Yes. This is for anything where the bulk of your damage is cooldown based. Attack speed gives 0 benefit to those skills.

To restate this point that cularic is making and I dont think enough players grasp yet. Sheet damage does not give a true representation of actual dps. What weapon you use relies heavily on your build. You can indeed test this with many abilities. As a crusader for example, get 2 evenly matched yellow weapons. A say mid dps 2200 1h and a low dps 2200 2h. Cast a Falling Sword with each of them a few times. The dps gain on the 2h should be noticable but perhaps not significant. Now imagine (or test if you have it available) a great dps 2400 1h vs a great dps 2900 2h. The dps of those high cd abilities does become significant. Note so does a stat which very few people are putting effort into stacking, cooldown reduction. A little bit goes a very long way.

My Falling Sword currently crits for 25 million. On a 20 second cd that equates to 1.25 million dps. Bu5 I have gotten my self to right around 25% cdr making it a 15 second cd and increasing its effective dps to 1.66 million. 25% cdr effectively increased my dps of 1 of my abilities by 400k and my character by quite a bit more. Cdr is a huge stat to consider when using 2 handers.

Another thing to watch out for when making a 2h cd build ... attack speed is a deceptively useless stat. Reforge out of it.

As a crusader I can say with some certainty that if 2h were much stronger it would feel broken.
Not having played a Crusader at max level, I was wondering what your thoughts were on how much of a sacrifice it is to dedicate one passive slot to the ability to main-hand a two-handed weapon?

e.g. if you had an almost-as-good one-handed weapon, how much benefit would you get from taking a "fourth best" passive to replace Heavenly Strength?I
if we are talking yellow weapons, 2h is hands down worth the passive. Legs on the other hand, there some interesting 1h build changers. It all depends on what you find and how you make it work.

As a crusader I can say with some certainty that if 2h were much stronger it would feel broken. My wizard friend and I have both done dps benchmarks against ghom in reasonably similar gear. I only came out about 500k dps behind him. We have very close sheet dps, I am at 840 he is at 870. What you really need to watch and balance is the fact that his sheet toughness is 5 million where mine is 14. I think the dps is right around where it should be.

I also play in a group where the vacuum helps a lot, gonna see how it works with the new shield, new shield reduces my cd's by 1 sec every time I block.

If I play on t1 I get rid of the def passives and such, but t2 and higher I feel like the defensive abilities are needed, I just got a new shield though, and will be changing my build a bit around it.

This will not happen, there are reasons to use a 2 hander for builds, and not just on crusaders. People worry to much about there sheet damage and neglect raw weapon damage. Most WD or Wiz will never give up a source and I dont blame them, things like apoc or mana regen are extremely useful. There are diabos and 2 handers for monks and barbs though that are build changers and work extremely well.

There's my current profile, anyone have any advice on spec changes they would make? Right now it works very well, the fire chains from the demon wrecks face. Obviously to continue this build is very gear dependent. An anderial with 20% fire would be the biggest upgrade i think. Certain things are not displayed correctly in the armory, the neck for example doesnt have a socket, I rerolled it to 94% crit dmg.

posted a message on Announcing the DiabloFans "Site Update" Beta, Diablo 3 For PS3 and Xbox 360 Giveaway
I voted for Loot 1.5, but it was a close race between loot, offline and no AH.

Offline mode and no AH are both nice for a very specific reason, and that is playing Diablo the way it should be played, If you want to get the most out of this ARPG. The countless hours you get from playing self-found in Diablo, is unmatched, being able to sit down, at anytime, and slaughter hordes of demons, not worrying about how much gold you have, not worrying about how much something is worth, to someone else. All that matters is how much it is worth to you. But I decided on Loot 1.5, because without it, the other two items in my list, would have failed.

How long did it take you to see your first orangeish brown sparkle on the ground when Diablo 3 was released? Personally I didn't see mine until I was farming Inferno Act 1 for about 1 month. This game was broken when it was released, and while they have indeed fixed a lot of those issues, the loot in the console version has far exceeded my dreams for how I would like to play this game. On my journey leveling I managed to pick up a good 50 or more legendaries from 1-60. The beam of light shining down from the heavens is always exciting, because 9 times out of 10, you are about to receive an upgrade, or at least, a side grade. Leveling this way is extremely fun, it gives a sense of accomplishment and progression. Once you hit 60 and begin to pump out paragon levels, the drops certainly slow down a little, but are still frequent enough that you want to play the game. You want to kill that next pack. You get excited each time you see a chest. This is what Diablo is about for me, killing dirty rotten demons, bathing in their blood, and grabbing all of the shiny loot.

I will say that another option that should be listed in the vote, is shared paragon levels. Because lets face it, grinding out paragon levels once is enough while there is the cap in place. RoF bringing no cap paragon levels will be great, a constant reason to play.

I am interested in another copy of the game for XBOX360, my father has come over quite a few times to enjoy local coop with me but has yet to pick up the game for himself, it would be a nice early Christmas present for him.

    whimsy exists in inferno

Ok, then here's a noob question: I have the Hellish Staff, which I had to enter Inferno to get (the Plans). How do i make an Inferno staff (or is the Hellish staff useable in Inferno already). I'm horribly confused.

You buy the plans in inferno act 4, from the same vendor you bought the plans from in hell and nightmare. The only plan you find is the normal staff, from izual. You did not enter inferno to buy the hell plan, i think you are remembering incorrectly, hell plan is bought on hell difficulty.

Yea that comment is ridiculous, in fact all of the complaints about prices falling drastically are. The current best gear rolls in the game, are still going to pretty darn good, and still semi rare. I expect a drop of maybe max 25% in price in the first few weeks to months. By the time a real expansion hits with new gear, it might have dropped 50% but you should have expected a price drop by that time anyway just due to the fact that gear always will drop, so the market will continue to flood.
