posted a message on WTS iLvL 63 Chest Armor 19% MF +75 Resist All and MORE!
Looking to sell this chest piece. It is very difficult to get an accurate price for it with so few similiar items up on the AH. I'd rather RMAH it, but gold is also acceptable. Please respond with offers. I am more or less looking for its value but will be more than willing to part with it at the right price.

    +86 Dex
    +42 Physical Resist
    +75 All Resistance
    +4% Life
    +154 Armor
    +19% Magic Find

posted a message on 57 & struggling through Hell
I've done a lot of tinkering with my build I've found that running Serenity is a must in the first place. Beyond that, I'm having a lot of success using Crippling Wave, Blinding Flash, and Conviction + Rune that drops Mobs DPS by 10%.

I'm actually using a 2hander, not even 1h\shield or dual wielding and I'm chugging through Hell without much trouble.

To be completely honest I have found that you can easily overcome challenges through skill even if you're under-geared. Like timing your blind to go off right at the last second, same thing with Serenity, and constantly dodging elemental attacks.

Also, you might have a much easier time with certain champion packs with better resistances. Arcane enchanted in particular can be a pain with low resistance. What are your resists at?

I've found that getting 2-3 pieces of gear with 15-20 resist of one kind and then using the passive that makes your best resists = to all when I encounter really hard elemental champions to make them incredibly easy.

Edit: Here is my current build for reference: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#WTgYfk!YZX!ZaabZZ

My general MO is to run in, Cyclone strike all the mobs to me, get off one set of crippling wave, cast blind, another set of crippling wave, cyclone again, crippling. If i take too much damage during this process I cast Serenity when needed.

if I posted my release party check list you all would think Im crazy...
#1. Eggnog ( i flash freeze some in winter for my birthday in the summer , this counts)
    #2. Arizona drinks+vitamin water
    #3. fresh homemade scones
    #4. " mauled apple cider " ( so good)
#5. some kind of chips ? have not decided on that one .
#6. im thinking bacon or pizza... or pizza with bacon on it >_>

Mine will be something like this:
    1) String cheese
    2) Garlic triskets with muenster and spinach on top (so good)
    3) Whole cashews
    4) Blue Moon (or 312, whatever I feel like)
    5) Raison Bran crunch (if lunch doesn't cut it)
    6) Sun chips (the new creamy roasted garlic ones)
    7) ALFREDO PASTA FOR DINNER! (yes, that's a plan)

    Hell yeahhh.

I'm confused as to why you preach about people surviving on a case of Monster, but in your list the only drink you have on there is a beer. Last I checked alcohol dehydrates your body more than just about any other beverage, all the while being what did you call it before? Oh yeah, a mild poison.

Don't get me wrong. I'm actually a bartender for a living, so I have no problems with alcohol but I also don't run around preaching to people they need to take better care of their bodies, livers, or what not while I do the opposite.

Bottom line is: it's your body, do what you want with it. As long as your not putting someone else at risk (ie. alcohol coupled with driving) then I really don't care what you eat or drink.

My list personally? Dunno yet... probably a boatload of hummus, pita, and cashews. I've been on a diet pop kick lately, but I just might break down and buy a bottle or two of voltage. I sincerely wish I lived in a populated area enough that I could get a bunch of sushi put in the fridge, but around here it's not worth eating beyond immediately. I dunno, prolly some gatorade and some hot pockets for when I'm feeling lazy.

If you don't believe me just look at Starcraft II. Blizzards official announcement of the release date for July 27th on May 3rd. Do the math and you get about 85 days...
Along those lines, the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion was given a release date on October 4, 2010; the release date was December 4.

If the release date is given by the end of February, we're looking at a likely May release.

Very well could be. My main point is that the time to get actually angry at Blizzard for a "delay" or "missing the goal" is if they officially and publicly announce we're going to release the game on 'X day Y month' and then they whiff. There's no reason to expect the game to come out any sooner than when they give you a real, exact, press release, officially announced date. Projections are just that, hopes and goals.

posted a message on Activision Blizzard Q4 Conference Call
Why does everyone have their panties in a bunch over Q2? First of all they never said Q1. Second of all, Q2 STARTS April... I can't see how an April-June Window is disappointing. At least we finally got them to pinpoint a quarter. Which is better than what we've had in the past. Think about it for a second...

We've gotten "by the end of 2011" ...
    We've gotten "early 2012"
    and now we've gotten "Q2 2012".

It's getting more and more precise, and we're going to probably get an actual date announced in March. I really didn't expect anything else. I mean how could you expect something more? The game's actual release has to be AT LEAST 2 months away from an announcement because it takes that long for a game to get manufactured, boxed, and distributed after going gold. And we don't have a date right now, so it's ALWAYS at least 2 months away from whatever day it is. Ie. if they announced it tomorrow the earliest you'd see the game is April 10th. Which is in Q2...

In otherwords how could you possibly go into this conference call not fully expecting to hear something along the lines of Q2 at the minimum? You automatically set yourself up for disappointment if you thought you'd see a release before April (start of Q2) going into this conference call.

