I'm sure it will be able to solo to a point, probably around inferno you will have to find a party. Then again why would you want to; diablo is more fun with friends and even if you don't have any a pickup group will do fine. Diablo is meant to be enjoyed with others between all the Oh shit moments and killing bosses.
My fondest memory of Diablo 2 was the sheer brutality of it. I was a careless noob who was new to online MMO's and Diablo 2 definitely opened my eyes. I can still remember all of the times I was SCAMMED by punks because I didn't know any better. From the "Oh want to join my guild? Drop all your gear first gag" to the "oh drop your gear outside of town so I know I can trust you and they teleport over with an amulet." Diablo 2 hardened me to the battle tested gamer I am today. I even came up with my own grieving, such as opening TP's with countless hydra's waiting on the otherside for my unsuspecting fellow hardcore players; only to hostile and melt their faces when they noticed too late.
I don't even attempt those contests, because I know how crazy Blizzard fans can be. For Starcraft II they had these contests on facebook where you had to decipher beta codes and there were like 20-30 keys per wave. Long story short I never got one; even when they posted the codes freaking upside down.
I would love to play beta because, for once I would like to be part of the select few who get to experience content before everyone else. Its like an exclusive club which I am never invited to. Also it would just make me that much more amped and excited for Diablo III. To be able to play Diablo III has become more of an obsession than a blessing now.
Wow that would be amazing. I mean how many MMO's have we honestly played where we had to level by killing NPC's over and over. It would definitely be a nice change of pace to be killing REAL players for EXP.
I'm not complaining because what blizzard has come up with is game shattering. Making real MONEY while playing the game which I love so dearly. What else can a boy ask for?
Wow that is simply amazing! I love the dimensions and depth that is added through your shadows. Simply brilliant work; that is REAL dedication right there.
I check my battle.net account everyday to no avail. Whenever I log on and see that I was not invited to beta a little piece of me breaks inside. If i had a jar for every tear I shed because I wasnt invited to beta, I could fill a whole ocean.
Well the combined ability to farm with AoE spells and the wide variety of CC will definately put Wizards near the top if not the top. I believe we will see Sorc 2.0 in the near future. I love how blizzard did not revamp the Sorc but created a fresh new class with unique abilites.
Personally i've always hated the idea of "runs". I do love the idea that rare monsters dropping PHAT LEWTZ. It just makes me want to push through content instead of rushing things.
