I was thinking also that it may be a cool idea to have something like a trade lounge. Maybe a custom town-like level (or just Act 1/5) where players could join (between 8-16), and trade. Personally I always liked in D2 being able to go to trade rooms and do business. OOO maybe that could turn the Act 1 Tavern into a trade room, or make a bigger levelPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from Mini641I have a feeling the games economy and trading in general will be near non-existent.
If the loot is anything like the console version which it probably will be without a AH.
Players will simply farm for their own items or farm in a very small group and share.
Stuff like account wealth and item worth wont matter at all.
Gold wont really matter since crafting and any other gold sink will be killed off by low costs.
I've seen it happen in D3 on Console, In Torchlight 2 on PC. I expect D3 on PC to follow suit. The only trading based ARPG left will be PoE and that game is like that because the drops really, really suck and the entire game is a life sink.
Thats actually a good point, for me as a player of the Diablo series, I actually prefer solo play for the most part. It would be nice to think that my own farming will be all I need to make my characters top tier and then maybe some trading for perfect gear towards the end may be nice

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from pylorihAll you need to get an idea of what happens to gold is to look at the D2 economy where gold is useless.
yeah that is my thought as well, however it may be worth thinking about how much gold we have to spend on upgrading gems, crafting high end gear, and who knows how expensive the Mystic could get.

Hey all,Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
With the announcement of the AH shutting down, I am sure lots of us are wondering where the economy of the game will end up and most relevant to us, is what we can do to prepare.
My initial thoughts are that gold will obviously become harder to get, as we have to either trade for it, or find it in game. This makes me think 2 things. First, people with gold in the billions, could remain really ritch, but since the only gold sinks (to our knowledge), are Crafting (Gems, Armor, Weapons, and Mystic). and repairs, this could mean that actually having large sums of gold may not be as valuable.
Another thing that may happen is that, following the AH shutdown, gold may be a strong trading source, but then fall off as time goes on.
Regarding gear, I think that even the most perfect gear in the game will lose a lot of value, considering that even the best is only lvl 63 gear. We don't know how high the gear level will be in the expansion, but since the max level in D3 Vanilla is 60 with 63 gear, we could speculate that the gear level could be beyond 70. This means to me that having perfect gear is more relevant to your characters ability to farm at X MP and get better gear when Loot 2.0 and the expansion kicks in.
Anyway theses are just my initial thoughts and reactions. Let us all know what you guys think.

For fun. Purely for fun.
It's also why I have two wizards, one main for all the min/max/highest potential type and the second one designed to just run the ninja spec. It's also a way to explore new concepts of builds in case the existing abilities get major buffs or changes come expansion. She's currently at paragon 83 now. So once she hits 100, I'll see if she can reach MP10. I can run MP8 with the spec fairly easily (kill time is a bit slow, but it's a lot of fun teleporting and running illusions nonstop).
This! Also Jaetch you should Stream big fan

I mean we will probably only play several times a week due to time scheduling and because of the better drops and reduced mob density i think this could be alot of fun especially since we already have a tank and 2 ranged dps classes in our group.
As such i dont expect to be farming mp 8-10

Hey guys my 3 brothers and I are going to start playing a console run this Sunday. They are all new to D3 and have chosen Barbarian, Witch Doctor, and Demon Hunter. So i started thinking that as far as gear is concerned we have a STR, INT, and Dex class respectively. I really want to play a Wiz and I was trying to think what would be a cool complementing spec. Then I remembered Jaetch had that sick Ninja Wizard.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
I think it will work out well, as i can look for gear with 70% int and 30% Dex playing as a mobile melee for the party as opposed to playing a monk. What do you all think?
