posted a message on Did he died?
This is a rather unconventional post that is intended to explain in one way or another that I. . . iz. . . back!

    Kind of. . .

Some of you might recognize me, but to refresh the memories of those that don't this is my channel and these are some of my guides. Long story short, I stopped posting videos abruptly after promising many more guides which is why I'm making this thread.

Before I get to the point, an explanation is warranted on where I've been. If you followed my streaming, you probably know I stopped when I was diagnosed with Crohn's. I needed to shift my content to a platform that allowed for a more flexible use of time (YouTube) so that I didn't stream for hours each night. My Crohn's is rather mild, but it periodically makes me tired to the point that it wouldn't be fair to my viewers (or myself). So I adjusted my diet (fruits and veggies galore!), brushed up my video editing skills and moved to YouTube!

Around my second guide I went in for a (now regular) blood test to "wrap up" my diagnosis before committing to a treatment plan. They were looking at my liver, specifically, to ensure it was healthy enough to tolerate various potential prescriptions. Lo and behold, my enzyme levels were elevated. There are a number of reasons this could be, but two ERCP's and many weeks later (I wouldn't stay under the first time) I was diagnosed with PSC. At that point I needed a break from everything to sort out how this would affect my life and what I needed to do going forward.

For those who didn't click the links (or did and don't even. . .) Crohn's causes inflammation in my colon (large intestines) that can trigger a "flare" wherein I experience fatique and symptoms similar to your typical food intolerance. If poorly managed this inflammation can spread and lead to surgery/cancer. PSC is basically the same thing but in my liver where my bile ducts are inflammed. PSC is currently considered untreatable outside of a transplant when my liver (inevitably) fails. Put them together and I need to eat much more than your average bear to even hope to maintain my present weight as my body has trouble breaking down and absorbing food.

I've come to terms with my situation and am adequately prepared to manage my symptoms thanks to an incredibly early diagnosis. Basically, I'll be periodically shoving tubes down my throat and up my butt to make sure my organs aren't trying to mutiny. . . joy. . . I was going to return to making guides before 1.0.8 hit, but my computer caught fire one night when I was (luckily) there to catch it. I spent the following weeks piecing together a new computer. I still have the burnt cables/HDDs so I should probably take pictures for show and tell ;P

TL;DR: I have Crohn's (periodic russian roulette food intolerance-like symptoms), PSC (gives me the liver of a raging alcoholic and skinny jeans), my computer caught fire and I have a new computer.

Real life srz bsnz out of the way, I want your imput on what to do with my channel! I could continue on with precisely the same style of guide, but I'm wondering if more of you prefer shorter/more frequent mini-guides in contrast to the longer/in-depth guides I have now. I enjoy making these builds to share with you, but I want to make sure you can tolerate watching them ;P

    Your thoughts/questions below!

Good and solid work, but you are little bit late, this build is popular for a very long time, but more like a variation of a standart hota build 'with thunderstrike rune to stun enemies'. and that is honestly all, that you can say about that build, do not know why are focusing on this rune so much.

also you are trying to cover all aspects of barbarian in choosen skills, and it does not play good. you can throw away half of your advice, if you loooking on middle-high barbs and doing ~mp6+ and as for beginers: you have so many variants and options, that it will not help them to choose )

It happens, I know not all of my builds will be entirely "new," but this is one of my older builds from months back. I'm only late in the sense that I hadn't yet moved to YouTube. I covered this build while streaming before HOTA gained popularity after the two-hander buff. As for why I'm focusing on this particular rune, it's because that's the whole point of my guides: taking less used runes and showing viable ways of using them regardless of whether or not they're top-tier efficient.

Don't take this the wrong way, but more people have commented (publicly and privately) about my builds being easy to understand while still offering a variety of options than those suggesting I cover too much. I'll keep this in mind, though, should more people start to share your concern.

Why do you think efficient build must be instantly boring? I play infinite wotb HotS build from time totime, especially uber farming. And its amazing. It's also quite challenging to play the build, as I dont like any cost reducing items for hots. And sprint is so so usefull in so many situations its hard to pass.

However I understand what you are trying to achieve, it's just not anything I'm looking for. What I do like about your video is the graphical design. It looks fancy, and I like fancy stuff.

I don't, I just find the idea of making guides for builds that I neither came up with nor use as being dishonest. I actually use the builds you see in these guides allowing me to get excited about them and draw on real experiences with them. Not to mention that I'd be trading "this build is slow" comments for "congrats on a truely original build! *eyeroll*"

Glad you like the design, though :D

I actually JUST finished replying to a similar comment on reddit, so some of my reply will be familiar if you read my reddit post.

I could make guides about the more popular builds (as some people, like you, have been asking me to) showing ways to improve them even further (because I happen to be quite good at min/maxing from my strong D&D roots) and no doubt gain a lot of popularity for it. Unfortunately, I'd slash my wrists afterwards and/or be bored out of my mind given that nothing about those builds would be "me." I play (A)RPG games to inject my own personality into them and these quirky builds are how I do that. My goal is "fun" and enough people are enjoying these off-beat builds that I'm satisfied :) I might be convinced to sprinkle a cookie-cutter build in here or there JUST to say "okay I did it" (such as after a major patch when folks are scrambling), but it'll never be the focus of my channel and there are already plenty of others who do that already.

