Has anyone tried a build using Pile On as the main attack, reducing its cooldown to 0 sec? Suggestions?Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura

If you stack enough "reduces the cooldown of ability by X sec" so that the CD should take 0 sec, does it in fact function as no cooldown? Does it then cast/recast at normal attack-based speeds?Posted in: Theorycrafting and Analysis

What is the movement speed reduction to non-Hurricane WW? And is it an additive or multiplicative reduction when combined with Sprint or other movement speed effects?Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
(This is probably common knowledge, but I can't find the answer.)

Characters with neurological disorders are definitely going to be way more awesome than those without! Definitely male for me.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
Many people have complained about the male voice, and I don't really get that... he has a (Jamaican?) accent... doesn't seem out-of-place.
I usually try and run a roughly-balanced distribution of male and female characters; I will probably be doing a male Monk, WD, and Barb, and female Wiz and DH.

I suspect (I have no real idea) that both Wizards and Witch Doctors will get not only general damage buffs from their respective class 1H/OHs, but probably access to class-specific (very likely resource-affecting) attributes on their class items. Might make spells cheaper, increase regen, increase resource cap, etc, but I am kind of expecting something like this, or if not, then some class-specific effects that are still very useful. Otherwise, it seems like the biggest and slowest weapons will be best for them most of the time, which is not, I think, what Blizzard wants or intends.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura

Sucks because I will be playing hardcore and not something Ill want to 'fool' around with to see if it works.
It may be prudent to have a softcore character of high enough lvl to wander some parts of Inferno for build testing purposes which can then be implemented in HC.

I played DI, not from it's initial release, but certainly a long time before DII came out. I pre-ordered DII's collector's edition from Best Buy, and still have the big ol' box. I bought the pre-order for DII:LoD exp and listened to the soundtrack that came with it endlessly for the months before the game was released.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I am 27. And I'm PC user.

I think I would lean in a direction like this:Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
planning to dump out a few Arc Orbs or Meteors - Comet then bolt (or tp, as the case may be) and do it again. Even if being chased by a mob, I think you could manage to keep the hits down to 1-2; if you take a triple hit every 6 sec, you will still be fine. Slow Time will help you avoid incoming missiles from casters, and against lots of very small hits, Diamond Skin will probably eat most or all incoming damage.
Built this way, it is NOT for killing speed/efficiency, but is a straight survival build; the kind of thing you might run to get through some difficult part of Inferno solo. Don't complain it won't kill things fast enough: clearly it will be a slow, chip away strategy.

For about a year, I've been intending to build a new computer for DIII, planned for ~2 months before release so I could break it in. Replacing a now 5-6 yr old computer; giving me only 2 months from announcement of release date lost me half my time frame though. I tuned this one a little differently than I normally would, since I wanted a quite PC, so I picked the video card for low power and low noise (I can crossfire later if I have to this way too.) The keyboard is amazingly excellent; mechanical, but really very quite, and not quite so... poppy as Razer's equivalent. I'm most satisfied. Also: never build another computer that doesn't boot from SSD.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
