I must have missed this somewhere. What are they doing to the skill system to make it new? Are they adding differently abilities or are they just changing damage? Thanks!
we don't know.
Since they changed runestones and runestones greatly affect skills, they had to meddle with skills somewhat.
We'll know soontm
Ohh ok Thanks! People seem so excited for the change, I thought they new what is was already... Hopefully it doesn't dissapoint

I do like the idea of not having specific gear just for PVP and I agree that they are, and should, focus on the main game now.

What about a way of wagering gold on a match before it starts? It wouldn't be mandatory but I think it would be a cool option to give people a motive for playing or winning. Just a thought and wanted to see what others thought.

I have a pretty decent system and my computer always shows 60.0. I run on all high settings and everything maxed out with resolution at 2048 by 1152. Occasionally it might drop down to 50 fps
I'm trying to see if it has a max of 60fps for the in-game fps calculator.
Thanks!

I agree with you on this. D2 they listed on the spell the damage range. This might be a good idea for Blizzard to do, maybe even if it is just the more complex explanation of the spell (I know there is a word for this but can't think of it).
Thanks for clearing this up. I like the idea of IAS is also the same faster cast rate. It gives it a much simpler approach.
The best, and clearest way would be if they listed the damage now on the spell itself (magic or physical) and every time you changed out your weapon or gear, you could hover over it to see exactly what it shows.

Also, does increased attack speed help a witch doc or wizard cast their spells faster? Or is there something else for that?

I know this works on my PC. I don't know why it wouldn't work on a mac since it is an in game feature. Let me know though!

If they are in your shared stash, you sell from there.
I understand the lazy thing. It just seems they are trying to make everything as easy as possible. I'm glad they make you go back to town to sell stuff now. I think once the game comes out I won't be crafting between characters as much. Since it is the beta, I hop between guys alot.

Has anyone else thought this or maybe you can think of a reason against it?

Well that is too bad! I'm sure they have something that makes it so they level up then when you aren't using them. And if they don't, I'm sure they will fix it somehow.

Did I read right that the followers only are usable when you solo? So if you play with a friend most of the way, when you do go to solo, your follower will be a very low level since you have been in a party most times? Maybe they are doing something to counter that or like in Diablo 2, you could buy a pre-leveled (though not all the way leveled) merc.
Hopefully the follower still collects exp when you are in a party and they are sidelined.

Maybe the way I stated earlier was confusing, but if I remember right when you did a /players 8 in diablo 2, it made the game act as if 8 people were in that game. It made the monsters harder but they gave you more experience every time you killed them. Also, the rate at which items dropped was higher since the game thought there were 8 people. It has been a while since I did that, so I could be way off. I think from what I gather from the couple comments is it sounds like they completely changed that in D3 so it isn't the case.
With that being said, I really like the idea of getting bonus experience for killing guys faster.

I always liked this in D2 to get more drops/XP and I didn't have to deal with people or have to try to find a full game and people would just leave.
