I'm from the camp that says there should be no hot-swapping, which I believe the ridiculous cooldown timer sort of solves. I say sort of because I did swap a skill during a boss fight. I swapped just before Belial's final form in Inferno, pre-nerf. The penalty was I was missing a very handy skill for a bit, and it got pretty nasty. So, the timer is fine from a basic "what skills can I use right now" standpoint.
Before Diablo 3 was released, I was excited about NV and how skill changes wipe the buff. Well, after playing the game a few months I feel it's not the final compromise. I believe skill changes should either remove one NV stack or put all existing stacks on a short cooldown.

Quit babying the player base. We don't need the nerfs to monster damage to be so aggresive that in the long run we're taking "less damage than before". That is something that I DO NOT WANT. Blizzard is trying too hard to appease whiners and they're starting to cross the line into making D3 a boring game. Please stop now....
If "players x" is too easy, and the Infernal Machine is too easy, then you'll have a real argument. -

The amount of community backlash for such a minor error is overwhelming. Particularly, the arguing the semantics of "bug" or, let's say, "screw up" is just ridiculous. Only half-assed comprehending the first paragaph of the original Blizzard post should convey, regardless of semantics, that the change was unintended.Posted in: News
Also, building your character completely around a new balance change (or any single skill for that matter) is just setting yourself for heartache. This game is actively patched for balance. If you've played any online game in the last five years where the core of the multiplayer component is to compare e-peens, then you should be up to speed on this style of patching cycle: Is it OP? Nerf it. Is it weak sauce? Buff it.
I know you may say "That's not all! They've made TONS of mistakes!" The truth is, those of us still paying attention haven't stopped playing their game, and thankfully, they haven't stopped paying attention to us.

Before I rant, get this: I have to say movement controls can feel better (its analog) and the fact you can more easily play on your big screen is fantastic.

Why would a Diablo fan argue that it isn't "Diablo"? Blizzard won't remove any content. Its Diablo. Fans arguing it isn't "Diablo" are ignorant. I realize thats not meant to be taken literally, but how else could you take it? Of course it can't be the exact same game. Surely they aren't gonna throw in some stormtroopers here, and a few Master Chiefs over there and call it Diablo. So how is it not Diablo? Again -- it is Diablo!
Claiming it "lends itself" to consoles is just nonsensical.
At this point, you may say "What a babbling idiot! No facts! He hasn't played it on console yet! Its gotta be so much better!" Oh-ho... Hold up. I have facts.
I bet these tasks are going to be SO much easier on console! I can't wait! I'm all giddy!!! So here's whats going to be easy:
Targeting mobs at the back of groups
Looking through inventory
Managing inventory
Dealing with vendors
Stashing goods
Selecting skills
Browsing stats
Picking up loot when theres a ton of loot
Experimenting with unlimited respec
Here's a good reference for everyone. This is totally better than Diablo on PC, by leaps and bounds. YouTube video of Diablo on Playstation
Give me a break. Its going to be Menu Browser 3 unless they come up with some kind of break through in control devices. Oh wait! We have one on PC! Its called a mouse!
