First of all, that passive applies only when you have a weapon with holy damage, which I don't. Other than that, your comment is highly relevant, but I don't have either of these legendaries.

Adhal, how would I increase the holy power at the expense of toughnesS? I already have +31% from bracers/amulet.

    Allright guys,

it's been a week into the expansion and I've been experimenting with various builds, skills, runes, passives and legendaries and this is the build I found the best. Since I haven't seen anything similar yet I decided to share with you guys and make a guide - hope you'll enjoy it.

    My profile:http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/meddling-2382/hero/38456809

DISCLAIMER: This build is heavily based on specific legendaries. Since it is surely possible to run this build without any legendaries, they make this build really shine and excel.
I called this build Holy Triangle since it uses Holy damage exclusively and it works in triangle - you deal heavy AoE damage* with expensive spell resulting in dropping health globes, picking health globes regenerates your wrath** resulting in a possibility to deal further damage resulting in dropping more health globes and so on. I've been running Torment II rifts like a knife through the butter since it is a most efficient way but I've been able to run T3 and T4 fairly quickly as well.

*You need two specific legendaries for this build - Fate of the Fell (Legendary 2H flail) that adds two more rays of Heaven's Fury, Reaper's Wraps (Legendary bracers) which makes health globes replenish your wrath.

    SPELLS:(spell/rune)
    Primary: Slash/Zeal
This is your filler for when you have no wrath and no health globes to replenish it. Use whatever generator you like, I use this one as I feel it is the strongest.

    Secondary: Heaven's Fury/Fires of Heaven
This is the most important spell here - it is your main damage dealer. This rune removes the cooldown as well as adds quite a big mana cost. This rune makes the spell deal INSANE damage as long as you can fund it with your Wrath (hey, do you remember Reaper's Wraps bracers I told you about earlier?). The flail I mentioned also adds two more rays resulting in a HUUUUUUGE AoE damage.

    Utility: Condemn/Vacuum
This is another damage dealing spell but it has another wonderful effect, it sucks your enemies together, it is basically your miniature pocket Black Hole! So you can suck your enemies together and then make them crispy with these delicious sunrays!

    Utility: Steed Charge/Endurance
Nothing to explain here, it makes you travel faster, farm more efficiently and it gets you out of the sticky situations.

    Laws: Laws of Valor/Unstoppable Force
Okay, this is probably the second most important spell in this build. Not only it improves your and your party's atack speed but the most crucial is the effect from this rune - it makes your spells 50% cheaper when activated! So when you meet a champions or elite pack, you activate the Laws of Valor and then smash your enemies with Heaven's Fury costing only 20 Wrath!

    Conviction: Akarat's Champion/Rally
Nothing to talk about here either, it's up to you whether you want to use this spell as a damage increaser, cooldown recharger or a base life saver. I've been using it mostly as a life saver in bad situations.

    PASSIVES:
Heavenly Strength - no brainer, you have an option to deal high damage with almost no downside - use it

Finery - 70 STR for each gem socketed in your gear is pretty damn sweet.

Long Arm of the Law -very important - it makes the effect from activating the Laws twice as long which in this build increases your DPS output crazily!

Righteousness - you need as much Wrath as possible, why not use some more?

    STATS:
Aim for high crit chance and a high crit hit damage so your crits are frequent and big. With the mystic in the game, this shouldn't be as hard. Attack speed is not as good but if you manage to add more with these two stats, it's only better. It is also important to use Diamond in your head as a socket since it will lower the cooldown of your spells (Condemn, Laws and AC). I gem All resistances since the DPS output of this build is so high I don't need to add more with STR gems.

Hope you like it, it is my first time writing a guide so I'd appreciate any critique of the build and the guide itself, if you have any questions about the build feel free to ask me!

How about this one - http://us.battle.net...UdZT!Wea!ZZacaa

I cut Zombie dogs, added slowing grasp and lob blob. My playstyle would be initiating the fight with spirit walk and soul harvest (int + extra damage) followed by slowing with grasp and spamming with lob blob and fire bomb. Meanwhile, Gargantuan would tank these. I chose Spirit Vessel as my third passive which should play the "ohshit" role.

This one's not bad, the only issue is that having PtV without any mana passives, lob blob is going to really hurt you mana-wise. I would suggest VQ instead of one of your defensive passives. I like using SV because I tend to have occasional lag spikes, and just generally like the oh shit factor of it but JF is definitely more useful overall.

Today I needed to finish my level so I decided to continue testing that build and recorded that - I pretty much love it. It has a great survivability as well as DPS output. Check it :)

I actually think any non-pet-centric build is going to get more out of SV than JF. Having the reduced cooldowns on SW and SH are of just as much importance to survival as raw damage reduction and the cheat-death mechanic is simply icing on the cake.

I agree with you, but now I have about 105k DPS when Soul Harvest is stacked 5 times and it is nearly impossible to fight reflect damage monsters without JF - and I have to say I meet reflect damage monsters all the time! :)

Just to make it clear - I am not looking for some basic builds, I am looking for cookie cutter build with which I can speedrun act 3 for xp//legendarys. Thank everyone for answers anyway :)

I definitely see your point here, however, even my signature spells deal a lot of damage - that is why I was looking for the best signature spell/rune combination in the first place.

I like the first build suggested by Rick, although I'm a big fan of RoT over firebomb since the toads can fall over otherwise frustrating obstacles like walls. I also can't really bring myself to use anything but zbears (and sometimes acid rain) as a spender. The punch packed by zbears is enough to render a really mediocre wd godlike for the combined duration of spirit walk (jaunt helps) and mana pool.

This is the build i'm currently using, although I don't really find myself using the zombie dogs to full effect that much. I'm considering dropping them for horrify or BBV.

    http://us.battle.net...UdYT!UWe!bcaYca

I like this one. When you are soloing, don't you have problems without slow from grasp?

Rickarus: I played without Jungle Fort for a while, but I found it impossible to fight reflect damage mobs without it.

Bilge: Thank you for your answer. With my gear firebomb crits for like 100-150k which I thought is ok for act III. When we are doing group runs, I'm taking some spender (Zombie Charger or Lob Blob), however, when I am alone I am focusing to survivability (because I am switching to full MF gear and it is the pain in the ass to run to my "corpse" when I get hit with some spear. :)

    Hey guys,

I came back to D3 after the release of 1.0.4 but didn't feel like continuing with my wiz/dh which I played originally, so I decided to level up Witch Doctor and I have to say I am enjoying it.

However, I am not as experienced with it as with eg Demon Hunter so I'd like to ask you for some help.

I have a decent gear as I took that from my wizard, however, I am not sure if my build is the best possible one.

    Link to my gear: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/MeddlinG-2382/hero/19022250

My idea is having build with both dogs and gargantuan as I need something to tank mobs for me. For Gargantuan, I am going Cleave rune - I think it is better than that enrage one, for dogs I am currently going for straight dps.

As for other spells, my main damage dealer is Firebomb, currently with Ghost Bomb rune - I am not sure if this is the best choice, many people use other one. Since this is not much of a dmg, I am supporting my damage dealing with two other spells - Soul Harvest with Vengeful Spirit rune and Grasp with damage rune.

You can see my passives in provided link - I am mainly boosting my damage, survivability and pet health with it.

I think it is quite decent build, however, I'd love to hear your arguments/opinions/tweaks to it.

    TIA
