Why would anyone care if they implemented a separate offline single player mode for the people that want/need it to play?

Personally I don't give a dead moose's last shit if it's online only. That said, only a sheep would think the game will be "better" due to the omission of a single player mode. If that bothers you, you're probably a sheep.

Blizzard was the second gunman on the grassy gnoll too.

    Excuse you?

It's a lame solution, but I guess it's better than what we had before.

With the RMAH, you can be sure people are going to try to bot their ass off.

But hey, if people are going to do it anyway, might as well make it official. That IS Blizzard's new credo, right?

    Quote from Winged

Sometimes freedoms need to be taken away to preserve the overall quality of something (Apples IOS products are a great example of this philosophy). It's not just about "messy" or "clean", it's about reliably, and correctly balancing game difficulty.

He who would sacrifice freedom for safety deserves neither and will lose both.

Say they give you the choice for up to 8 players per game. It's impossible to balance the difficulty of an 8 player game to match a 4 player game. People who play with 7 others would mow through enemies without risk, or challenge, thus getting more drops per hour, and breaking game difficult.

There's nothing impossible about balancing what you describe.

Right now in D3 one of the great things about the 4 player cap is that it still benefits you to play with others, just in that you can kill faster, but at the same time you can still run up against a mob that could give all four of you a hard time. This doesn't happen with 8, I explained why earlier.

    Official Blizzard Quote:

Because your kill rate goes up. Despite the difficulty increase you simply kill stuff way faster in a group. More 'drops per hour' means you want to be in a group.

You didn't explain anything... You merely said it would be impossible and tried to back it up with some unfounded claims.

I'd rather have the freedom to choose how many people I want to play with. Then again, I'm not a sheep in the Blizzard flock.

I wonder if it's better to submit PC specs or Mac specs.

My PC is more powerful and is my main gaming rig, but it's kind of just another quasi-above-average PC. I use the Mac for work, and it's about average. Since only a small fraction of the people playing games use Macs, I wonder if the chance to be selected as a Mac tester is greater?
