Fire monk is BONKERS fun! I just put the finishing touches on my build:Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
- Way of the Hundred Fists - Blazing Fists (WHY IS THIS NOT FIRE? )
- Exploding Palm - Essence Burn
- Sweeping Wind - Firestorm
- Mystic Ally - Fire Ally
- Dashing Strike - Barrage
- Mantra of Evasion - Backlash
- Sixth Sense
- The Guardian's Path
- One With Everything
Also, protip: The active for Fire Ally is bonkers. It provides both fantastic aoe in a pinch, and a very strong assassination strike versus single targets. 1500% weapon damage with no cost and relatively low cooldown is very very strong.

I COMPLETELY missed that Weapon subtypes effected it. Crazy...Quote from Venaliter
This isn't true. It's 20% damage for Elemental Exposure. Also, you forgot to mention the last bit of text on Elemental Exposure. It says Weapon-type damage is counted too, which might mean If your weapon deals fire damage, you can skip Ignite and pick up Magic Weapon Deflection or something similar.Quote from itskaspa
Elemental Exposure (free 80% damage)
Now how I read this was "Each type of damage applies a stack, which can be repeated 4 times." Considering there are 4 types of stacks to be generated, I thought there was a maximum possible of 16 (4 for each type). Multiplied by 5% per stack was 80% total. Either way, it's still kind of crazy to get 20% damage for clicking one button haha.
"Damaging enemies with Arcane, Cold, Fire, or Lightning will cause them to take 5% more damage from all sources for 5 seconds. Each type applies a stack, stacking up to 4 times."

Well depending on if Wizardspike keeps its proc or not, its VERY easy to hit with all 4 schools in 1 click:Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
- Arcane Torrent - Cascade (Disintegrate is a fine choice as well, should they nerf AT's procrate).
- Magic Weapon - Ignite
- Storm Armor - Shocking Aspect
- Cold Blooded (obvious)
- Elemental Exposure (free 80% damage)
- Unwavering Will (free tank AND damage while channeling)
- Dominance (You need tank passives if skipping MW-Deflection. Paralysis is probably better in Torment).
- Arcane Orb - Arcane Orbit
- Spectral Blades - Flame Blades
- Magic Weapon - Electrify
- Ice Armor - Frozen Storm

Agreed, my enchantress is kicking ass now with a new Maximus. Very much loving the new changes, it makes playing solo a lot more fun.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

At the moment the GAH is down, but there's a little "B" at the bottom of the tab that is supposed to switch between RMAH and GAH.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

The issue of 4 player games is only really relevant to Duel and Trade games, both of which are gone now (sadly). The argument that "there are 5 classes, why not 5 players?" is also irrelevant because when an expansion comes out and we get a new class or two, people will start complaining about needing 6-7 player games.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Mostly, this is not D2.5. Having played beta I can already see that any more then 4 would just be complete chaos. The environments are mostly cramped dungeons outside of the sprawling world map, and fitting that many more creeps to compensate for an additional player (or two, or even three) would just get ridiculous. The screen gets busy enough with 4 players and 20 creep slamming graphically intense AOEs with next to no cooldown.

I honestly don't think a properly tuned and played monk (or even barb) can die... Ever. There will most certainly be "gear checks" at some points during Inferno mode, but both classes have so much mobility and mitigation that you'd have to be prettyPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion
badgreedy to not abuse them. Monks specifically have an incredible skill ceiling, with near infinite mobility to get in and out of trouble. Huge AOE cc's with a short timer, Heal buttons (!), and fantastic tanking passives.
I'm far more concerned for the ranged classes with limited escape and tanking options. Ranged mobs so far have been far, far more dangerous in this installment. Melee can be kited, Archers and Casters cannot, they will just stand there and shoot you. Since Ranged classes have inherently weaker defenses, these packs become quite problematic. You can only Teleport or Vault away from melee so many times while simultaneously using that same resource to take down the ranged packs before you are out of options. Plus you're still getting shot the whole time, leaving you weaker when you actually do have to deal with the kite pack.

During the first playthrough of Beta, the random lore and books you find are so engaging that I literally couldn't put it down. There's so much story and none of it interrupts the flow of progression. Everything feels "in place".Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Beyond that? Getting rich.
Diablo 2 was like a stock market for gamers, and everyone likes money I've spent nearly 10 years playing Diablo and almost all of it was spent trading with players. Public Games (ala D2) going the way of the dinosaur certainly depresses me, but there will always be JSP and other forums to communicate and barter on.
