Jul 10, 2013dousie posted a message on DiabloFans Interview With the Diablo 3 Team, Blue Posts, BlizzCon 2013 Talent ContestIs there a particular reason there are not more than 4 types of gem in the game, as a plethora of gems could seriously improve customization with things like legendary gems that give specific properties that are unique and mostly non-numerical? For example, a gem that takes up two gem slots that gives 50% Magic Find would be awesome and maybe cause the player to reconsider just slotting in a +40 intelligence gem.Posted in: News

Apr 5, 2012dousie posted a message on The Real Box, More on Inferno, Dyes, Poisons, GDC Panel Video, PAX East PartyWhen I watched the GDC slideshow, I finally realized why the Diablo art was so much more superior to other games like Titan Quest; in turn making it funner: the way they make the environments. When I first saw the early iteration screenshots of environments, I said, that looks like pretty much every Diablo clone on the planet. Those game developers don't get it. It doesn't get the mood right and makes it less fun. I would have committed suicide if Blizzard decided to use this type of art.Posted in: News

Please note that it is still in beta and is still being run through very intense testing for bug fixes and glitches.

Say what you like, don't like about the arpg genre, or what can be improved upon or even removed!

Lucid is the name of a game I've worked on for a while. It's an action rpg as is Diablo, and it's my version of the genre, the way I wanted to see it done. Obviously, I am limited by a budget of zero and time, but this is a product I am proud of, and am still not yet done with.
A dark mentalist has captured you in your own mind! This dark trans takes you on journey through your imagination, including many abstract areas and monsters. You slay one after the other in this dungeon that is constantly changing. The power you hold grows as you collect items and skills. Unlock passive abilities and unlock your true potential.

Find unlimited items!
Unlock passive abilities!
P.S. I will post a link in an edit once I upload next patch this week!

I'm actually looking for beta testers! There's a version available for download, but just note that it is missing many game features, sound, and also has some bugs. I'm working on a patch for sound mostly right now. Here's a link:

P.S. Thanks for the awesome feedback! The responsiveness of skills is one of my main focuses when I create them, but never tried to make a chart or whatever to see where the "gaps" are.

I really like the idea of changes monsters to your will, and the ability to create illusions, or morph time, etc.
The whole "Fireball that does x and y" is also fun to iterate on, so I'll take anything you've got
Thanks for the feedback,
Sorry for the rough start, I'm kind of new to forum posting

The game is called Lucid. You start off in a dungeon and never leave it. There is no town, there is no going back. The dungeon is your mind. A dark mentalist has caused you to enter an unwanted trans and your imagination takes you to a labyrinth like dungeon where you fight off monsters. Of course, your killing spree does not go unrewarded. Many items of varying rarity and power remain undiscovered by your mind, and you must use their potential to defeat the mentalist once and for all. A variety of skills can be found by any of the three character classes, but each of their passive skill tree differs a lot. Every time you play, a new dungeon layout is created, as you venture through six different zones...
You mind is a prison, and they only exist because you let them...
Revelations will occur to you and help you fight against these monstrosities...
You choose who you are...
