Geo Proxy bots are common, Its not difficult and bots make more money than the electricity bill costs.

By actively engaging players with the option to "Buy Now" you ecourage and consequently increase the amount of players purchasing with currency.

RMT will be bigger now, especially for outsides sources. There you can RMT with real money and get a real money return if you wish. Don't be fooled into thinking it goes away. The RMT market will be massive in comparison to the previous installments, each player will see it. Blizzard just wants a piece of the pie. The only loser here is those that cannot afford it and care about have shiny items. The prestege of those shinies is diminished significantly.

Lookup EVE online, they did the same as blizzard is now.

SC2 and SC1, got races, some primary units and the playstyle as the same, it's an RTS, it feels the same, ALL RTS feels the same, red alert, C&C, dune etc ...
That's the core part of the franchise, but they changed a lot in SC2 from SC1.. :)

From what I read out of most of the posts lately and especially on the diablo3.com forum is whine about new stuff, thats not the same as the "original".. (and then they say D2 instead of D1 which was infact the original)

What "restrictions" do you see in D3 compared to D2? and don't say skill, coz with the no point system you have more choice..

    Less expansions? .. D2 had 1 ?.. I'm sure we will get at least 2 ...

People refer to D2 as it is generally received as the better of the two and the most recent installment to date, also irrelevent. Blizzard is taking a different route with D3, it is a different game. A difference to a degree many seem not too excited about. I lean both ways. On one hand I cant be in a game with all of the friends I would hope to be, but on the other I can buy items instead of farming meph all day at the expense of my social life.

I think most of us that played D2 when it was released have real jobs now and can afford to buy items rather than farming them.

Not everything has to be the same in a franchise.. otherwise it would be boring, would you SERIOUSLY want D3 to just be D2 with better graphics?

    Ever play SC2?

I don't believe everyone expects the game to be exactly the same, however, I believe a lot of people expect to see what was great expanded. I'm seeing more restrictions, less expansion, excluding the general content released with any new game.

Read these forums, any D3 forum really... I cant recall another installent surrounded with so much contempt, not saying that outweighs the excitement. It is alarming.

Sperating PvP and PvE through different game modes takes away from the original series. Its a changed, no arguing that.

Blood moor pvp was fun. Too bad its gone forever.

At least I can still be productive at work and not have to farm meph 10 times a day. I can just buy that item instead of crossing my fingers.

RMT usually sucks for the majority of the community, but for some of us its a huge time saver.

Anyone significantly annoyed with the low player count allowed in the game?

One great aspect of D2 was all joining a game and progressing, even when you were all at different progression points.

Four player caps seems significantly low. Seems completely backwards.

Off topic: More I read about this game the less I understand the reasoning for these changes. Looking forward to the next notch in a series for a franchise should be exciting, not concerning.

Co-Op Restricted to 4 : More like WOW 5 mans than D2's atmosphere.
    Skill Trees : Gutted
Equipment Prestige : Gutted. Why spend hours trying for a drop when you can spend $30 instanly. MF for $$$

The same PvP that furthered D2 longevity should be added to the list.

    No Hostile Toggle system...
No Min/maxing character building (Stats and Skill points)...
Always online, not huge but still...
RMT Trading in game... Blizz trying to get a cut, this does not solve the problem. See EvEonline for example.

Huge disappointment. I usually buy games even if its not what I hoped for but for fun, this is like a slap in the face.

Blizzard has a amazing track record for their longevity in the software games and IPs they create. Games lasting decades, PvP that keeps them strong. This make no sense to me, has to be more to it... Just dunno how to they can backtrack from the known thus far.