I realize we're all excited about the game, and we're super hyped up about it. But you have to look past what you "want" to happen and just look at the facts. And the fact is that the game has been looking at a Q2 release as soon as January went by with no solid release date. Always add 2 months to the potential release date announcement (ie. game going gold) and you won't get yourself psyched out.

If you don't believe me just look at Starcraft II. Blizzards officially announced the release date of July 27th on May 3rd. Do the math and you get about 85 days...

posted a message on Multi-Gaming Community?
It's been a long time since I've been a part of a large online community. The last one I was seriously apart of was my world of warcraft guild over 4 years ago. Since then, having no games I play competitively and work have driven me further and further from any such communities.

Well now Diablo 3 is on the rise, and I play a smattering of different games now. I would really like to get re-involved in a community of people online who enjoy similar games to me. I'm making this thread because I'm hoping someone here can help me find one. Maybe they're in something similar or they've heard of a good clan that sounds like what I'm looking for. (yes I've already googled it a bunch, and it's a PITA to find a decent one based on the merits of google alone)

Really I'm just looking for a medium-large sized group of people who play any combination of league of legends, SWTOR, battlefield 3, or SC2, and are looking forward to getting into Diablo 3. As far as the actual community is concerned I just want to chill with mature people who either are friendly to casual but serious players, or are just a casual clan in general. I don't mind if its a competitive clan either, just so I'm not forced to be hardcore. I don't really have the time to spend on games like that anymore.

If you know of something or are in something like this, hit me up and send me a link to where i can get in touch. I appreciate any feedback I get at all from this thread.

posted a message on Will the Monk be your 1st/Main character?
I will definitely be playing Monk first. I decided that when they first announced the class. I think my second will be either Barb or Wizard depending. The only thing that could change my mind is if I get in beta and end up enjoying the wizard more, because I think I'll enjoy those two classes equally.

In Diablo 2 I would ALWAYS play the assassin. Every time I played up to level 90 and then quit long enough for my character to get deleted when I would come back 100% of the time I would re-roll an assassin. I'm one of those guys that just loves to play the same class forever.

posted a message on Is a permenant potion button worth having?
What I'm hoping happens, and I think this will likely be the case is that the button is changed into a 'consumables' type of button. Where you can use it to activate things like scrolls the power potion, or health potions. That way it doesn't feel as much of a waste to me and at least I can customize it to say, cast companions if I'm in lower level areas gold farming and I don't want to go to my inventory to cast it.

posted a message on Azmodan and the 7 deadly sins
    Quote from Calavera666

I dont need to be at blizzard to realize that there are only seven thrones.
There are also seven lords of hell/greater evils.
No one talked about any generals at the cinematic panel.
Instead, they stated and confirmed that the three guys who turn to Leah are lesser evils.

And if both, Azmodan and Belial, kicked the prime evils out of hell, how the did Azmodan turned into the ruler of hell? Is there something about Belial being casted out of hell that I do not know? Please, enlight me.

Now, IF they've spent countless hours working on a cinematic, to make understand that the throne was Belial's, they would have putted him sitting in it. It would have been clear and extremely obvious that it was his throne, his room, and his generals. Non of that appears in the cinematic. IN FACT, he says that he desires to become the prime evil once and for all. The symbol of ascension to maximum control of hell, is the Throne. To be the ascension prime evilness, is the ascension to the Throne. They can't make it any more clearer.

Big throne, above all the rest. Is empty. Azmodan tells he plans to become ruler of hell. He plans to sit atop the highest throne of hell.

Then, why the hell would his generals be occupying the rest of the thrones, if he's not in command? In fact, why the hell would his generals look like creppy, old, pertified, smokey and dormant lords?

    If you read here: http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Azmodan

It says Azmodan beat Belial in the civil war. There's another page that says he won the civil war and ruled Hell for 300 years. I have to dig deeper to find that link, but I'll post it up here when I get home from work. It doesn't explain much as far as the thrones go, but at least it lets you know what went down between Azmodan and Belial as far as the war over Hell goes.

posted a message on Making Mantra's more "active"
    Quote from Moondude

As it stands bashiok even says he wants the ability to be more active. With this I agree, but I feel that if they buff the skill they also need to buff the passive.
-Chant of Resonance will become solely a 1 spirit per second ability. Compared with other classes equivalent this is very weak.
-Astral Presence(mage): increases arcane power by 20 and arcane power regen by 2. Making running out of power even harder to do.
-Galvanizing Ward(mage): increases duration of armors by 120seconds and adds 160 life per second.
-Inspiring Presence(barbarian): doubles the duration of shouts and while a shout is active regen 60% life per minute.
-Unforgiving(barbarian): you no longer degenerate rage and gain 1 rage every 2 seconds. From a distance this doesent look better then the monk's but the fact you no longer degenerate rage is huge for barbs.

I think you have some interesting ideas here. I might suggest though that you contribute to the discussion here : http://www.diablofans.com/topic/29452-changed-monk-skills/

Or in the other respective class forums.

    Thanks for the thoughts :-)
