I personally like the numbers that THUD shows (damage, exp, etc), but i dislike the fact that it works like a maphack. It gives user these precious SECONDS to get rank 1 instead of rank 2 for example. And this is a cheat as well.
I doubt there is at least ONE top1 ranked player left now who hasn't used thud. Maybe just Quin and Alkaizer.
Did you ever tried to turn map reveal off? However, there will be ppl on this forum whihning on you because you have the numbers that THUD shows (damage, exp, etc) and gain an unfair advantage.
The truth is what d3 is NOT showing your DPS totally, just a few digits telling nothing about reality. And THUD does. And you have to use THUD or d3planner if you want to get more than a char for t10 rifts.
In my opinion using THUD is far, far worse than botting. That's actual cheating given it's a massive advantage vs. another player of comparable gear, skill and paragon.
Botting is prevalent because, as widely discussed, the end game now consists of grinding paragon and to a certain extent bounty mats. If they are going to ban botters then they should also ban THUD users. If Blizzard like the concept of THUD they should incorporate elements into the game.
i have no idea what the paragon fix is, just seems to me that it would be better to identify the root cause of botting and fix that instead of reacting (too late) to the by product of a deep rooted problem.
Yes, you are right. Blizzard should ban all botters and all thud users! They also should ban all autohotkey/macros/numlock users and all players who have additional keys on their keyboards and mices. Cause they do have an unfair advantage vs legit players. After that, Blizzard should ban everyone with 16:9 screens cause they have a massive advantage vs. player with 4:3 screen (me). And only then the game will flourish, cause i will be able to be top 1 in all ladders.
