Jun 12, 2012Daemaro posted a message on Real Money Auction House is LiveThe funny thing is people selling those weapons for like 1-15$ are probably raking in cash selling items and the guy sitting with his up for 180$ now is stuck for a day and half with it not selling.Posted in: News

Jun 12, 2012Daemaro posted a message on Real Money Auction House is LiveThe prices are ridiculous. 1000dps hammer with 24% atk spd and 400 life on hit. Yeah its a great weapon... is it worth 180$? No.Posted in: News

Jun 6, 2012Daemaro posted a message on Patch 1.0.3 PreviewAttack speed nerf, Inferno nerf. (I hate using this word)Posted in: News
Won't it hopefully just even out nearly?
They're not removing it, just making it less appealing compared to other stats. It's pretty obviously the best stat overall right now as far as I'm concerned. So it makes it a "must have" on items in Inferno. I don't like the idea of anything being a must have, especially not to the point of where attack speed stands right now. -
Jun 6, 2012Daemaro posted a message on Patch 1.0.3 PreviewI'd love to see a bot that runs good enough to kill elite packs but doesn't get caught by warden.Posted in: News
I can imagine some of the simpler bots doing just easy gold runs, like on pots maybe but I can't imagine one running elites right now without being caught.

no, they didn't compare hardcore deaths to the repair costs, they said Hardcore people could give you advice how to not die as much /be safer overall.
Right... and when you die in hardcore your character is deleted. So it seems like they're almost drawing a parallel between paying full repair costs as being as bad as your character being deleted. That's probably just them exaggerating it a bit though, or maybe me just reading into it in a odd way. -
Jun 6, 2012Daemaro posted a message on Patch 1.0.3 PreviewI ended up spending like 200k on gems as well without realizing it. Was just not paying attention and trying to craft that next level. Doing it so much in D2 I didn't even think about it costing gold until I looked up and had 80k left. Only myself to blame though.Posted in: News
Overall really loving the game so far though. As melee I get smacked around a lot and maybe its just me but the gear wall is a very steep climb using only your feet and if you want to do it without aid of the auction house I'm convinced it's literally right now impossible as a melee class. -
Jun 6, 2012Daemaro posted a message on Patch 1.0.3 PreviewThey compared dying in hardcore to be as devastating as repairing... That's the only thing that worries me, although I hope they're just being extreme.Posted in: News
Anyways bring on the patch. -
May 28, 2012Daemaro posted a message on Diablo III - Game Design UpdateWhat does it matter how many people are in Inferno anyways it's just who has unlocked it. The difficulty between Acts in Inferno is pretty vast in itself.Posted in: News
I wonder what the percentage of people in act 3 is or act 4. -
May 28, 2012Daemaro posted a message on Diablo III - Game Design UpdateAs far as I see regarding builds and inferno right now, I'm a monk. Why the hell am I essentially forced to use a shield to survive at the moment? Also every one of my skills has a defensive attribute attached to it and I have to keep the passive to heal all the time, that's not very diverse and it's sort of against the nature of the monk class. I rolled monk not to use a shield and mitigate damage, but to dual wield and do a good amount of damage quickly. Late hell and early inferno you have to play so, so defensively it ruins any real choice you have.Posted in: News
So I'm very happy to see they plan to address the damage being too spikey, and hopefully as they said we can use some more offensive tactics to survive. -
May 28, 2012Daemaro posted a message on Diablo III - Game Design UpdateLookss good. Now I want 1.0.3, playing without it I'm gonna feel blind. Considering waiting until then to play my monk who's stacking resistance in Inferno right now. If I'm going to be able to play a bit more offensively, great, I don't want to waste gold on trying to gear him up right now then. Gonna level an alt I suppose, but hmm what to level.Posted in: News

yeah printed guides as a legitimate source of info are a scam at this point. but, some people like to collect those kinds of things.
Pretty much this. The internet has changed dramatically since the days of the SNES, especially with the advent of wikis. Printed game guides are a dinosaur at this point.
So are books though when compared to digital media. The best part about printed media is and always will be, it's more comfortable for bathroom reading. -

That might be inarius all chained up right before his banishment, depending on when the vid is set.
Well according to lore Inarius was gave to Mephisto almost right away, so I dunno when that would have happened. -

The traffic congestion is so damn irritating though. They don't pick a job because it's close to them, not that I've noticed at least. They pick jobs based on their wealth and the wealth of the job. It seems basically anyone in low-mid class will work a industrial job, low class workers work in low class commercial jobs, mid to mid, etc. That part doesn't bother me. The main issue my city right now is having (with 140k people) is no matter how many avenues I seem to add I have traffic issues of people getting in and out of my city on the one highway connected to it. I even have fully upgraded streetcars and bus services along with a ferry and a train station but the highway still gets backed up so bad it goes off my screen.

Drugs being illegal drives the market underground into seedy alleyway transactions and dirty condemned houses, and who's profiting from it all? Drug cartels, dealers, mules. It's a huge industry that because of the drugs being illegal it allows them to rake in a lot of cash from it.
Aside from that a lot of pain medication is opiate based already so I for sure think they should be all tested for medical benefits.
As far as commercial use there are some drugs, even if legalized will never see commercial use because they're far too destructive. Tobacco is far easier to smooth over and candy coat than meth. Even if the drugs were legal the political and social backlash of a company mass producing crack or meth for commercial use would be staggering and probably rightfully so.
