Surprised there was no mention of any ladder. This was the last panel where they could talk about it. Sure they might get a question later on the Q&A, but then it's not planned on their side.Posted in: News & Announcements

Currently if you play the game "normally" you're around lvl 30 when you finish act 4 right? Let's just for the sake of it say you'll be lvl 40 when you finish act 5, what will you do then? Just crank up the difficulty and go back and grind previous acts, which would be no different from what's currently in the game? Do you need to play through the campaign once to "unlock" adventure mode or can you jump into it at lvl 1 if you wish?Posted in: News & Announcements
Or will RoS simply just balance the exp so that if you play the game on normal from lvl 1, you will be close to 70 at the end of act 5?

Difficulties are revamped: Now are Easy, Normal, Hard, Torment, Demonic, Apocalypse
Sigh...such pointless name changing. What was wrong with Nightmare and Hell?
Agree. "Easy" and "hard" does not fit. You can do better, Blizzard!

I really hope they make a decision on what will happen to allocated paragon points on character A if and when character B dies.
I have one HC character creeping its way up to 100 (currently 65), but I grow more weary of playing it when i see posts that indicate that no decision has been made on the subject.
Previously they have mentioned that they are leaning towards allowing experience from dead characters to count, but not final yet. As you say, if they decide to NOT count it, why would anyone want to play any of their high lvl characters right now? It makes no sense NOT to count it and in my opinion there isnt even a single good argument as to why it shouldnt.

I'm kind of split on the whole "Torment" thing. There really isn't enough information right now to make any conclusions, but working on the assumption that it is in fact a new format for difficulty modes and not just a new name related to MP, my gut reaction is "ugh". Normal > Nightmare > Hell is a Diablo tradition and I'd hate to see that go away. Still, if it improves the game flow or whatever, then I guess I can't complain.
Agree! Assuming the "Normal -> Torment -> Inferno" would be true, it makes no sense why they wouldnt just go back to "Normal -> Nightmare -> Hell"

Were you forced to ask questions about the console version to get this interview? Can't think of any other reason why you'd ask any questions about it otherwise.Posted in: News & Announcements
