I will pretty much be grinding Paragon EXP because you need less EXP in Paragon 2.0 after lvl 70 or so.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Nope, go watch the video. They removed the AH so that finding your own gear was feasible and satisfying.
Lol. And the wind from the seven seas will give you good fortune. Y u so naive.

Looks like I will never transmog or enchant something. You're never done gearing in diablo. They removed the AH to establish playertrading and longevity in the market, and now this.Posted in: News & Announcements
Seems really strange... What do they target with this? The people who transmog and enchant wouldn't/can't inflate the market to begin with because clearly they never plan on trading so what are they going to achieve with this?
Sure you could enchant and transmog early items you find, before your gear gets to a stage where all your pieces are valuable, but when that point is there you're there forever. Even the best geared players currently in D3 still occasionally find/buy/trade for an upgrade.
EDIT: I realize a lot of people are in favor of this feature. But I wonder, what can you really do with an item once you've enchanted it? 99/100 of them will be useless once you gear past them. Cross-class items are going to be even more rare considering Loot 2.0 drops can roll skill-specific affixes....

I too respect Blizzard for realizing the mistake they made. Long term the AH just ruined the entire game IMO.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
But don't forget it was for illegal trade reasons as well - Blizzard wanted to make sure players could trade on their own platform and not on third party sites such as you know which.
Now with the AH removed the longevity of the game is much better, but people will once again go towards these websites on a much larger scale. Personally I still prefer to do it that way, as you can easily make the decision not to use those websites.
Plus, most importantly, it brings back the need to trade with your friends and that's worth it for me. I love the idea of finding some items and then having to actually message people on my friendslist to see if it's an upgrade for them, or if they can otherwise make use of it. It's going to be great.

Don't get excited for a closed beta key unless you're going to get a guaranteed key through an affiliate or something. You guys forgot the D3 closed beta? I entered about 15-20 different giveaways/competitions on twitter/fansites/tech sites, and eventually still had to buy one. Just like a lot of my friends.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
This time around I'm just going to assume I won't get in.
Still gonna try of course.

That's quite insane. So he was chatting with you a few times?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The almost 6k hours played is quite a lot but that doesn't really mean anything. There are always these gamers that play an absolutely insane amount of time on a single character. What's his gear like?
Probably nothing you can do about it to be honest.

We'll get a lot of the information we want at least.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Very curious how they plan longevity with the stat attribution.
November 8th and 9th. Hopefully they broadcast the D3 panels again so we can watch them.
Also nice Lost reference.

Not sure how that would affect Inferno in it's current state, but it would still be the easiest implementation given the info that we have (just the name Torment).
If that is the case, please explain:
- X1_Azmodan_Adds_Description_Tag - Kill Azmodan without killing any of his minions on Torment difficulty or higher.
You're totally right. Didn't read properly.
However I did think of something just now, if they are adding infinite paragon with infinite stat allocation, surely they are going to implement a long term system to deal with that kind of power scaling we're going to see. Maybe something like tiered difficulties, Torment being the first? On top of the current content that is, of course.
That would explain why the achievement is for the first difficulty (Torment), keeping the casual gamers in mind, and it would still allow easier implementation of this new paragon system, as they don't have to mess with the older difficulties as much. Just speculation I know, but I have this feeling it's something like that. For sure there's going to be a long term AI scaling system.
That said if they dont have a system coming it would be a big disappointment for me. I don't want to scale to a point where I can just run around and 1-shot elites.

Of course if Torment is a merge of Nightmare/Hell it would probably require a lot more balancing. But then again, Blizzard is working hard to make changes to the game. The auction house and loot system changes are of huge proportions.
It wouldn't surprise me if they do merge nightmare/hell. I too feel like 3 difficulties is enough, maybe a 4th if they do a merge, and Torment becomes the "new" Inferno (ie play it at max level for 'end-game').
Edit: We'll probably know the answer nov. 8th/9th from the BlizzCon d3 panels.
