    posted a message on Dervish and Sand Dweller One Shot reflect mechanic

    Guys I just want to give you all a heads up on the Dervish and Sand Dweller One Shot reflect mechanic. I have been testing out the Shadow Mantle set with the new Holy Point Shot quiver on the PTR. If you strike a Dervish and Sand Dweller within the their spinning radius, you will instantly proc your cheat death passive. Both of these mob types, whether they are elite or white mobs are extremely dangerous, especially in HC. I really hope that Blizzard will dial down the reflected damage that these deal. In the mean time please be very careful and aware of their presence. Its unfortunate, but the best course of action is probably to make a hasty skip when encountering them if you play Shadow Impale next season.

    posted a message on Lightning Hydra Wizard is the best new build for Season 10 Boss Kills

    As has been demonstrated the hydra is OP for killing RG's. There is a good chance that it will get nerfed before patch 2.5.0 goes live. By doing so it will make it less clear as to which of the 3 options for RG killers is best and therefore maintain some diversity for that position in the 4man meta next patch. Personally I prefer there to be more options so this would be a good thing in my estimation. The end result should not mean that hydra is not viable, but that it should not be so clearly better than the other options as to shut them out.

    @truerasp,

    I agree that primal ancients are not visual at first, but when hover over a primal it does a give a cool red border with teeth braided in, and therefore visually stands out in a cool way. But the most important aspect about primal ancients is that they are rare and potentially perfect, the best you can get, end game gears. Because of this, they will be coveted and worthy to be sought after. I've been around this game from the beginning and see how people grind out even the smallest improvement or advantage. Primal Ancients will be no different, players will want them and grind till they find them.

    @DanielSPoA,

    Well it seems that we can agree that patch 2.5.0 will bring some welcome changes to the game that many will enjoy.

    The point of contention seems to be Primal Ancients. I think the main issue with them seems to be dashed hopes/expectations. I can certainly see how this would ruffle feathers and leave a bad taste in many's mouth. That being said, I feel that even in their current iteration, primals will be something that, despite not being a significant power jump over a well rolled non primal ancient, will be sought after and farmed for. I liken primal ancients in a way to a rare really sought after cosmetic, say cosmic wings. Those do not increase the power of players in the field of battle, but are farmed for and highly coveted my many. In that sense I feel that primals will give the player something to seek out, while at the same time not breaking the game for those who have not yet gotten them. Those with merely well rolled non primal ancient items will still feel good about their items, while at the same time, still look forward to 'perfection' when it comes. Overall I feel this is a nice balance to strike, but I do appreciate that there are many that will still feel a let down.

    Don't discount the QoL changes that will be brought in patch 2.5.0. They are a real and noticeable improvement to the game. Also, the change to Primals was much needed, as it will feel very good to get one, while not making you feel really bad if you don't. The maps that spawn in GR's are noticeably better than on live, giving a much improved experience. Bad maps still exist, but don't dominate as they do now. Then there are several buffs to various sets to help improve the diversity of builds that are viable to play. I am especially excited for Shadow Impale DH with the newly buffed Holy Point Shot quiver. Not only will DH's get a great newly viable build to play in general, but it will finally open up the group meta to DH, a class that has been left out in the cold for a very long time. All in all, patch 2.5.0 will bring a lot of welcome changes to the game that I think most will really appreciate.

    posted a message on Trouble adding quotes and editing comments

    So when I go to edit a comment that I have previously posted there only appears the header info like paragraph, colors, indentations, ect, but no black box to write to txt.

    when I try to quote, reply to someone else's comment, it has a lot of black open space above that is blank, and when I type out a comment and try to post it gives an error and will not allow it.

    Now what I can do its just post a general comment, but not quote, reply. Please advise, thanks.

    Tonight I tried to quote a comment to reply and the text editor does not function properly to allow this. Also when trying to edit an existing comment I am having the same problem. Not sure if this is only happening to me or if others are also experiencing the same issue. If its something wrong on the diablofans website, I hope its fixed soon.

    I have not been able to place the Dawn and RRoG in the cube section of the guide builder. It must be a bug and I have stated in txt below what should go in cube, but it would be nice if this is corrected soon.

    I had zero issues, though i played only solo. To me it looks more like some options are not working correctly - i have everything maxed out and didn't get any issue, but again, i played solo.

    Yeah on PTR I did not have any issues when playing solo. It was only when I partied up that I starting having the fps lag. The larger the party the more fps lag I would get.

    I keep dropping to below 10 FPS where before this update I had 80+

    I hope its fixed before the new season starts because this is un-playable.

    Again, all you have to do is go out to the battlenet launcher and have it start d3 in the 32 bit client. This will fix the frame drops until they fix the 64 bit client.

    posted a message on Am I the only lagging on new client?

    The 64 bit client is not working properly. It did not work right on PTR either. When playing solo it seems to do fine, but as you add players to the party, the fps lag gets progressively worse. From what I notices using gpu-z, the gpu utilization is very inconsistant and drops to low levels frequently. So the game does not seem to be loading the gpu fully when using the 64 bit client while playing in a party. Changing back to the 32 bit client seems to solve the problem. Hopefully Blizzard will resolve the issue as the graphics do look noticeably better in 64 bit, just not good enough to deal with the fps lag.

    Shadow set will a great starter set for DH and has the ability to speed farm when u incorporate the vault belt. Later once the pieces are obtained, UE Danetta's Grenades will be off the charts for speeding.

    Wow, this build looks like it will be insanely fun to play... Thanks for all of the advice guys! Hopefully a few people come in and play each of your build recommendations.
    Its very fun. Once the season goes live, I imagine you will see it in use. Here is a link to the T13 Rift I just ran.
