I had a quite unexpected death a couple of days ago.
As you all know it's possible to press Exit then Exit Now to get away from some situations, and I've done this before numerous times without any issues. This time however was different. I was playing in A1 Inferno and came across some guys with Mortar I couldn't beat off (took down one guy but 2 or 3 remained) so I decided to run away a bit and then exit the game. I had well over 50%H health when I exited but when I log in I see that my barb is dead.
I suspect this is because of the different server structure they have adopted in D3. Calculations are first made on your computer and then sent to the server for verification, so eventhough I lived on my computer, the delay on sending information meant that the server calculated something else than what my computer had, hence I died.

A3/4 runs has given me some really nice ilvl61/62 rares. Do runs on Cydea + Azmodan. You'll fill an inventory full of rares each run with ease. Same thing with A4, just takes a bit more time.Posted in: Hardcore Discussion

Well, topic says it all.Posted in: Hardcore Discussion
Got all the stuff except the tomes. I'll try and find them myself, otherwise buy them from you. Leave a message here or add Patraquashe#1125 on Bnet if you have it.
Crafting prices went down heavily this patch so give a reasonable price.

Bonus elemental damage or just damage of some sort.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Bonus to your main stat.
Bonus to attack speed.
Bonus to critical damage.
Bonus to crit chance.
Damage dealt converted to life.
That is pretty much what an ideal weapon would look like for any character / weapon type.

VIT and Armor is what you need. Resistances are just bonuses, not musts.Posted in: Hardcore Discussion

It's the only part of the item system I don't like.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
In Diablo 2, unique items were both hard to find (at least somewhat) and generally had superior stats to your average rare item.
In Diablo 3, legendary items are just hard to find.
Take the lvl60 legendaries for example, many of them have great stats but can turn into a complete let down should one of the item affixes be one you don't want. Imagine Windforce with +150 STR or INT instead of DEX? What could have been tons of extra damage and dodge now turned into a measly amount of armor or resistances. Add to this the fact that they are already inferor to most rare items of the same level and you basically have a whole item type that is useless.
Sure, the unique visuals from legendary items add flavour to your character, but at the same time, they serve little or no purpose when compared to the rare drops from late Hell difficulty and Inferno.
I can see myself playing a character with just legendary items simply because I would look cool and it would be interesting. But as I play HC, I want my character to be useable throughout the whole game.
Also, I question why they call them legendary items when the stats they have generally are everything but legendary. Lower level legendaries are worth using but the higher level ones doesn't even compare to their rare quality counterparts.

My friend is playing a melee wizard in HC. Pairs really well with me as a barbarian. We have no survival issues.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
