Oh come on now, be serious, you don't have chance on non season anyways. These will always be some no life, no job, mom's basement kinda guy playing 22h a day that will beat you no matter what.
I mean you can't fix is 100% like season but you can still improve it, like capping paragon and gem levels in GRs. There could also be an option to do GRs for personal records where paragons would be uncapped but it wouldn't go on leaderboards.
Shure shure but first things first! Regular Banwaves then we can do legit paragon grinding and gem leveling 132++
At no time there will be legit paragon grinding or equal chances even if you ban all the bots ingame. The no job no life argument is strong indeed.
One of my online buddies is around 5.5k non season and around 1.8 i think in the actual season. No Job and no dutys the whole day. Just running speeds from the early morning until late night. If you are a normal person with a normal job around 8 hours and some family in the background you will never be on the same level as those guys. And if there would be a solution to cap paragon for example, it will be the time invest for rift phishing anyways. Its normal, if you want to compete in the top of the ladder that you will have to waste a decend amount of keys just for getting the right rift.
Maybe if everybody starts with the same premises you will reach equality, but then it will be boring if everybody that tries to compete at one special ladder place gets the same rift with same mobs and pylon spots. that would lower diversity of the rift system.
The no job no life argument is terrible. A person who puts more legit hours and work into the game SHOULD have an advantage, and they deserve that. Someone is always going to have an advantage over someone else, either with time, skill, groups, etc... There is no getting around that.
This topic is about botters. Not about if you should care about the leaderboards. You can't tell someone, not to enjoy part of the game, because you don't.
Bottom line is botting is cheating. If you don't care about botters, then this post is not for you, because you're not affected by it. If you're pro bot, then your "Gaming Ethics" are bad. For the legit players, bots are a genuine and real concern to fair play, and that is a problem the staff of D3 need to address.

Nigeldruid posted a message on Boters paradise D3Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionWho cares?
Well, clearly he cares.
Who joins public games?
Well, clearly he does. And judging by the number of public games, a lot of people do.
They will be higher than you in leaderboards? WHO CARES?
Well, clearly the botters care. That is why they are botting. The entire point of the leaderboard is to care. So if we shouldn't care about them, we should get rid of them.
In essence by the formulation of your post, you've voided the entire point of the game. So instead of banning botters, let's just close down the servers. That would be a reasonable solution to the problem according to you. Good job.

Thepunk007 posted a message on Cant run resolution 1920*1080 144hz with Diablo 3 64bit ClientPosted in: Technical SupportYou would notice a difference between 30Hz and 60Hz but no difference can possibly be noticed by a human being when comparing 144Hz to 143Hz.
That is the difference between 144 frames per second and 143 frames per second.
If you do notice a difference then it is most certainly all in your head...

Osiris9711 posted a message on The meaning of TurboHUD and why it is much more than just a hackPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionI know this was started a long time ago but I hope someone has mentioned the fact that the problem is not that it "should" be included as the hud for diablo 3 to begin with. That's neither here nor there, the game is the way it is and you either like it or you don't. I don't cheat, use bots, map hacks, and I don't use turbohud. I play the game the way the developers intended. The issue I have with people who use turbohud or any other cheat is that it makes the playing field uneven. I get satisfaction if I am able to make the leaderboards or now how high I can go on the leaderboards. If however I am unable to do so because I don't use a cheat but oh ... maybe 40% of the people on the leaderboards got there because they use turbohud for example, then it's not a an even playing field. I don't like that, and I don't care if the cheaters don't give a flying f whether I like it. They cheat, period, end of story, finis, and I for one am pleased as hell when they get banned for doing it, so suck it.

One important aspect outside the content patches: we are still waiting for a patch that improves solo bounty viability.

TrueColdkil posted a message on Diablo MMO/ARPG?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionI wondered too what it actually means.
Honestly i hope they don't go the MMO route. They have WoW already, comparisons would be just automatic and community would just split into the ones who like it and the ones who hate it. One thing i would absolutely not like is to have a world/maps full of random people and slow-ish MMO combat; Diablo is absolutely not about that.
Anyway, some MMO stuff may be pretty interesting:
- instead of small zones/maps, have a huge persistent world with bigger zones and no loading screens (waypoints still good)
- more character customization: both cosemtic (model) and though secondary skills like professions
- tied to above, a more robust crafting system
- while zones should be istanced for solo/small groups, you can have a central hub (or more) where you can see/trade/chat with other players
- static dungeons to tackle in solo/small groups; they could add lots of them over time to have more content/rewards to hunt for
- a gear grind that makes more sense than the one we have in D3 (way too fast, sets defining everything and basically removing nearly all the item hunt)
- while i don't like it, that is the chance to make trading right
Basically a fully online ARPG with some MMO structure. Stuff like raids should be avoided like a plague.

Tagger posted a message on Duplication of items possible in Season 10 on consolesPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Here's the thing though..
Patches on consoles, has to go through various processes to actually get live for the playerbase. This process can take several days/weeks, for Sony/Microsoft to run. That's one of the reasons why you don't see patches go out for consoles, as often as you see them on PC (in any game that goes on both platforms).
...along with the fact that there is a fee to starting the process (not a huge thing for big companies, obviously), on consoles as well - it all adds up.
But yeah - showing these things is great in general, but for consoles; not so much. It takes FAAAR to long to get a patch out, that fixes an issue (they usually tend to hold back fixes, until they have several, because of the time it takes to 'validate' and because of the cost - better to send out a 'big bundle of fixes' than several smaller ones). This makes the publicity of said exploits, fairly bad on consoles. It's a non-issue on PC - publish them as fast and vast as you like; and they'll just patch it 'whenever' - but that's not the case for consoles...
Edit:
I'm not saying you shouldn't publish and show people this - kinda forcing Blizzard to 'take action' - I'm just saying; that it might not get you the result you want (fast at least), but rather a ton more people using it, because of the (potentially) slow response to these things, on console (due to how Sony/Microsoft does their work).. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Before the release of Diablo 3 vanilla they also said they would release a future PVP patch. I think it was even written on the back of the game retail box.
There was also a video with a big boss showing that never made it into the actual game.
I would take everything they say with a big grain of salt...
