You can by all means farm the gear you want by yourself but it will take a long long time as trading is major part of diablo gaming. Trading in Diablo 3 happens through AH with using gold as currency. Or if you simply don't like AH, you can go through the traditional route of spamming trade/general/forums.Quote from makaYeah, but see, that's the fundamental problem right there. We went from 'farming for items for you and your alts' to 'farming for items to sell so you can buy items for you and your alts'. For some, that might be a good thing, but for me (and some) it's just not the same, and it's not fun. I never went over 400k gold because I just don't use the AH. And the problem is that not using the AH to sell doesn't just affect your ability to buy on the AH, it also affects your ability to craft things for yourself. If you don't sell on the AH, it's very hard to have enough money to upgrade all your gems and to craft the gear that you need. So, to me, it's unacceptable that you really can't be self sufficient in this game.Quote from ReisoriFarming 5m isn't that bad and neither is 10m, sure it takes a while and might have to far for days but isn't that the fun in farming? Something to look forward to!
If it was easy to cap out your gear without trading, the game would simply be too easy and the itemhunt game would be almost.
But seriously, I have wondered a long time what is up with the people playing without AH. I mean why? I haven't heard any single good reason to play without it. "I don't like AH" or "I don't want to" are the only reasons I've ever heard. Why would anyone want to gimp themself on purpose?
There is no way you could get yourself a gear that would be considered any good in Diablo 2 without trading so why that should be any diffrent in Diablo 3? By good gear I mean high end runewords, elite uniques ect. If you tell me you have compleated more than one good runeword like Enigma with self found runes I must say you have the luck of a lottery winner.
