To answer your question on what to gamble, i would suggest helm, in the hope that you get a decent Andariel's. It's not impossible to get a decent roll from gambling afterall
+1 on this, just got my Andy's tonight after about 500 shards:
They're not broken. You are just getting level 60 items, where we used to get 63. The same thing happened to Wizard/WD offhands rolling pathetic average damage ranges.
But who cares, none of this gear matters in 4 days.
During the first playthrough of Beta, the random lore and books you find are so engaging that I literally couldn't put it down. There's so much story and none of it interrupts the flow of progression. Everything feels "in place".
Beyond that? Getting rich.
Diablo 2 was like a stock market for gamers, and everyone likes money I've spent nearly 10 years playing Diablo and almost all of it was spent trading with players. Public Games (ala D2) going the way of the dinosaur certainly depresses me, but there will always be JSP and other forums to communicate and barter on.
Anyone who played at Blizzcon will tell you how important a WD is. Do not underestimate them.
That said, Monk is completely un-kitable and very, very difficult to kill. His peeling power is also unmatched with the low cost, no cooldown, teleport (Dashing Strike) that also happens to root the target for a few seconds. Couple all of that with insane healing and multiple CC effects, and you've got an easy winner.
Having only played around with him at lv 13 rocking something like 80 dps and only having 4 skills on top of one passive, I can already firmly state that the Monk will be the best PvP class available. Not to mention, probably the most fun to play I've had in a long time. They remind me of Assassins so much, with DS instead of DF, Blind instead of CloS/CoI and so on, but so so much more fluid and fast paced.
It's a good thing. Repeatedly running bosses is predictable and boring; being able to efficiently farm everywhere will keep the game fresh.
It runs counter to RPG conventions, but makes Diablo 3 a better game.

This exactly.
I mean hell, who ran only ran bosses after the aLVL changes? It was all about Pit, Tunnels, Maus, Trav, and CS, only stopping at bosses that were in the area or if you're bored. Andy and Meph were sometimes worth it, but the only boss that really made sense was Diablo, sense he was RIGHT there Champions we're always something you were looking for, and I'm glad they're solidifying this principal.
Also, don't forget we don't have Enigma any more. Boss (only) runs really won't be possible any more.

Agreed, my enchantress is kicking ass now with a new Maximus. Very much loving the new changes, it makes playing solo a lot more fun.

you pretty much need a 3-5 neck to break 100, she's in nearly perfect gear everywhere but sat just shy. throw on the neck and bam, huge gain.

Progressive Metal without Lyrics, the stories feel perfectly told without words. Love this band, can't wait to see them again with BTBAM next week!
