The other video demonstrates his almost 7 minute fight with the Skeleton King.
All this video does is show it to be a complete waste of time for MP10 in normal. He took 7 minutes for 1 yellow and a blue? You can do that in any mode.
The point of playing in MP10 normal (or any other lower difficulty) is not for efficency, it's for challenge. You will get more efficient leveling using a fairly low MP as you can still kill quickly and get 20% XP gain per MP level. I imagine MP 2 or 3 might be the most efficent for someone just running through with no twink gear. This could be increased if you have some gear on reserve for that character.
As for item finding, unless you're in act 3/4 in Hell or in Inferno, I don't see many people careing or using MP for item hunting. Not unless you want to take a lvl 60 into MP10 and farm for low level legendaries for an alt or something.

Wow, this is shocking.
How are people agreeing with a nerf more than not???
I think Blizzard finally succeeded in brainwashing people.
EDIT: Clearing up for clairty and after re-reading the original.
I think it's about being reasonable. You can't just buff everything, if you do, there'd be nothing left and everything would be trivial. I think people are finally starting to realize you sometimes have to bring things down in order to maintain balance. Otherwise they'd then have to buff the monsters all over again and we'd start seeing ridiculous numbers and values all becuase no one wanted to see the word "nerf".

MP10 in normal is to level faster, imo very usefull if you want to start a new char.
Not entirely true. MP10 appears to be for challenge more than anything else. There's even a thread here in Diablofans that shows it's not efficient even though you have higher levels for the content that you're at. If you were to twink out a character, then maybe it could be efficient.

Also, legendary crafting materials are very specific to a location if you manage to find the pattern. There's a huge thread here that goes over their locations and how to farm them, so I think a middle ground has been added.

This is the last of the pre-recorded videos from my 4 hour (or so) play session. I repeated a couple topics I think, perils of recording so long in one sitting. I'm going to be gathering all the feedback from this and all the last 3 before I go into the next one to make a decision on how I'll be progressing.

I think you underestimate the power of the followers now. They've had some massive buffs. I personally like to play solo over group unless it's with friends and I've felt the exact same way as the OP. I even put out some rants on the subject as I felt I just couldn't help gear my follower unless they wore the same kind of gear I did. I had suggested that crafters had an option to change the primary stat focus on the UI. A simple option that would favor you or your follower, sadly, that option never got implemented.
I also miss the ability to find a really cool item for an alt. I still see some items for other classes drop from time to time, but it's not quite like finding that unique or set item that only really worked for a sorceress. I can live with it, but I still think it's a bit much sometimes.

Good question. Honestly it's going to be a "when I can do it" kind of thing, hopefully much more frequently than once a month. Problem is that since November I've been sick in some capacity and it's been worse lately as I have a digestive condition that may have been onset by diabetes which causes me to get ill from time to time. Add in stress from work lately and you can see it's been hard to stay on track That all being said, I'm keeping it in stride, doing my best, and I've got the next episode uploaded already
Thank you, sir! I've been wanting to do a full blown rant with him for a while now.
And now, I present you with the next one!

Notice: I will post my latest releases as replies into this thread as usual.
For those who don't know me, I am KageKaze. I create guides and tutorials on YouTube for several games and even have a newer "Diablo Digest" podcast for D3. I take a look at the current news for Diablo and try to break it down into into easily digestible bits and throw in my own thoughts about what current changes to the game mean for not only us, but for Diablo and Blizzard as well. Aside from that I do Analytical Playthroughs (okay so it's just a glorified Let's Play) on games and betas
Post Updated 8/17/14
So what did I miss? Well there were 2 Crusader updates and 1 Witch Doctor, all provided below for your perusal. I also provided a link to the Dance emote video I made just because it's silly and I used the old April Fools Deckard Cain Rap that not every modern Diablofan might have heard before. Lastly, while it might be late, I've finally finished my full Hellfire Ring/Amulet guide updated for 2.1.0. The previous version came out late as well, but it's still being referenced to this day (recently even seeing more traffic than usual) so I wanted to make sure I had a version that matched the new information. Feedback always welcome, otherwise please enjoy!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest this "doubling" is only temporary due to the gambling change because of split farming. Look at how he worded it, it's so that testers can continue to get what they need to.. y'know.. test.

Thanks to everyone's comments so far, to address some specific issues:
What's odd about this decision is that it completely reverses a problem they tried to fix awhile back. They didn't like that players were zerging elites so they added enrage timers and made the mobs restore health. If they didn't like it then, why would they make it something that's even easier to do now? I'm glad they don't have enrage timers anymore and I'm on the fence about the regenerating health, but even without those I think it wasn't in a bad spot on live.
Specifically, very shortly after posting the video several really good comments were made on YouTube and I wanted to make sure I posted the video in as many location as I could to maximize the possibility it might be seen by a Blizzard rep and to increase the discussion. I was planning on putting this on the D3 official forums (linked above) anyway, but the excellent comments are what spawned this thread and a post on Reddit as well.
