posted a message on Quin's Itemization Rant

It's funny because if grifts never existed this wouldn't even be a topic. Give people something to epeen about in ARPG and you get more crying, go figure. I would bring up how this game is many times better than D2 but people will just say that game is too old to compare to so I'll leave it at that.

    Quote from Gorok»

The game is far from finished, and they failed big time @ release, even they admit it!

Saying the patches are free and we should not complain is idiotic since the multiplayer version of this game sucks beyond words. Sure, if you consider the storyline as being the whole game or at least what matters the most, then yes, you payed for it and now you can't ask for more, but if they made it online only with strong emphasis on competitive multiplayer, which now we call the Adventure Mode, then they can't ask you for money to fix something they released incomplete or broke as hell!

That's actually the drama behind it all. The story is good and the game performs well in that regard, the problem with Adventure Mode and competitive multiplayer is that they barely started working on it! Not long ago having a set on you meant you really don't want to do any killing, and it took them years to figure it out!

Also, give up the discussions about Blizzard losing money by working on the game for "free". I made a post here a while back making a general math exercise and found out that they got a shitload of cash from selling D3 and it's expansion, so much actually that they can live out of it for tens of years even if they didn't had the other games! So stop this useless rant and stop caring so much about a huge company that bathes in gold! Really now, what's this urge to defend them? You can't critique a game you love because people like you guys are oblivious to what's going on with the company making these very important discussions stray too far from what's important! I said before and I'll say it again, mods should immediately edit and erase any reply that takes this incredibly stupid and uneducated approach and give warnings to users who do it! It's a forum crime worst that going

on incredibly offensive racist rants in my book!

Yes vanilla was pretty shitty. We paid extra for RoS to basically get what we should have had in the first place. The cube was the final piece, now its some tweaking and TBH I don't expect much more from this point on unless we get an expansion.

As mentioned earlier companies exist to make profit, all I'm saying is there are MANY other companies that put even less effort than Blizzard in their products (EA is an obvious target). I can't think of any games that Blizzard left unfinished and was just complete utter crap (Well maybe D1 since a 3rd party actually did the expansion which improved a few things).

Please stop the butthurt that a successful video game company makes money because they tend to deliver good games (even if it takes years and many patches its better than never). I think your mod editing should apply to this post because all you say is I hate companies who make money. I'm actually going to report your post based on your stupidity idea... gotta call them when I see them,

If you really want to make this an actual non mod editing post idea maybe speak about how RANDOM dungeon hack n slash doesn't fit well with competitive play since RNG plays a role in maps, monsters, and density etc... Since there is no PvP (this is really the only thing missing from D3) and botting/grinding has always been the way to go in any Blizzard game there really isn't much more to address from a competitive stand point.

Be nice if you could add a comment section. I have an assumption where you are going with your topic, but I'd like to note that I drink caffeinated beverages for more than the physical/chemical "dependency". In my culture there is a large social interaction tied to having coffee with friends or co-workers. :P

Good luck on the paper :)

I remeber paying to play, mb there is a free version i am not aware. So if they make a 1 time pay game and have to fix it a lot of time, is that my doing ? I am still looking for the cry here....

You might not know this but most companies make you pay a one time fee and don't bother providing any patches. If they do they barely fix any of the issues and generally rely on the community of gamers to make addons etc... to improve the game.

Unless your making subscription payments there isn't a reason to expect more than what is initially offered.

You want discussion? I think we all know this game is far beyond beta, it doesn't feel like a beta and it's not incomplete like a beta. They are applying a free patch at 0 cost. Each individual on the team wake up, get out of their house and go to work and do work (develop Diablo 3) and for this bonus patch that they have spent work hours on is FREE. I dunno why you're crying about "pay blizz 4 fixing their beta game". It's not a beta and you're not paying so you're essentially crying for literally no reason and that's really sad m8.

Nether Tentacle is probably the only way to make this type of build more tanky but the damage out put would be terrible.

    Quote from Gorok»

Actually the difference is either barely noticeable or nonexistent. Though they did decreased the exp bonus, they've increased the amount of experience the monsters give you to match the nerf, so new players or new grinders will get the same amount of experience the old players equipped with exp gear were getting, with the added bonus of not actually wearing exp gear. Basically if you wear exp gear now you gain more exp than you were before the "nerf". Nobody looses anything, all players benefit from this change. Their philosophy is always, at least nowadays, don't nerf down, make the weaker things more powerful than that must have one. Remember RoRG? How many people use that now? Just a few!

Also if you look closely even pre 70 chars have things to be happy about, sets like Born and Cain had their exp gain increased significantly!

Thanks for the update. I knew about the overall HP monster nerf + monster exp boost. I'm just happy I can solo and get decent exp.

Thats how it is, first come first serve. If you played this game from the start you get some sort of minor rewards over others and I think that's fair.

    Quote from Demordivator»

At least in regards to bounty materials, it's 1/2 torment level. So t8 drops 4, t10 drops 5. t9 and t7 however i think is 50/50 on dropping 4/5 or 3/4 respectively. Also that number is doubled if you do bonus act, so basically if you're only doing bonus act, you get the same number of materials (on average) as the torment level.

From my xp with ubers, t10 seems 50/50 on 2/3 organs but that's pure conjecture.

Maybe.. but I've done nine T7's and got 4 mats (or 8 with bonus act) EVERY time. I know its a small sample and I could have had a good streak but right now I'm convinced its 4 mats for anything over 6. I've only done one T9 and also got 4. I can one shot anything in T7 so right now it just makes more sense to farm T7.

atm its seems T7-9 drops all the same cache mats. I haven't done a 10 yet but speed farming T7 seems the most efficient to getting cache mats.

is there less elite/champion groups in grifts now too? The furnace would help with clearing these mobs as well.

    Slayer,

Me too actually. I tried various MS builds, Chakaram builds, Bolo Shot builds, and CA builds. Once I got a Kindershot and was able to do an Ice build I just started wrecking things. I think one of the things I like most about the changes is that it's okay to have other skills on the bar now. I can actually use vengence and not have it be a bad thing. It's pretty awesome to have five turrets down, pop pet, pop vengence and just watch Elite groups melt. very happy with the changes.

Yah I still haven't found one but using a cold rocket build and increased my Grift level by 6 using the same gear. It's fun using vengeance again.

EDIT: messed up my quoting... oh well

I had a lot of issues working with my DH at the start and had to try about 5 or 6 builds out before I found one that worked. They are way stronger now.

The gobs are awesome and ancient items are a nice extra grinding layer. Grifting is much better than before, and channel pylons (at least for Dh) are the new conduit pylon. Overall happy with the changes, I haven't messed around with the other classes yet.