While I'm not TRYING to be inefficient, because believe it or not, I'm one of THE most efficiency driven people you could meet (when I was streaming I covered the AH a great deal and participated in a podcast), I derive more enjoyment from the creativity of a build than the pure efficiency of a build. For example, I hate whirlwind. I really do. It's just a dumb ability (to me). Likewise, I HATE the keyboard faceroll of CM Wizard and the mindless "roflazor" of Archon. The abilities don't follow any kind of theme, there is no personality to them, it's just a smattering of "the best" abilities in the game.

I'm also completely backwards (according to many people) in that I don't actually play Diablo (any of them) to "find the nice shiny oranges" nor do I care how slow/fast I clear things because I'd be playing an MMO if I wanted to hop on a treadmill. For this reason I also don't care for the Paragon system, have yet to craft a hellfire ring (or even attempt to) and don't bother with ubers unless I'm in a party that basically forces me to. I think a lot of people forget that these kinds of games are also about developing a character and with the itemization of this gaming being completely borked, the only real way left to do that is with your build.

Nicely made guide as usually, but again i dont agree with the build.

I dont want to sound like a jerk, but i think this is a pretty bad version of the HotA build.

You got no sprint, no perma wotb, no perma hammerspam. (single target)

I think "different" is the word you're looking for, and you're going to dislike ALL of my Barbarian builds because I specifically try to avoid commonalities between them. You don't even have to watch my guides to say "No perma WOTB, no sprint, this is slow and sucks" because you're going to be right most of the time. I'm purposely avoiding putting that particular combination into every, single, build, because it's boring and defeats the purpose of my guides. It's the same with CM Wizards. I don't think you're a jerk at all, but I think you're missing what I'm trying to accomplish.

Also, you can certainly achieve "perma WOTB" with this build. . . if you want to. I cover this in the guide. You can also "perma hammerspam" with this build. . . if you want to. It's in the guide as well. I take a lot of time researching popular builds so that I can address them in the rune option portion of my guides. In this case, I mentioned Thrive on Chaos and how to use it, the benefits of attack/move speed and -HOTA items with Mighty Weapon being a route for those that are interested. Obviously you're dual-wielding which can be quite strong, but the whole point of this build is to use Thunderstrike with a massive two-handed weapon to stun things.

Efficiency really isn't something I worry about which is probably going to be a problem for you given your preferred playstyle.

Nice video btw! :) (Hate the song, though Xp)

I'm back with another guide! If you missed my last guide for a Sleet Storm Wizard, you can find it here:

This build uses Thunderstrike's stunning mechanic to focus on heavy burst damage for guaranteed AoE stuns. Overpower and Rend provide considerable hands-free damage with multiple options for increasing survivability as needed. Battle Rage with Into the Fray supports the spamming of Thunderstrike, but you can opt for a Mighty Weapon and -HOTA items if you want to use Marauder's Rage.

Feedback and/or criticism is welcomed and appreciated as always :D

posted a message on Putting 1000$ into my monk need help picking the right gear.
I'd just like to point out that even $300 is way too much. That's 1.2bil gold. . . you don't need that much to gear a single character. I happen to have spent a total of $50 on gold, all of which I got from selling items through the RMAH. With that, I have geared 8 L60 chars that can easily clear MP 1-5. The kicker is I'm intentionally using less efficient builds for the sake of my enjoyment and the build guides I've been putting up. Had I focused on the best builds, there's no doubt I could have each class farming MP10 very effectively.

I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is and personally walk you through the process of purchasing items if you haven't already done so because I hate it when people waste money without realizing it. In fact, we'll take your $300 and start with the same $50 I spent. I'm betting that's plenty and that whatever we DON'T use you can donate to me, to your cookie fund, to a random stranger in this thread, to charity or whatever else you want.

I have helped many people purchase gear sets both on my stream (have stopped streaming for the moment) and via 1 on 1 sessions like what I'm offering you. I have an strong understanding of the game and know how to work the AH. I can actually TEACH you how to continue buying good gear rather than just pointing you in the direction and hoping you don't mess up.

If you're interested in my offer, shoot me a private message and we'll discuss what kind of build(s) you want to use and how we'll get you there.

I'm back with another guide! If you missed my last guide for a Hand of Ytar Monk, you can find it here:

This build pairs Spirit Barrage with the spirit theme of Rush of Essence to allow for spamming your abilities. Horrify with Frightening Aspect, Soul Harvest and Gruesome Feast provide significant boosts do your damage and defensive stats allowing you to get by with mediocre gear. You can use the version shown here for fast AoE clearing of the lower MP levels through Grave Injustice or swap in more traditional abilities like Zombie Bears and Acid Cloud for the higher MP levels.

Feedback and/or criticism is welcomed and appreciated as always :D

Merry, happy, wonderful year of new things and maybe presents! I'm back with another guide! If you missed my last guide for a Weapon Throw Barbarian, you can find it here:

This next guide is the surprisingly tanky Bola Shot build. It mitigates the delay of Bola Shot and Spike Trap by emphasizing survivability in the higher MP levels. Vault with Trail of Cinders and Smoke Screen with Choking Gas offer mobility/survivability while providing additional damage and healing with LoH and/or LS.

Feedback and/or criticism is welcomed and appreciated :D
