Thank you, I'm happy to hear that!
Dark Lord, the Board Game's development is slowly coming to a close (the game itself is finished--just making it look amazing now). We are very excited to have so many amazing and professional artists contributing to make Dark Lord equally as good-looking as it is intensely fun to play.
While I managed to sneak in a couple of my own graphics, I don't pretend that they amount to anything close to our other artists' work. I'm simply the Creative Director that pulls and stitches everything together to make it work (and I'm very happy with doing that!).
Thanks very much for checking us out and following us along our indy-game-developer journey. Much like this website, we are nothing without our fans!

There have been moments of anger, but so far our game testers have been civil (for the most part!).Quote from Maka
Watched the Alpha playthrough. The fact that it was sped up made me think about how funny it would be if one of the players would suddenly leap across the table and start brawling with another player.
Sorry, I like making up comical hypothetical situations in my head.
Good luck, dude!
Thanks, we will need it!
If all goes well, we will have a thousand copies of the final version manufactured and sold sometime this Summer. I'll be sure to keep updating this thread for funsies.

Feels pretty rad, although I still feel that anxious feeling before bed when I realize I haven't done an illustration for the night. I'll be glad when that's gone. To be honest, I have probably polished off at least 40 cookies so far. My girlfriend is a foodie and made an absurd amount of cookies for the holidays.Quote from Lt._Venom
Great Job, Man!! How do you feel on completing this task? You're next task is to kill off 100 cookies!!

I will be continuing making digital art and posting them to this thread in case people still want to check my stuff out. My game design team now has an official Facebook page (oh man), and we are working on making the website presentable to launch it early January.
There is still a lot more to do regarding our board game, and I will be sure to update this thread with teasers and other related, cool stuff if you all are interested. As for now, I'm sleeps. Presents in the morning and another day of slothness and eye straining at the television. Hope you all have a great holiday season!

I appreciate that. It's been a creative, stressful, and overall fun project. I'm happy to have had company along the way! "363 Corn Tap"Quote from drjdredscythe

I'll be finishing this project with 365 illustrations, then taking a little break from the daily thing. I have ideas for the next one, though, if I do another lengthy art challenge. "359 Koffing"Quote from Maka
LOL That's really funny. Btw, how many are you actually planning on doing?

Apr 1, 2014It's obvious that Blizzard knows the fans want the Druid and Necromancer classes back.Posted in: News
I'm calling it now: The next expansion classes are likely to be the Necromancer and a completely new Druid/Sorceress mix.

Ideas and suggestions? Take a look at Path of Exile. I'm sure you'll find something there.
It's funny how Blizzard still actually pretends to give a crap what players think.
Meanwhile, every weekly content patch on Path of Exile has the players entirely in mind, so much so that players can create new uniques that completely change the game to enable many more viable builds that players want.
This "fun for everyone, even your grandmother (for a couple weeks)" adopted business model is absolutely crap and has destroyed the Diablo franchise.

Eat it haters, Even more soild stuff coming to D3. Like i said at the very start. Rome wasnt built in a day, D2 sucked intill LoD came out for it, It took WoW 7 years but they finally got transmog. I dont get where people think games are going to be perfect at launch. Nice to see i was right again, but hey thats allways for me
Hell, I don't know, maybe because people expect to pay for a finished product, and not have a company use its customers as beta testers, especially when they DID have a beta (which only went to lvl13 but that was THEIR choice) and supposedly had internal testing.
Yeah....people and their weird concepts of finished products.....
Let it be a lesson to all game companies: if you truly want to test your game before launching it (and not just say that you tested it), hire some hardcore gamers, give them a couple of months to play the game to the max, make them write down every single little thing wrong with it, make them sign NDA's, then fix the damn thing. And THEN release it.
Sadly, this is how all products are being made now. Get the product out there as quick as possible to get some money, then have the users of the product find all the bugs and release a patch.
Lots cheaper than paying engineers.
I might be showing my age, but I remember when a product was released, it worked, right out of the box.
Pre-internet days, a manufacturer would test a product extensively prior to release as a recall was costly, in money and reputation.
You should check out Path of Exile. It's very refreshing and is successfully going strong against the grain.
This is the first time I've checked out anything Diablo 3 in several months, as I've been enjoying PoE far too much to care about Blizzard shenanigans anymore. After checking out this new blog out of boredom, I can't believe a solution for D3 still hasn't been found yet. At this rate, it'll take 5 years for Diablo 3 to get up to par, and PoE will have already experienced a full release and 5 expansions (all free and already planned/promised).
I never thought Blizzard would be the thing that killed my interest in the Diablo franchise.

If i could i would get down on my knees and beg them to remove the cap.
Yeahhhh, so people could start finding legendaries left and right! Then, the economy could go to **** and gold will be reduced to nothing, just like in D2! What a great idea.
I played D1 and D2 as much as anyone else. That isn't a relevant point to make and it doesn't help your credibility, as D1, D2, and D3 are similar, but extremely different games.
Wait and give it a try. I'm sure this **** is going to be awesome.

No, no, no... far, far less than 1%
1.9% of characters have unlocked Inferno difficulty
Oh no, an inconsistency (even though Bashiok has stated many times before that he doesn't necessarily fact check before sharing information because it would take forever to respond back)
And 1.9% is ridiculously low anyway. That means 98.1% haven't unlocked Inferno mode. Get over it.

This pretty much sums up my reaction.
Mar 9, 2012MAldenB posted a message on Diablo III PvP Update - PvP Arena System PostponedI find this really disappointing... but on the other hand, somehow, I think they made the right decision.Posted in: News
I'm not saying this because I want to play the game ASAP (though I do); I think that, since PvP really seemed lacking, and that since it's probably the biggest part of D3 that is holding up things, it isn't right to push back the release date since a lot of people won't even play PvP.
I can't speak for everyone, but for me, PvP becomes interesting at the very end of the game when you want to take a break from gear hunting. That happened in both D2 and WoW, and if it's going to take a while to play through all the acts and difficulties, and experience each character, PvP Arenas will be out in a patch by that time.
It's really disappointing that they cut yet another feature, especially a feature that draws a large portion of players (as a lot of people suspected they would, whether jokingly or seriously), but I think I'm okay with their decision. If the PvP system is pretty done, just not as done as they feel appropriate for release, giving them extra time on that while we dive into PvE and everything sounds like a good idea to me. Let's hope they really make it up to us with some crazy PvP implementations later.
