posted a message on [Build 2.4] Guide for the Little Supernova - 1000+ DBs per hour + 2min rift clears with Video Guide

I run this build in high-end gear (i.e. 3k Woh with 90+ EB) and want to discuss the option of cubing Krelm's Belt instead of Nemesis and exchanging Conflagration with Dominance. That means of course to swap Nemesis manually, which you already commented as too stressful, but in my experience the additional speed gain makes up for that one second per shrine/pylon. Dominance is required to make the Belt buff permanent, since it does not disappear, if your shield absorbs the damage.

With this, the fully buffed movement speed is 25 (base) + 25 (Krelm) + 30 (teleport/illusionist) + 25 (Wreath of Lightning) + 50 (Warzechian) + 25 (Scramble) = +180%. Even at the start of a rift you still get to +80% after using teleport, which is, according to d3planner, the same as having a dimensional speed pylon active.

I've run this yesterday together with goldwrap and TR offhand (I do not really need the additional 20% damage for TX) for permanent shield and the movement speed is just insane. It really hurt when I switched Krelm's out for GR60 speedruns, it just felt so slow compared to before.

posted a message on Try Twister Firebird!

I can't watch the video due to country restrictions (music ftw). From the description it looks like it plays similar to the Tal Rasha Vaccum build I use, am I right? Your build seems like a decent alternative if you only have Firebirds and a few of the core items.

We need a perfekt rift with super high densitiy to my twisters can wreak havoc.

This is quoted so often and it simply is not true. Of course ET is at the peak of its powerlevel, if you get density, such that the rift is completed at the first floor. But if you do not play at 5:00 AM you won't complete such a rift anyway, because you can't do anything due to lag.

On rifts with lower density, you just have to get used to walk by most mobs and group them up at a choke, whenever it seems fit. That you are able to do a fast clear when density is high indicates that you focus too much on killing individual mobs.

For the RG, there are mainly two things:

    1. Make sure to lure him in a corner, such that most of your ET's hit him. That's not possible for every RG, due to some teleporting, but it's still an important part. Never fight the RG in the middle of a room.

    2. Check what build your barb uses. I think there are two globe builds out there, one was mainly used when groups still included a DH for RG damage and thus did not have that much globes on single target. The second spec, which most barbs on the leaderboard now use, is able to generate much more globes on single targets and thus allows you to somewhat get a steady stream of ETs. Also make sure to be able to maximize your ET output when CoE reaches its Arcane status. If you are able to get 5-6 ETs sticking on the RG in a corner when CoE is Arcane you will notice how fast the RG loses hp during that time.

I would say Tal Rasha and Vyr are the two easier ones. Firebirds is also not that hard if you have gear and death wish, imo Delsere just sucks.

dont get me wrong, im not trying to take anything from you guys.. but the lvl competition is just a bad case of rng, explination:

    2. Cains set

If you have enough people clearing bounties for you while you level Cains is not that of a problem though (although we managed to get no recipes out of the 3rd cache and still no Cains at 23).

Just for the record, this bug did already exist on the latest version of the PTR and transferred over to live.

Was it discussed on the PTR forums ? There is tons of discussion going on now all over forums and boards and a lot of people are arguing that this is intended behavior (buff going on only on infinite burn), which i find really hard to believe.

Actually I also think that the buff going only on infinite burn is intended behaviour, if I remember correctly it was this way since the very first PTR iteration. I think it is fine for GRs, as you want to reach the burn as quickly as possible anyways. The problem with Firebirds as the first set is just that most mobs are already dead after 3000% weapon damage, so it is one of the weaker sets for a freshly geared character.
Regarding the bug that elite stacks don't fall off - I don't know, I don't read PTR forums at final PTR iterations. Non game-breaking bugs don't get fixed anyway a few weeks before the patch arrives.

posted a message on Patch 2.4: ULTIMATE GUIDE for Season 5!

Your Wizard leveling guide says to take a level 34 requirement passive at level 33.

Noticed that too yesterday. Also, it changes the Disintegrate rune for 2 levels, betwen 31-34 iirc, without reason, maybe mistake too?
Because without Conflagration the Convergence is a better rune than Volatility. The 33 mistake is probably because it's taken from my sheet and I forgot to add the 34 next to the new row after 33.

Hmm... You changed the layout of Wizard leveling but you left out the comments section of the original that says about what to craft, when etc

Probably because most of it is similar information to the other page on the sheet. If you prefer to have it all in one page, feel free to use the original wizard sheet.

Yeah thanks, I will do that. Something that is kinda irrelevant with the journey to 70, is that these spreadsheets have different build when you get your 2pc set from mail.
As far as I know the sheet of Drahqe does not have a specific spec to kill Zoltun Kulle (which you can do immediately after you get 2pc). I just added a solo spec that performed the best out of several builds for the sake of completeness. If you run with a group it probably does not matter, as Zoltun is not really that hard to kill.
Regarding the 4piece spec and GR20 I just think Drahqe's Wizard spec is much worse than mine. I wrote about that on reddit here. From my experience no one in Drahqes group plays a Wizard, as most of the non-endgame content for Wizards was often not highly tuned.

posted a message on Patch 2.4: ULTIMATE GUIDE for Season 5!

I just did a couple of low level runs on US to check for recipes out of the caches (I have no recipes on US, so it's easy to test that way). Bonus caches do not drop recipes. Out of the normal caches you get 3 recipes. In my first runs I only turned in my caches when I was 23, as expected you have a (relatively high) chance to get Born's or Cain's.

However, during one run on lvl 13 I killed a recipe goblin and he dropped Cain's. I started to turn in my bounties at lower levels, to see if this does affect anything, and I still got Cain's, Born's as well as the other low level legendary recipes. I wonder if that's because I have a character which is >= level 23, but it still is a little strange as none of the recipes above level 30 dropped (my highest char on US is 55). Probably worth to check at season start on Asia if its possible to turn in bounties earlier as 23.

posted a message on Help me finish my lightning build! (Going for very 'lightningey' and not 'clear maximum possible rift')

Have you thought about archon with [Storm Armor : Shocking Aspect]? I did run a lightning archon storm armor build with Broken Promises and Chantodos and the result was a very sparkling wizard. It's a little more mainstream (because Vyr's) but you can clear T8/T9 and still get the satisfaction of triggering epilepsy.

A great guide. I've used your planner models pre-patch for my own theorycrafting and it's nice to see that the performance of hydrachon works out in practice. Wanted to use something similar to the T&T group build, but unfortunately 4mans are unplayable right now.
I commented a bit on the Broken Promises suggestion.

posted a message on how to get "the thrill" conquest with wizard?

Just did it with a random hydra build on the first try. To be honest, this was far easier than I thought, I had lags, the rift was bad and there was still over 5 minutes time left: http://puu.sh/jWGM1/ae52593e62.jpg

I probably just outgeared it with high paragon level and some ancient items. Tornado just pulled everything in the slow time bubble and I could facetank it, while dual Hydra damage does its thing. Optimized this achievement would probably get hard at the 45-50 range.

You don't know what lag meta is if you don't play a wizard at this density in 4man ;)

    Keep going though, great work.
