Don't forget it's a game after all. I'm sure most of you were here also before the announcement of the RMAH meaning you intended to play the game and have fun, not as a means to earning money.
So regardless of how worthwhile or not worthwhile cashing out of the RMAH is, you always have the option of just not cashing out and playing it as you intended before the RMAH announcement.
Of course it is all highly speculative and until after release that we see actual fees and actual item prices on the AH nobody will be able to completely make up their minds about it.

Sep 1, 2011Tesken posted a message on ActivisionBlizzard WebCast Analyst DayYeah doom is right, by taking a % for cashing out they are going against what was said earlier that no matter how much an item sold for it wouldn't affect them.Posted in: News
Also, I'm not sure if they said it explicitly, but I think most players until today (myself included) were under the impression that the cash out fee like the other ones will be a fixed flat fee. I wonder if there is an interview somewhere in which they said it or it just seemed reasonable until now by what they said. -
Sep 1, 2011Tesken posted a message on ActivisionBlizzard WebCast Analyst DayI think generally the 3rd party sites want to encourage you to deposit so they don't take any fee for deposits, only for withdrawals. That being the case, any fees taken for cashing out after selling in the RMAH will go to blizzard and not the 3rd party site.Posted in: News
Of course, effectively the 3rd party site will be getting their fee aswell, because once your money is there, it's a matter of time before you withdraw/use it and they get their fee than. So they don't take a fee from the deposit after the RMAH sale, but they effectively earn the future fee from cashing out of their site.
Also, from hearing pardo in the video it sounds to me that he does in fact mean the % fee will go to blizzard.
Btw, all that is said just to clarify things as I understand them, and not to go against or criticize blizzard. As a matter of fact I don't have a problem with them taking this fee, it's the logical move for a business company to make and I agree with them for doing it. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

A few suggestions about the build first:
You have a good amount of all res and I think you will be better off with war cry - impunity instead of overpower.
About passives, definately change bloodthirst, probably best to superstition but nerves of steel is also an option. I'm currently on 170k damage buffed and still prefer superstition over bloodthirst most of the time.
As for gear, i think a new offhand with high LoH instead of LS is a priority, you need much more damage before you can afford a LS offhand and i personally still have LoH on my offhand.
You also need a lot more life, at least 40k, saves you from dying on burst damage.
Other than those things gear choices seem pretty solid, just a matter of slowly improving the damage without losing all resist/vit etc.

Anyway the LoH on amulet is pretty sweet, but there is no replacement for LoH on weapon, I wouldn't recommend going with less than 1200 total LoH and the 2 best sources are amulet and weapon.

I can honestly say that I farm act3 very easily (tornado barb) and can beat any packs including the one you mentioned if I have my WoTB slaughter CD up. For 90% of packs I kill them pretty easily without the CD aswell.
The gear is pricey but that is with 200% mf unbuffed, getting the same stats without the mf should cost a reasonable amount.

My suggest is you need to get ~40k hp (your current hp is pretty decent) but mainly you need much more all resist, around 600+ unbuffed (9xx with impunity) to farm act3 effectively without dying much (i have 950 AR with impunity and die about twice in a full act3 run).
About LoH you weapons are good, you usually want main hand without LoH and an off hand with 800+ life on hit. However, that is not enough alone, you also need a 400+ LoH amulet.
To summarize, get an amulet with 400+ LoH, and boost your all resist a lot (without hurting your damage and max hp).
P.S. I saw the issue raised here of WoTB with TOC and it is definately not mandatory for this build, I run WoTB with slaughter and find it much more effective for me, makes the really hard champion packs take 4-5 seconds instead of quite a bit of time (most champion packs are pretty easy even without WoTB)

Yeah, MF affects whether the rare item will have 4, 5 or 6 different affix rolls, obviously the 6 affix ones being the rarest

I'm running act3 fast and efficient with mf gear (dont have swap set, its my normal gear), got around 225% mf with 5 stacks (looking to raise that even more)
playing dual wield double tornado (with bash and slaugher rune on WoTB), 39k dps, 900 resist buffed, 43k hp
most packs die within a few seconds when wotb is up, and around 15-20 seconds if not
The mf doesn't really hurt my gear, just makes it much more expensive.
My suggestion is to get an mf-less set that you are happy with your act3 farm speed in, and than start switching piece by piece to more expensive mf items without losing too much stats (maybe even gaining on some pieces). Takes a little while but eventually youll end up with some nice mf on your gear and a nice farm speed.

Although I'm not a wizard (playing barbarian) I do run my regular gear with 222% mf unbuffed (297% with valor) and I'm farming act3 killing a rare pack in 12-20 seconds usually and generally a rare pack every 3 min or so (I skip all white mobs though).
Since its possible with a barbarian I assume its possible with a wizard so don't be so quick to flame him

It doesn't hurt my farm speed (champion pack in act3 inferno without crazy affixes takes me ~10-13 seconds to kill) and get usually 3-4 rares from a champion pack.
Still got 2 pieces I didnt change to ones with mf and am looking to do it asap.
tldr: dont keep mf set and switch to it, buy your regular gear with mf on it, costs a bit more but you won't regret it

built for maximum call of the ancients uptime, defensive and offensive buff, and mainly building damage bonus stacks through runed frenzy stacks and than whirlwinding the fury away

It was probably planned for release much sooner without the revamps, so you could say it failed as a project in that they didn't meet the original planned schedule. However I am guessing that financially and critically it will be a great game and I'm definately looking forward to it.
So yeah basically it has failed in some regards, but I think overall both blizz and most of us will be happy with the outcome.

Don't remember the specific ones but I do recall Jay Wilson saying on interviews more than once that they view it as a co-op game, with the option of doing everything single player aswell.

Making them shared just saves you that hassle, which is the direction they are generally taking with the game, eliminating pointless time-consuming tasks like these.
