You really need some crit and crit dmg. Sacrifice some int from your rings / bracers / amulet and find cheap vit+crit or vit+crit dmg gear.
Even if you're running with a group, you can probably dump big bad voodoo and use zombie dogs instead, they help immensly (and dogs summoned with grasp don't have the new force armor if you don't have the spell in your bars, not sure if it's fixed in 1.05). If you're running with a group, use dogs that can spawn globes when they die, otherwise, use whatever you like.
You also might want some life on hit or lifesteal from your weapon, and a socket. Even if that weapon has less dps, it'll still help you a lot to survive act 3.
Your main goal should be to get to 45k hp / 400 all resist and 40kish dps, with a lot more crit and crit damage and less intelligence. It's doable with 5 million, but you'll have to lose some core stats on some slots.
My profile is Groovy#1405 if you want to take a look (I run A3 with a barb and wiz).

You guys got it all wrong. Easiest method to get legendaries is to start farming at 1:08 (am or pm), look for a server with the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 or 42, and farm on that server no longer than 108 minutes while downloading the complete series of Lost at 108kb/s. I've done all the math, and it works. Trust me.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

As far as I can tell, Acid Cloud can crit, so it's affected by crit chance and crit dmg. I don't know if the dot portion can crit, I think it can since 1.03.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
As for LoH, I found this :
Acid Cloud - Very tricky and needs a lot more testing! I think the Acid Cloud and Acid Rain might be effected by distance from the center. Appears to be 166% near the middle, down to 16% at the edges
Acid Rain - Most ticks around 280% near middle
Lob Blob Bomb - Blob ticks around 33% but saw 16% and 50% as well.
Slow Burn - Ticks of 16%, 33%, and 50%
Kiss of Death - Ticks of 16%, 33%, and 50%
LoH will proc, but don't count on it for the dot portion.
No idea on haste. You can probably cast it faster, but I don't think the dot ticks faster.
You should also know that the dots don't stack, unless you use Lob Blob Bomb.

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionBefore anyone tells me I need to go to the auction house to buy better swag, or to build my character a special way, or play in a group setting understand I didn’t really need to do that in Diablo or Diablo 2. I don’t think I should have to go to the auction house to get good bling; I should be able to find that in the game like I always could before. I don’t think I should have to become character build expert to defeat nightmare mode, which was the original appeal to Diablo over other RPG games. I have a job and a lot of responsibilities, I don’t have time to obsess over my character build.
Before considering these options, you could :
1 - Use a follower
2 - Craft some gear ingame (I went 1-60 and killed Diablo in Hell without the AH and without coop)
If you're not going to use your gold for the AH, use it to craft. You're still using lvl 9 gloves ffs. It'll bring back fond memories of Gheed.

Everytime some noob would rush to loot a molten champ and die, I'd say "molten explosions kill more than cancer". I guess Blizz just cured cancer :)Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Legendary item overhaul. Give certain set items / legendary a chance to drop only from bosses with 5-10 stacks of Nephalem Valor.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
A new class, a new mercenary.
A story with no hope for the main characters in the new act(s).

So, after the hotfix, I read this on the blue tracker :Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The chances of getting an item of each item level are even throughout an entire Act. The hotfix note provides "approximate" rates because there are minor variances based on item type, and the % listed is an approximate aggregate across all item types (for the item level in a specific Act).
Now, I don't quite understand what the Cm means in this quote.
Does he mean that some items have a larger % chance of dropping in certain acts ? Like veil piercers have a 5% more chance of dropping in act 2? Can all recipes drop in every act but some acts can drop them more frequently ?
I'm asking this because currently, I'm under the impression I can get any lvl 63 item in Act 1, including plans, any type of weapon, etc etc. But they just drop less frequently. This quote makes me think that if I want a chance at certain item types, I can't stick to act 1, I have to farm specific acts because some items are tied to an act.

OP, to be really thourough, you need to keep track of all items that drop during your runs, including the white, grey and blue ones. Doing so you might get closer to 8%.Posted in: Theorycrafting and Analysis
They changed the drop rates for items, not rare items only. Trying to calculate the actual drop rates with only rares is not the proper way of doing it.

Well, I'm pretty happy about the patch. Every Act I run I do gives me one 200k+ sellable item. Sometimes I even get an upgrade. I haven't timed myself, I'd say about 1h30 runs to get a full tab of rares. After I ID them, there's between 1-3 lvl 61-63 items I keep to sell or upgrade my stuff.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Pre-patch, the same run I was doing gave me lvl 61 items tops, I'd sell / keep 1-3 per run. It's a pretty big improvement for me money wise, because the items I sell are worth a little more, and I can have a chance to upgrade my stuff with lvl 62-63 items.
