I don't know what you're smoking. Sure Diablo has RNG loot generation so you could farm for months and theoretically not see anything useful to your character (hasn't been my experience, but possible). However, it HAS been my experience that I, as melee dps, would go months without seeing an upgrade. All the items that dropped would be caster or tank, or just pointless for my character. I quickly got to the point where, speaking selfishly, if an item didn't drop off an early boss, there wasn't much personal point to doing anything for an entire week.
Luckily I'm patient. In wow I would farm hardmodes for months just for a drop, or even the possibility of one. It gave me a reason to keep coming back, plus I actually... you know... enjoyed playing the game, even if I didn't get gear. I enjoy playing D3, and will continue playing it, even if the RNG generator isn't giving me the items that I need for my character. Plus I could always make one of each character and then I would have a very good chance of making use of most of the gear that drops.
Granted I've never been put in a position where I had to choose between a woman and gaming but...
I view women that have a problem with guys gaming as a control issue. All the healthy marriages I've ever seen (as in ones that actually last) each person has "their" time. For some women, it's mani/pedi time, or lunch with the girls or what have you. For guys, at least the guys I'm friends with, it's gaming.
Sure if you've got some important meeting you need to do as a family (eg. getting a new house, family member sick) then sure you need to go take care of it. If the woman just wants attention and gaming has attention for a while, and she throws a fit, well she's too much of a control freak. But then again, I'm single so take my opinion for what it's worth.
That's mostly right, and usually it's not just gaming. It's usually pointed toward one of two things:
1) high-maintenance woman who needs attention all the time to keep her insecurities under control
2) guy who doesn't give her enough attention, even when he's not gaming
Those are the two extremes, but there's a lot of room in the middle there. My wife listened to the other wives talking about how their husbands were always in the bar or out playing golf, and decided that having me right there in the house was pretty handy.
Ha nice! Put it this way, if you're killing demons, you're not out in some raunchy motel! You, sir, are a lucky man.

I dunno I kinda dislike shield, walled, mortar worse. I also had a particularly nasty jailer, freeze orb thingie (forgot what the name is), plus extra health.
I don't fly through the act, I kinda go slow and steady, but I tackle most large packs and special groups equally. I kicked Belial's butt with it, and I'll soon use it on Azmodan.
You love a game where blues are better than legendaries? Cool. If your logic is that bad no one is going to care that you're tired of constructive criticism.
Actually I do, I think it would be extremely boring to get a legendary and know that for the entirety of the rest of that character I won't ever find something better. I know that legendaries have random stats too, but the whole theory behind them is that legendaries have more stable stats than a blue (eg. you won't get a magefist with nothing except str and dex). Personally I think that people would have been fine with the system if they had kept the same names but classified them as uniques instead of legendaries. Just like when Blizzard called Death Knights a hero class, people expect more because of the name.
Well first off Diablo 3 doesn't HAVE a ladder. In Diablo 2, ladder characters got special equipment, access to special runes and what not. When they reset the ladder they never deleted your character, they would simply convert it to a normal character. You didn't have to start over unless you wanted to make a new character that would again have access to those special things.
Since Diablo 3 doesn't have a ladder, doesn't offer a game mode that gives you special bonuses (though I'm not sure about Hardcore), there's no reason to reset anything, nor is there anything really to reset,
I would say use whatever gives you better overall damage, unless you come across a wizard-specific weapon that gives a really good bonus to a spell/stat/etc. you use on a regular basis.
There's a setting in the options that you just check the checkbox and it allows you to put any skill in any slot. I don't know the setting name off the top of my head, I can post it later if no one else does.

1 int = 5.245833333 (repeating)
Has anyone else tried to figure this out? If so, is that what you get?

As for myself (end of act 3 NM, level 49) I am using the following build:http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#ZlRXST!YWX!bbbaZZ
