Anyone who says THud doesn't give an advantage, doesn't really know how to use THud. There is a reason every serious player uses it. The ability to shave time off a rift when the whole goal is to do the hardest rift by a time limit pretty much tells you why every top player uses it.

Give me D4. I want an entirely new game, and something other than Rifts, rifts, and more rifts in a game.

It's gonna be fun to speed run the season journey in season12. I imagine if the season starts on a Friday, we'll see a post on Saturday somewhere with someone stating they are done with the season journey.

Yea with so many viable build upcoming for season 12.

UE DH for me this season it will rock, did a solo 85 in 4:30 min on PTR HC
Yep, most of those old T10 viable speedrunning builds that kind of ran out of power for T13 will be back to T13 speed running shape. Most of those Sage builds that were maybe T10 or T11 viable but ran out of steam will be T13 viable. You're going to be swimming in gear so early in the process. As soon as one of the legendaries drops that doubles the damage, it will be another free Torment's worth of loot and xp, and even if it is a sub 70 drop, it can be destined for cubing.
I kind of hope they don't raise Torment levels, so pub T13 queues actually have more contributors and less leechers.

I suspect balancing would be a lot easier if all of these items and skills didn't "add 10000% damage to the <xyz condition>"

Did D2 have this level of power creep?

Massive Damage in D2 was maybe 50K. I have no idea why you need Trillions of damage in a game. You might wear something you got at level 20 for 50 levels if you played Solo Self found.

and STILL ITS NOT ENOUGH. even if you have all those items, grasp of the dead will not do any noticible damage to a monster from GR 30 or higher. it cant kill anything at all.

see, thats why i say graps of the dead were aimed to be part of the existing meta but it isnt. this is clearly result of a terrible design.

You really wonder if there just isn't a QA department, or if they are completely incompetent, and also if designers are unable to use a spreadsheet to model this stuff. They spend so much time adding new items with new features, and some of those items have no prayer of making any real impact to gameplay because the damage is sometimes order of magnitudes lower than meta damages. They are just wasting their time coming up with some of those items in the first place.

posted a message on Time to buff solo??

I don't think there is any question they should reduce the gap between xp and items gained in group vs playing solo. Forcing people into pugs pretty much seems to have the effect of pushing people out of the game once their RL friends leave.

Or, they could do what PoE did this league. Make a completely separate ladder for characters that have spent 100% of the time Solo, self found.

posted a message on Solo vs group play

It's pretty much what PoE did this league. They made a "Solo Self Found" league, both hardcore and softcore, with separate ladders for the SSF and the non-SSF players. Solo players can't group or trade, but have separate competitive ladders.

You can always quit the SSF league with a character, and move to the equivalent normal league if you get tired of playing totally solo.

I thought it was a great idea, and a lot of people seem to enjoy it.

Do you even know what T Hud does? It doesn't automate anything nor improve the skill of the person playing, which means you still have to know how to play the game. Its funny because blizz has incorporated things that turbo hud has used in the past. If you don't want to use it don't, but this addon is very helpful. Ever played WoW? I would venture to say that 99% of players use addons in that game and just make the game experience more enjoyable which is what THuD does for many users.

If it does not improve your skill, so why do you even use it?

They seem to care about the UI more than blizzard does.. Sure the map overlay with elite locations when near is a bit over board, but the graphics overlay for the most part make D3 MUCH more fun, I hope blizzard stays active to the point where hud is not needed.
Want to know why we have a fetish icon and count? I would credit hud as it had a fetish count 6+ months prior to blizzard adding.
How about current/total dps? I bet sooner or later if blizzard stops being lazy they will add that as well, It's very helpful especially when trying new items/builds
How about a display of all of your crafting materials and keys in your inventory? Oh Hud had that for 6+ months prior to blizzard as well.
Of course the real reason most top groups used it was maphack, as well as things like telling you how much mob xp in percent was near you.
Always funny to watch a stream and someone say "there's 2 percent here" or whatever.

I'd love Lost Ark to be a hugely successful new game, but my guess is it will be another overhyped Korean bomb.

posted a message on Why does not diablofans.com make a news about the frustration of diablo gamers?
    Quote from TheHulk2014»

    Hello,

when I read through the Blizzard Forum and this forum I can see one big thing. Frustration!

About the communication between Blizzard and us, about the PTR, about the changes , etc...

But Diablofans.com ( which is my favorite Community D3 Website ) ignoring that in my opinion. You have the power to change something maybe. For example to write a big news about this.

Or is this website supported and paid by Blizzard and you have not the freedom to do that?

I think a lot of folks realize that Blizzard doesn't want to talk about changes because Blizzard doesn't want to focus on new D3 content. I think they are much more interested in their other projects, that have ongoing revenue streams, or maybe even D4 which won't be around for years and years. It's tough to keep ongoing communication when your real message is "We really aren't doing much and D3 isn't really a top priority for us".

Luckily for me that PoE keeps cranking out lots of new content every league with less than a hundred employees, and they are pretty much the defacto leader in the ARPG genre these days.
