posted a message on BlizzCon gives Diablo no love or no news...
    Quote from Gonan»

Sorry to say but 2.6.1 patch is the final nail in the coffin for D3.

Isn't it fascinating from a pure human observation perspective of how D3 players run the entire gamut? It's no different than how the entire human condition displays itself on a regular basis. I happen to be a Mac user. For whatever reason, that fact alone infuriates some people. Joe Blow says, "Macs are overpriced pieces of sh*t!" Joe's neighbor, however, says: "If you like Macs, great. Whatever works for you." I also happen to eat a ketogenic diet. Another lightning rod for some people. Joe Blow with veins bulging from his neck and pounding his keyboard types furiously..."You're going to kill yourself eating so much fat!" But, my doctor as he is looking at my latest blood test happily tells me, "wow...this is clearly working. Nice job."
So, on the one hand, you have the trolls like Mr. Gonan above who want to simply jump on the dogpile and crap on D3, encouraging all of us that the game is dead. But, then there are the streamers, the developers, the players and mods like Bagstone on sites like this who put in lots of time...people who clearly love the game and are positive. I bought my BlizzCon virtual ticket and enjoyed every minute. No D4 announcements? Who cares? I watched some great high-level WoW arena matches, Starcraft pvp, a Muse concert, and yes, a nice D3 community panel.
I am very excited to begin season 12. Good luck and have fun all season players. :)

The only requirement for the green set dungeon pylon to appear is having all 6 pieces of a set. No bounties required.

Doing the CRift does nothing with your char. You play a completely different char. So you'll still be level 1 when you go ingame and collect your cache. Might want to check this out or just play the current CRift for this week to get a feel for it, if your haven't done any yet.
Oh, good lord. Of course. Lol. *stands in the corner*

Of course, you won't be level 1 anymore once a new toon does a challenge rift at the beginning of the season and cashes in to get the Blood Shards to gamble. But, I am assuming you'd still be pretty low (under level 10?).

Holy crap, I had no idea a Challenge rift nets you that much gold. Any idea how many Deaths Breath you get?

For the few Challenge rifts I have completed they have always been solo attempts -- I have never been in a group. And my standard operating procedure for my little clan at the outset of a season is to always do bounties and rifts. I suppose the 4 of us could all do one Challenge rift before doing anything else. That would be easier, yes?

Lol...reminds me of the open area heading to Adria the first time and those stupid pools. I'm like..."holy crap, what just killed me?"

Sounds like a Monk is your best bet because you have the ranged Sunwuko Wave of Light build that you can solo with and then you have the group support Inna's healing build.

posted a message on What Should D4 Look Like? (when it comes out 15+ years from now)

You're right...I got my antagonist and protagonist terms mixed up :). But, that aside...think about it...we're talking demonic possession of a person. A temporary possession. That's the key here. Temporary. What the hell has gender of a potential host have to do with it? *Diablo talking to New Tristram residents...* "Okay, everyone, drop your pants ...gotta take a quick peek before I decide who to possess." And look at the Terminator movie series - you got Arnold as the baddie in #1; he's good in #2, but you still have a male as a baddie; then in #3 you have the female baddie.

"Turning Diablo female." Lol. Good one...like the gender of the main protagonist is written down somewhere as a law to be always followed.

posted a message on Diablo MMO/ARPG?

I would LOVE to see a well done D3 MMO and would happily cough up $15/month for it. In fact, I would argue that most would prefer that route simply because even if D4 is "better" than D3...how much better could it be if it's not an MMO? It's still going to be limited in its scope. It's going to be very very similar to what we all have been playing forever. But, once you go the MMO route I think the potential and breadth of what they could do is really exciting.

posted a message on Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer

My point was this -- you'll put x number of hours into Challenge rifts, the Necro class, etc -- all the new content in 2.6. It's going to be a lot of time over the long haul so does it really matter if it's $20, $30, or $40?

I'd be fine with $40. That's what the Crusader expansion was. Would anyone really NOT get this if it was $40? $20? 30$ 40$ -- In the grand scheme of how much time you will be putting into Challenge rifts, and a brand new class, how can $40 be too much money compared to $20?

posted a message on D3 duration and price

Yeah D3 vs. POE is just another of the billion examples of how combative and polarized so many people are: conservatives vs. liberals, Macs vs. PCs, Ford vs. Chevy, whites vs. blacks, straight vs gay...it just never ends. People put blinders on.
