizard seriously (my wife does) so I could be way off base here, but it seems like a really good buff if used in tandem with other skills that further mitigate damage.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

lol OP. No, MF will be a very important stat for a very long time. If people start dumping their mf gear now, then everyone should BUY IT UP, because if people are foolish enough to dump something that will have use for most of their paragon levels then that is their loss. Perhaps eventually sometime years from now the mf gear will degrade to complete worthlessness, but I have a feeling those mf items will hold their value for a while.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

...So you made a video you decided to share with nothing but your opinions, and alot of flawed... "arguments", I guess they are.
Just to clarify a few things -
You don't crit like a truck because you're using an Xbow specificly. You crit higher because it gives you 50% more dmg on your crits. Which is, all in all, not alot. There's also a mathematical point where the 50% crit dmg is both weaker and stronger than 15% raw damage - this breakpoint would be at 30% crit chance (30% chance means 30 out of every 100 hits crit for 50% more dmg, giving you a 15% dmg increase).
You also completly forget to mention that the 1hand crossbows provide a 10% crit bonus from archery instead of 50% crit dmg or 15% raw damage.
You claim that the 1hand crossbow burns through your hatred "really fast", but you forget to consider the fact that you will regen the spent hatred equally as fast by firing off your hatred generator (if it takes 20 secs to unload with a crossbow and 20 secs to refill, then it'll take 15 secs to unload and refill with a hand crossbow, simple logic) - there's really no difference, except you might have to refill your hatred bar instead of rely on it to have killed everything when it's depleted, but sustained damage will result in the same time spent regenning/spending as any other weapon type.
You spent half a minute going over how "cool" each item looks.
You skip over the reasoning behind the fact that every proper demon hunter prefers a crossbow (stutter-step kiting).
Yes, cold dmg WILL proc Cull the weak. No, you shouldn't use a cold dmg wep unless you get *the* top tier cold dmg wep, as cold dmg has smaller dmg affix ranges than any other affix (meaning they will do much less dps).
If you want to be informative, you can either make a general video that lasts two minutes, and get it right (crossbows has the most reliable dmg, are slowest so they are best for kiting, etc), or spend some time actually considering what you're going to say and research what you are claiming.
after reading the first few lines of your response. i realized you are a very rude troll and it would be a waste to continue to read it.
how about some polite suggestions/tips? rather then just try and cut me down.
non the less, you gotta cheer up my friend.
While the straight cutting down imo is defiantly rude, draco makes extremely good points.
Pretty much this. We'd all prefer everyone says nice things all the time, but especially on the internet you're probably not going to get that. In any case doing the research and providing the math will at least show people proof that what you're saying is correct. If it is not correct, then people can immdiately find the flaw in your argument and correct it.

what? drop rates decline if you buy something from the AH? that doesnt seem right -.-
That's technically not what he said. He said upgrades go down if you use the AH to buy cheap gear. Think about it, if you buy upgrades from the AH, then realistically all those drops that would have been upgrades for you are now "not upgrades" therefore if you buy upgrades off the AH your chances of finding an upgrade in-game actually go down.

[The copies sold before anyone was really able to play the game and flesh out many of the problems we're running into now. The game isn't as good as we expected or they led us to believe. The engine for the game is pretty solid, but everything else is lacking for a 'Blizzard game'.
Everyone I play with loves the game and agrees that this is a fantastic effort on Blizzard's part. For two days the servers sucked which is a solid complaint for a game developed by a company that is at the forefront of online gaming, but to say that the game overall is lacking makes me laugh.

I'm level 44 now, about 4.7k health.
That is your problem. Get waaaay more dex/vit gear. By 44 you should have over 10k hp.

Your girlfriend's comments mirror almost exactly my wife's experience when she was playing on my friend's D3 Beta. Big props to Blizzard for making a game so accessable to a lot of people, yet also tons of fun for the more die hard gamer.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
