I want the difficulty to be so hard that I actually die to each boss several times before I win. You can't ever hope to recreate the horror atmosphere without fearing the monsters; artwork can only go so far. I recommend this to everyone who is bitching about the game being too easy.

I plan to attempt Act 1 naked. Might do it without armor or with some retarded build (Melee Mage ftw!).

I was actually hoping this feature was going to go through! This finally makes your diablo 3 character customizable! The problem with having all the skills and being able to choose your runes is that you could finish your character very quickly. Now you have to invest many runes on your core 6-ish skills to just complete your basic build. Just like Jay Wilson said, you need a time investment or else everybody would have every option too quickly. I want to play this game 5 years after release and this balances customization and re-playability.

You can always make a game competitive, regardless of the creators intentions. For example, the beta is easy and mindless, but I felt than sense of panic and excitement i got from the hard parts of d2 when people were doing speedruns. You can always add limits to yourself to increase difficulty. If you think monsters die too fast, then use shit weapons. Demanding blizzard to increase the difficulty for you is an ironically, casual mindset. Not to mention pvp matchmaking, which will alone make it more competitive than diablo 2 ever was.
