It was a near vote for Rolling into stuff but I had to go for couch co-op. As someone who loves to play co-op with his friends, going online has nothing against sitting right next to each other. Besides, it also makes it easier because we all don't need the hardware and a copy of the game.Posted in: News & Announcements

Hey all. I doubt anybody remembers me, I was here in the months leading up to the D3 release. Well, after several setbacks I finally was able to get a gaming desktop and can finally play Diablo 3 (the collector's edition has been sitting on my desk since the midnight launch).Posted in: Technical Support
Well, almost. I had to skip out on a few things to keep from going completely broke...a disc drive (planned to reuse one, turns out there's no IDE ports on my motherboard. Have to get a SATA disc drive.), a new hard drive, and an OS. Can't reuse my old one apparently without formatting it.
I remember people being banned for using Linux/Wine. How are those bans going? Where they lifted and did it stop happening, or did they turn out not to be real bans and that people were cheating? Thanks for any answers.
Oops, meant to put this in the Technical Support forum...sorry!

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from FlurThe release date is not going to be in April. Sorry guys, I don't see Blizzard not allowing two months of head room for a release. They love those two months. It's going to be either May or June. I stick by my original thought which is May 16th 2012. Obviously this is a Wednesday, but I have my reasons.
Well, the majority of the CE's items are probably complete (the making of DVD/Blu-Ray was probably completed only a short while ago, if not closing now) and since the game is always online, they could afford to risk having a small update on first-run*, so the discs could have been in production for a few weeks already.
*There aren't any serious updates coming before release, since the delaying of PVP. Creating the game discs now and having a small update when you're done installing the game won't take up too much time, if any for a lot of people, as I believe they said they were going to have pre-downloaders available.
I'd say at best, depending on the amount of updates there are going to be when we start, the release could be between early April and mid-May. If the game has a ton of updates at first-run (the discs were printed months ago) the game could come out early April, if not before.

I'd want there to be two factions to choose from, each with similar classes. Your characters can be either an angel or demon and you have to fight the now-prevalent Nephalem race, defeating their strongest and key warriors. Depending on your character's faction, you also have to fight angels or demons, as well as the Nephalem's created creatures, and the classes we've played as throughout the years (Necromancers, Witch Doctors, Barbarians, Assassin's...etc., etc). The story's characters also changes depending on your character, but locations and the majority of roles and quests are the same.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The gameplay style is much the same as the rest of the Diablo series, except for online play the two factions can't play together. The game should also incorporate things from lightly touched Diablo lore, such as a fight with Bartuc the Bloody's spirit/armor and a battle with Trag'Oul (or whatever the great Dragon's name is) as he extends part of himself into the physical world to stop the balance from being thrown off completely.

I had a dream about a cross between Legend of Zelda and Elder Scrolls Oblivion last night...I sure hope that's coming, one day.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I think they tried that once, but it quickly became a hassle trying to create so many animations for every weapon class.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

This is what I think about whenever I see someone complaining about Diablo 3's development taking too long or that they have to wait three whole months to play it or they didn't into the Beta again even though they totally deserve it and are a super-fan.Posted in: Off-Topic
Rage all you want, I don't care. To anyone agreeing with me, I agree with you.

Download the files from Blizzard's website/store and run the install/download packs in compatibility mode. Just doing it to the game when loading it won't work.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Or you could use Glide and see if that works. It's usually used for the color problems, but it may help.
